La Grange de Pyraine is a quiet house for a successful stay in Périgord with family or friends. It is located in a small quiet hamlet without vis-à-vis and without joint ownership. We are on hand to welcome you, explain everything you want to know and give you the best addresses. From the house, you can radiate in all directions to visit the magnificent region rich in history, enjoy its gastronomy, its architecture and its hilly landscapes. On your return, you will appreciate the ambient calm while enjoying the garden or the swimming pool.
Garden 2000 m2, swimming pool 5 x 10 m, summer dining veranda with integrated barbecue. On one level: large living room with fireplace, very equipped independent kitchen, separate dining room, laundry room, VC.
Upstairs, 1 bedroom with 2 beds, 1 bedroom with 3 beds, 1 bedroom with double bed. 2 bathrooms with VC, library. On one level: 1 double bedroom + bathroom. Private closed garage + 1 outdoor parking space.
Complete baby equipment (bed, bath, high chair, crockery). All household linen is provided, we accept pets and holiday vouchers. Internet access free wifi TV / DVD.
The tenants feel at home, and it is they who say so! Trinkets, books, board games, paintings and other decorative objects enliven the house and give it a special charm. In the very well-equipped open kitchen open to the dining room, everything is close at hand. Nothing is missing! In the living room, in front of the large fireplace, it's coffee or aperitif with the TV on or off.
You will have the choice between 3 places to eat: in the dining room, in the veranda equipped with its integrated barbecue, or on the terrace, these 3 places each having their table and chairs!
And long live the mosquito nets on all the windows!
Silence reigns in all seasons. In the wooded environment, walks or bike rides through multiple paths to discover beautiful nature, wild animals, blackberries and mushrooms to pick up, flowers along the paths, happy birds! Equipped with economical heating (heat pump), the house is cool in summer thanks to its thick walls, air conditioning if you want.

Beautiful relaxing cottage

If your aim is to get away from it all, then you'll struggle to do better than this. Great open layout inside the cottage, with a secluded patio and large, well maintained garden outside... perfect for spending the evening relaxing outside with a BBQ, drinking the local red and watching the bees and moths get into the lavender! Our one-year-old loved watching the lizards scuttling up the walls, too! Local amenities aren't much - a local boulangerie would have been the icing on the cake - but there is plenty just a short drive (15mins) away, and with Bergerac itself so close, La Grange really is a great base of operations for seeing one of the worlds great locales, the Dorgdogne. In short... recommended!

La Grange de Pyraine

Nous avons séjourné à La grange de Pyraine avec un groupe de 7 personnes. La maison de vacances est certainement assez spacieuse et dispose de suffisamment de salles de bains. La piscine et le jardin sont très grands et charmants. La maison est très belle d'apparence mais nécessite quelques petits travaux de rafraîchissement pour lui redonner tout son éclat. La maison est très isolée dans un quartier très calme. Pour découvrir les environs, vous aurez certainement besoin d'une voiture, mais il y a de nombreux beaux endroits à découvrir dans le Périgord. Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances. Un petit conseil pour les prochains voyageurs : n'oubliez pas d'apporter du spray anti-moustiques car les moustiques apprécient également cette région.

Landhaus in wunderbarer Lage

Wer ein schönes altes Landhaus sucht, am Ende einer Sackgasse, quasi ohne Verkehr, mit einem blumigen Garten und einem wirklich super Pool von 5x11 m und 1.90 Tiefe! der wird hier fündig. Im nahen Bergerac gibt es zauberhafte Restaurants, Eisdielen und Crêpes, einen schönen Markt und Produkte direkt von den Erzeugern. Man hatte noch vieles mehr unternehmen können. Wir hatten so eine traumhafte Woche.

Petit coin de verdure... zen...

Very tranquil, enjoying the garden and pool, and BBQs in splendid isolation

The house has been renovated to a high standard while retaining internal charm with beams, stonework etc. Pool is pretty large and garden provides plenty shade and space for games. The location is very hidden away, and while a car is essential to get even a croissant, local roads provide plenty of options for morning runs. Nearby we found excellent zipwires, canoeing, restaurants (Bergerac, Mussidan) and markets (esp Perigeux).

