My friends and I loved this house! The location is great, close to town and the beach. We really loved hanging out on the patio and the house has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation. I will definitely recommend it to friends and family.
Spent time in every corner of this home. Porch, kitchen and patio were great gathering places in this well kept home.
Thank you, Scottie, hope you will let us return.
We had the best stay. Everything about the house was perfect- the amazing kitchen, the screened in porch, the outdoor area and the location was everything we could have asked for. The house was incredibly clean and felt so homey not like other beach rentals. Scottie and Joe were so helpful with recommendations for music and food and were also very responsive with any questions we had.
This property is not only beautiful inside and out, the location is perfect. Walking distance from the beach and the town center, you are also in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. The outdoor shower was bliss and so was the screened off porch. The host Scottie was a breeze to rent from and having beach tags made the stay even more seamless. We can’t wait to rent this home again next year!
We loved our visit here -- the house was very clean and well kept, gorgeous kitchen with everything you'd need. A lovely breeze in the upstairs bedroom. We loved eating and playing cards on the screened in patio every night, and loved the outdoor shower. This is very convenient, in a quiet residential area but a very short 5-7 minute walk (basically 3 blocks) from the beach and beachfront shops, mini-golf, etc. in one direction and to the Washington Mall shopping area in the other. We walked to Bagel Time Cafe or Madison's Bakery every morning and it was easy for one parent to pop back to the house to grab sandwiches or snacks so we could stay on the beach longer. 5 beach tags were included and we were glad to be able to use the beach chairs ands bikes. Joe and Scottie were wonderful, and very responsive, even answering the phone at 1AM when the smoke alarm went off randomly! (They sent someone to check the system the very next day and it never happened again.) I would have wished linens were included, but, Linen Ladies were great and easy to sign up with, so it worked out fine. We very much enjoyed our stay in Cape May and this home was very comfortable and perfect for our family of five.

Liked: Cleanliness, communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
Very clean house but only one full bathroom and not suitable for 8
I loved how clean this house was and the outdoor space was fantastic! The cabana shower was perfect for showering and rinsing my three young girls after the beach with ample room and privacy! We also enjoyed dining on the patio! It was shady and cool most of the day and just lovely. The downfalls of this property are only one full bathroom for 8 guests- that was unexpected because the listing says 2 bathrooms and our multi generational family had no privacy with that single bathroom. The bedrooms are also on top of one another and again there was no privacy or ability to keep noise to a minimum to accommodate everyone’s sleeping and waking patterns. You heard everything because everyone was right there. I think this house is extremely expensive for what it offered our family. Some groups may find it perfect for their needs but if you want some level of space and privacy - this house doesn’t offer that well.
The house is absolutely beautiful and great for a large family. The location, just blocks from the beach and Washington Street is absolutely perfect and we would definitely stay here again. the owner met us upon check-in to give us an overview of the place and both check-in and check-out were very easy.
Great property for the experience of staying in historic Cape May with easy access to everything (beach, restaurants and bars, paddle boarding, kayaking, wave running, and much more etc.). The family loved the house.
House on Benton Street is perfect location for access to beach, restaurants and shopping! Our favorite spots in the home were the screened in porch on one side and outdoor patio on the other. Highly recommend!
The Skee Riegel house is a perfect Cape May getaway....minutes from the beach, perfect property with everything you would want from a luxury beach house. This house and the family that owns it are the real deal! Go for it!
This is an absolutely lovely home! A perfect place to stay in Cape May. Location is the best. The house is well appointed, very clean and it has everything. The owner is a delight to work with. We hope to continue renting!!!
The house was wonderful! Everything was exceptionally clean when we arrived and Scottie was a wonderful hostess. We loved the location that was close to the beach and Washington Square. We also loved being close to the Chalfonte which had live music and dining on the porch. My daughters raved about the outdoor shower that had a small area to change and great water pressure. Due to COVID-19, we cooked and had take out more than we usually would on vacation. The kitchen was modern and had everything we needed. We also had multiple locations to eat including the kitchen bar, the dining area, the screen porch and the patio. I would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a beach house for the week.
This was a perfect vacation right from the start. The landlord was so gracious and welcomed us right from the beginning. She had everything that you would need and was very open about letting us borrow things. The location to the beach and town is just perfect. We walked half a block and enjoyed live music every evening on the outdoor porch of the local hotel. I would recommend this house to everyone!
The house was beautiful and exceptionally close to the beach and restaurants and shopping. The attention to detail within the home was wonderful, very well cared for. And Scottie was an amazing hostess. I’d stay in again and recommend the home to anyone in a heartbeat.
Great stay with family in Cape May at a special house!
This house was a great place to stay for my family. We had 3 couples and a 3 year old. The location is ideal: short walk to beach and shops/food. They have both an indoor and outdoor showers which was helpful with all the people we had. They even had a ton of toys in the garage for the kiddo to play with including sandcastle gear. The house has a great history in it that is preserved throughout: golf history, stained glass, wood floors, etc. The house is nicer than the pictures. The communication was great with the property manager and she replied to all our questions. She was very friendly at check in showing my parents around the property. The patio areas are great for hanging out. The AC units in each room is a bonus since everyone likes it a different temperature. The kitchen and dishes were really nice.
The only issue we had is that at this price point we'd expect sheets and towels to be included. Having to bring in 4 sets of sheets and 20 towels down and then wash them was a bit of extra effort. Additionally, at this price point you'd expect a keurig or nespresso machine. (The coffee machine at the house didn't work,) The owner seems receptive to feedback, so this is likely to change.

Amazing!
We rented the Skee Riegel House for 1 week and were absolutely blown away by how nice the home was. High end appointments, no details missed, beautiful from top to bottom. Scottie was a pleasure to work with and she promptly answered all of our questions, took care of the arrangements and was easy to reach throughout the process. The home itself is 3 blocks from the beach so you're in the sand in a matter of minutes, and only a few blocks from the Mall area. Absolutely perfect location. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again
