This is not your grandmother's cabin! Mountain View Treehouse is an upscale light and bright 2-bedroom/2-bath two-story home nestled in the treetops of Pine Cove. The home features vaulted ceilings with wood beams and clerestory windows in the living room, as well as a beautiful rock fireplace and unmatched panoramic views in every direction. The home offers the perfect balance of a rustic mountain setting with all of the comforts of a high-end luxury accommodation. Newly remodeled from top to bottom and furnished in a stylish yet comfortable cottage style, you will fall in love with the charm of our Idyllwild dream home.
Perfect for a romantic getaway or spending time with friends and family. The home features two well-appointed bedrooms and the master has its own sitting area, fireplace, flat-screen television and private deck with incredible views for morning coffee. The home has one and a half newly remodeled bathrooms with fluffy towels, body wash, shampoo and conditioner provided. There is also a laundry room with new high-end LG washer and dryer.
The two-story home located on a private road boasts three separate decks for relaxing and bird watching and a new high-end grill. There are two private parking spaces and the home sits on more than half an acre of explorable land. Pack a picnic and stroll down to your own private knoll for a game of horseshoes. Enjoy quiet and privacy all while only five minutes into town and all that Idyllwild has to offer. Additionally, the wonderful Pine Cove Market is a five-minute walk and boasts a great selection of wine, beer, staples and fishing supplies.
The home features complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi, two flat screen televisions with Roku streaming devices where you can access all streaming services. We provide YouTube tv for basic and cable channels. We provide a blue ray disk player (with DVD library). The newly remodeled kitchen has stainless steel appliances (refrigerator, stove, compact Bosch dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, blender and toaster) and is stocked with everything that you need to prepare a gourmet meal.

Well maintain property in the middle of neighborhood yet feels like in the wilderness. Very peaceful. Very clean. I love the animities the most. The kitchen is equpped with good quality pans and pots. Washer and dryer are also in a very good quality.

This our 2nd time renting this property and we loved every moment of it. Rented the 1st week of Nov, stayed for 3 days 2 nights. Excellent views, super close to town, house is VERY clean and the host is very responsive and accommodating. Its perfect for a couple or 2 couples. Kitchen is big enough to prepare nearly any meal, living room is very comfortable, fast internet and easy to use wood fireplace. We are definitely coming back!

We have stayed at many houses in Idyllwild, and this one is hands down our favorite. Very comfortable, well appointed, excellent kitchen, and the views are fantastic. Hope to be back soon!

Wonderful experience
This property was perfect for a getaway in the mountains. Lots of room and outdoor space, while being extremely clean and cozy. The check-in process couldn't have been easier and instructions were laid out very clearly. The host was extremely kind and responded quickly. Overall it was a 10/10 experience and I would recommend this property to anyone looking for a place to stay in Idyllwild.

Amazing property! Equipped with lots of family board games. Super friendly neighbors on the street. The kids said this was their favorite trip we have ever taken. We got lucky with lots of snow and there was plenty of room around the property to play. Thanks Mark!

We enjoyed our 3 day stay after Christmas in this cozy cabin. Bed in Master bedroom is very comfortable, and love the fire-place in the room, adds a little special touch. Kitchen is clean and very well stocked with everything we needed during our stay. The view is beautiful and we loved dining out on the deck watching the various birds land on ledge and nature all around us. thanks again! hoping to come back again, but wished it could accommodate more than 4 adults for extended family!

The 5 stars in the reviews are accurate. Unlike the 4 and 5 stars one sees in other reviews, as with Amazon, there is nothing inflated about the high marks you see with this property. Professionally managed, well equipped, quiet property. Parking is a bit tight, but the outstanding views more than compensate for that small issue. In short, certainly a property one will want to return to.

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeklong stay at this property. Everything about the property was wonderful. It was exactly as it was pictured on VRBO. Perfect size. Super clean. Amazing views. Very quite and peaceful sitting outside on the deck listening to the wind thru the trees and all the different bird sounds. The beds were comfortable. Kitchen fully stocked. Had a ton of fun making fires each day with my son. Would highly recommend -- and we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

Spectacular view
The view alone made the trip worth it. We had all of our meals on the deck. The best part was to be able to enjoy the nature without having to give up any of the material comforts like a good kitchen, soft beds and good restrooms. The only suggestion from my end would be bring your own coffee pods because we couldn’t find the coffee carafe for the filter coffee and no pods for the Keurig. Which was fine for me because I am a tea person myself.

Thanksgiving in the woods
This is our second time staying at this beautiful home in the Idyllwild area. It's always clean, quiet and the view into the forest from the balcony can't be beat. We are big into birding and love to watch the birds visiting the balcony feeder - even added a new bird to our life list during this visit! First time seeing a Brown Creeper in the wild! Mark is a terrific host - very communicative and easy to work with. We look forward to visiting again!

Fantastic place and location
Exactly as advertised. Great location. Beautiful Cabin. I was looking for quiet, peaceful get away, and i got it here. The cabin was stocked with everything i needed, had an amazing lookout onto the trees and valley, extremely quiet, and tranquil. Great communication with the host leading up to the stay. I fell in love with the charming community of Idyllwild after my very first visit. After searching for the perfect property for over three years, I knew that this place was special from the minute I walked in the door. It was like nothing I had seen before- light and bright with windows boasting incredible views everywhere. With three separate decks, soaring wood ceilings, a flawless floor plan and charm to spare, I can truly say that this fully remodeled stunner is my dream mountain getaway. The home sits on a double lot totaling almost three-quarters of an acre of prime mountain land. I love exploring the property and collecting pine cones and manzanita branches. When you are at this property, you truly feel that you have gotten away from it all. Particularly when you come home from a fabulous meal at night and stand on the deck taking in the most incredible view of the stars I have ever seen. What can I say, the place really is magic.

What makes this property unique

Because this home sits on a mountainside nestled on a private road, it boasts incredible views and a peaceful environment. Sitting on the deck watching the birds come to feed at the birdhouse is one of my favorite pastimes. I even provide a bird watching book and binoculars so that you can identify your new friends. Because of the "windows everywhere" concept of this house, even on a cold day while nestled in front of the fire, you feel like you are outside in the middle of nature.
This home is truly a luxury accommodation. High thread count sheets, soft fluffy towels and comfortable pillows all make for a relaxing stay. Because cooking is a passion of mine, the home is stocked with high quality pots and pans, beautiful dishes and glassware and every kitchen utensil you might need to cook a gourmet meal. The home also has a brand new chef's quality infrared grill.
For those snow-filled wintry days, the home has a beautiful wood burning fireplace/stove and lots of items to entertain you - smart flat screen television, Blu-ray disk player, dvd's, board games and a large book collection.
With all that it has to offer, this home truly is the perfect mountain getaway.