Beste, Het huis en het zwembad is zoals op de foto's met een gezellige ietwat ouder interieur. Wij zijn hier ongeveer 11dagen geweest met 2 personen en onze minni Jack en hebben van het weer kunnen genieten alsook van de bezienswaardigheden in de buurt.Spijtig dat het zwembad niet proper was bij onze aankomst maar s'anderdaags hebben ze dit wel komen doen.De kamers waren ruim alsook de living en de eetplaats alsook de keuken en badkamers,alleen vonden wij het er zeer stoffig en niet zo netjes maar misschien zijn wij daar wat meer op gesteld. Algemeen leuk , maar tijd voor opfrissing misschien. Mvg Herman en Patricia uit Belgié PS:Misschien de huurders verwittigen als de tuinman komt rond 8u s'morgens, dit was wel even schrikken.

Des vacances super-agréables dans une maison chaleureuse

L’accueil était très chaleureux, la maison bien rangée et bien équipée. Les propriétaires sont sympas et le jardin, comme la piscine impeccable. Seul petit «bémol, c’est que quelques voisines aiment faire la fête de temps en temps. Mais toute comme fait, faire les vacances à Issac, c’est vraiment à recommander ! À revenir…

Bucolic charm

La Grange de Pyraine offre toutes les commodités modernes dans un cadre rustique enchanteur. Une maison pleine de charme et de confort avec une cheminée pour réchauffer nos soirées, un grand jardin où lire sous les arbres et entendre les oiseaux, une piscine bien sécurisée que nous n'avons malheureusement pas pu utiliser vu la température plutôt froide. Une voiture est absolument nécessaire car les boulangeries et épiceries ne sont pas disponibles à Issac mais plutôt à Mussidan. Par contre, le restaurant l'Imprévu à Issac est excellent et seulement cinq minutes en voiture de La Grange. Catherine est une propriétaire très gentille et toujours prête à nous aider si le besoin se fait sentir. Nous avons été très heureux d'y vivre pour deux semaines, d'explorer les environs en plus de savourer les spécialités régionales, sans oublier les merveilleux vins de Bergerac et Monbazillac! Une maison pleine de charme

Nous avons passé une belle semaine au calme dans le magnifique jardin de la propriété. La piscine est agréable et bien sécurisée avec sa discrète clôture. Tout est fait pour se sentir très rapidement chez soi : l'accueil de la propriétaire, très disponible, les fleurs sur la terrasse, tout l'équipement de la maison. Cerise sur le gâteau : la région est magnifique. Tout cela fait que l'heure du départ arrive toujours trop vite lorsqu'il faut quitter "La Grange".

We had the best family holiday in this very rural quiet setting. Everything you need is available.

We loved this quaint rural house. Ideal for the five of us and our dog. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog. The pool was clean and well maintained and being able to eat out on the terrace was just wonderful. We loved the character of the house. Very rural French and though elements were a bit dated satisfied our needs. Catherinne was a love host and left us to our own devices. We visited Bergerac and Perigeux. Had an exceptional lunch at L'Imperfait and wonderful dinner at Le Tour Des Vents. Be prepared to travel a little as the situation is remote but the benefits of delicious peace and quiet were worth it. We also went kayaking at Mussidan and we did some running. Just a great holiday for all the family. Gran at 85, 12 and 22 year olds and the dog all had the best time.

A fabulous property for a truly relaxing holiday!

Catherine welcomed us with a tour of the house which was fully equipped which made it very easy just to get some food and then need nothing else for the duration of our stay! The house is well laid out with plenty of seating in both the lounge and dining areas. VERY well equipped kitchen! Outside has a large fully enclosed garden which our dog loved! Lots of room for games of badminton, football, boules etc. Pool area was perfect, shady spots as well as plenty of sun all day. BBQ can be held any day as it is housed in its own room with dining area which was unusual. We visited Bergerac a few times for evening meals which is within easy reach and Mussidan for the food shopping which is just 10 mins away by car. Perfect area for running (as long as you don't mind hills) as the roads are very quiet. We will definitely be returning, thank you Catherine for your hospitality.

