Genoten.

Large remote house situated on a working vineyard
To be accurate, there are a least three properties on this site, and the large house we stayed in can be subdivided. We rented the large house of seven bedrooms. Overall we had a very pleasant stay. You are on a working vineyard and the host Jean-Louis produces excellent wine. There were some slight issues during our stay that in the main were resolved by Jean-Louis on the day. However it is clear that his 'full time' job is the vineyard and I think management of the house suffers as a result. I think it would benefit from extra cleaners on changeover day and an ongoing programme of maintenance undertaken by a dedicated handyman. The pool area is a case in point. The pool itself was lovely, but the decking area around it was worn with some protruding screw heads and coach bolts that would easily catch your toes. The ones we pointed out were fixed but further work will be needed shortly. The pictures give a good perspective of the size of the place, but they appear quite old. This is a nice house, situated in beautiful countryside, it just needs a little more effort put into it to elevate it into an amazing place to stay.

Family Holiday
We had a fantastic holiday at Borde Longue. The property works really well for a large family group although the shared upstairs space was not really used as we were outside most of the time. Our host was attentive despite having a lot to do around the vineyard. The wine tasting we were invited to was informative and a lot of fun. The pool and pool area was a delight and kept the children occupied during what was one of the hottest weeks of the summer. The bedrooms on one side were very hot and care had to be taken to keep them comfortable - the additional fans that were provided were a necessity. Plenty other things to do on the property and in the vineyard including walks and runs. The local area also offered trips and visits which went down well with both adults and children. Overall and excellent family holiday!

Excellent Family Holiday at Gites Bordelongue
We had a fantastic week here, two families, 9 people. Plenty of space and room for the kids to play and an amazing pool area. House is huge and set in beautiful surroundings with outstanding views. Jean-Louis was a great host, making sure we had what we wanted ad also inviting us for a wine tasting on one evening. He's a superb wine maker! Would recommend Gites Bordelongue for a large group.

magnifique gite, magnifique vue.