Heimat im Grünen mit Luxusfaktor

Das Ferienhaus lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend und geht weit über das bei Ferienwohnungen übliche hinaus. Das Haus selbst ist ein Traum: groß, offen, gepflegt und sehr stimmig eingerichtet. Und der großzügige Garten mit dem schönen alten Baumbestand lädt zum Verweilen ein - ob im Schatten oder in der Sonne: für alle Geschmäcker ist was dabei. Der Pool und sein Außenbereich ist sauber und groß genug für alle. Für Ruhesuchende unschlagbar ist die Lage in einem kleinen Weiler mitten in der Natur. Durch den großzügigen Zuschnitt des Grundstückes kriegt man von den Nachbarn quasi nichts mit und so hört man meistens nichts als die Vögel im Garten und den lauen Wind in den Bäumen. Trotzdem sind mit dem Auto Läden, Freizeitmöglichkeiten und Ausflugsziele schnell zu erreichen. Unser Tipp: Reichlich einkaufen ( der Kühlschrank und die Kühltruhe sind groß genug) und dann Auto in die Garage schließen und einfach da bleiben. Die Vermietersind ausgesprochen nett und kümmern sich um alle Fragen, die man hat. Wir können das Haus vorbehaltlos empfehlen.

Douceur de vivre

La jolie maison du hameau ! Vous reviendrez enchantés de votre escale au Pyraine . Au delà de la maison qui est très agréable , le calme qui règne dans ce hameau et les chants des oiseaux vous invitent à l'imaginaire des contes de notre enfance . La Douceur de vivre voici une qualification qui convient merveilleusement bien à cette si jolie maison . Autant vous dire que c'est le cœur serré que nous avons quitté ce petit écrin de paradis et cette région de France si attachante . Nous reviendrons . Elisabeth et Phil

Beautiful house in lovely garden

La Grange de Pyraine was a beautifully restored house using much of the ancient wood from the original barn. Lovely garden and good sized pool. Very comfortable for five adults and two children including a baby, for whom high chair and cot were provided. The house was very well provided with all necessities especially in the kitchen and good Wi Fi. The location is isolated, in lovely wooded countryside and about 2 miles from the village of Issac where there is an small epicerie and restaurant. Any other requirements need a 8 mile trip to the nearest supermarket. The only downside was the weather, a very bad week in France unfortunately. We also felt that the house should have been much better signposted. The instructions on line were incorrect should have been turn left at the crossroads, and also that the sign Pyraine might in some places say Piraine, same place but!! The owner was most hospitable and friendly and the property had been maintained to a high standard. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it to other families but maybe they could amend the weather!!

Le gîte idéal pour des vacances en famille !

Située au calme et très bien équipée, cette grange entièrement restaurée nous a fourni le cadre idéal pour nos vacances de fin d'année en famille. Très bon accueil des propriétaires. Mention particulière pour les 2 poêles à bois et la cheminée ainsi que pour les grands canapés. Ambiance de Noël garantie ! A recommander.

Maison très agréable

Nous avons passé en famille une semaine à la Grange de Pirayne entre Noël et le jour de l'an.La maison est chaleureuse, meublée avec goût et très bien équipée. Elle se situe dans un endroit charmant entre collines et forêts. Nous recommandons vivement cette location.

Belle propriété aménagée avec beaucoup de goût agrémentée d'un jardin bien entretenu et d'une grande piscine. Un lieu où l'on a plaisir à vivre et à se ressourcer. Cette maison pleine de charme est située dans un environnement naturel de qualité au cœur du Périgord pourpre à proximité des lieux à visiter célèbres pour leur richesse patrimoniale. Bref je recommande cette location sans hésiter.

Accueil chaleureux, propriétaires très attentifs. La maison est spacieuse, pleine de charme, très fonctionnelle ou rien ne manque. L'endroit est vraiment au calme, donc tout contribue à passer de bonnes vacances, nos enfants de 9 à 19 ans ont adoré.
