About this property

A charming house with a pool.

It is near to Dijon, set right in the heart of a town of 400 people that is very peaceful. In a 2500-sq.m fenced plot with trees you can find our lovely renovated 19th century house that we have been renting for 10 years. The house is dressed in imperial glory with stone walls, tiled floors, many fireplaces, comfortable brand-new bathrooms, and a fully equipped kitchen.
The 10 x 5 m swimming pool (with Roman staircase) is open for 15th April to 15th September inclusive. It is heated and has a protective cover. The pool house offers a hot water shower and a fridge.
Downstairs, there is a hall, a 36-sq.m living room, a dining room, a double Bedroom, a studio with a double bed, a large kitchen (each room has its own fireplace), bathroom, and an independent WC. The first floor features a double bedroom, 3 bedrooms with twin beds, 2 bathrooms, and 2 separate WCs.
The rate includes bedding, linen, final cleaning, and wood for the fireplaces.
There is broadband Internet with Wi-Fi.
There is sufficient cultery and crockery to entertain 20 people.

Enchanting country house in a beautiful region
We stayed with our family with three young children for two weeks in this country house, which immediately charmed us with its authentic beauty. The rooms are large and well furnished, the house immediately welcomes any visitor as if it's home. Our meeting with owner Denis was very pleasant, and he immediately solved the small problem with the heating of the pool. The kitchen is at the back of the house, and although everything is available, we think cooking there is not quite handy if you're with a large group. But for us this place was like a second home. We ate from the fig, plum and apple trees, enjoyed the peace and beauty of the cote d'or region, and the children swam and swinged as if their lives depended on it. A charming, valuable vacation spot.

Ein Haus ein Schloss
Bei diesem Haus sind wir in einem Schloss im Park angekommen. Hohe Räume, hell und großzügig. Große Schlafräume mit guten Matratzen. Die Räume sind stilvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt. Ich kann das Haus nur weiterempfehlen. Wir waren mit 8 erwachsenen Personen dort. Alle haben so empfunden und haben die Großzügigkeit des Hauses und des Anwesens genossen. Hinter dem großen schmiedeeisernen Tor lag eine eigene Welt. Ruhig und abgeschieden, entspannt und ungestört.

Summer holiday
We had a two week stay during August. The excellent weather meant we made full use of the lovely pool and gardens. If you are looking for sleek, shark and modern, this isn’t the place for you. However if you are looking for a traditional French house full of charm and history this is the place. A large, characterful house providing ample accommodation (we were a group of 7). The host was accommodating and welcoming and we felt looked after during our stay.

Family holiday to North Burgundy
We had a wonderful week’s trip. The house is charming and very well appointed. Set in very private and pretty grounds with a fabulous swimming pool. The bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and the house stayed very cool despite the very hot weather. Although the village is very quiet the nearby town of Is-sur-tille has many of the essential amenities including at least two excellent boulangeries. Dijon is also a very short car journey away. Denis was a very good host, greeting us on arrival and also prompt in answering any questions prior to the trip. I would thoroughly recommend this property for a relaxing holiday.

Maison type à celle "d'une famille formidable en vacances". Tout est là pour un séjour agréable.
Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable!🤗 La maison est super adaptée pour les grandes familles ou groupe. Le propriétaire et la dame qui s'occupe de la maison sont adorables et accueillants. 🤗 La région est superbe avec beaucoup d'activités ou de visites à faire. Le cadre de la maison est magnifique et sécurisé avec un portail. Grand domaine avec des espaces variés. C'est la maison idéale pour créer des souvenirs de vacances avec les enfants. Il y a beaucoup d'espace . Elle a plein de charme. A recommander. Merci pour tout !

nous avons passé un week end super agréable dans cette très jolie maison : celle-ci a un charme fou et dégage une chaleureuse atmosphère envoutante. tout s'est bien passé et malgré les prémices de l'automne nous avons bien profité du jardin, du barbecue, des jeux pour les enfants et bien sur de la piscine chauffée. encore merci à Monsieur Naillot le gardien, pour sa gentillesse et sa disponibilité et a Monsieur Cuvillier pour nous avoir permis de profiter de cette grande et jolie demeure afin de fêter l'anniversaire de mon mari en famille et de garder de beaux souvenirs en mémoire.

Incroyable séjour dans une magnifique maison
Nous avons passé le week-end de l'Ascension à Chaignay pour fêter les 2 ans de notre fille avec une grande partie de la famille (4 générations). Notre séjour nous a enchanté, petits, jeunes et moins jeunes. La maison correspond en tous points à la description. Le parc est idyllique, avec ses grands arbres et ses belles fleurs, la piscine chauffée très agréable (plus chaude que l'air à cette saison) et la maison spacieuse et fonctionnelle. Le charme de la demeure a grandement contribué à rendre notre séjour inoubliable! Ne vous attendez pas à un intérieur ultra moderne, c'est l'histoire de la maison qui séduit. Cependant, l'électroménager est en bon état (souvent même neuf) et le reste de l'équipement tout à fait adéquat. Un petit bémol peut-être pour la literie d'une des chambres qui pourrait être renouvelée. La maison est propre et le parc bien entretenu. Nous avons eu d'excellents contacts avec le propriétaire, très avenant, et le concierge. Nous avons fait du vélo dans les environs de Chaignay, nous sommes promenés à Is-sur-Tille et Dijon, mais avons principalement profité de la maison et de ses nombreux avantages. Cette location est à recommander chaudement si vous êtes à la recherche d'une destination spéciale et pleine de charme à partager en famille ou entre amis!

La maison et le jardin sont très agréables, calme et le village charmant. Petit bémol, comme annoncé la piscine n'est pas chauffée, le débit internet n'est pas du haut débit, la literie mérite d'être revue et il aurait été sympa d'avoir une télé plus grande. Conclusion: les prestations ne sont pas à la hauteur du loyer, ou le montant de la location est supérieur aux prestations proposées.

"I stayed in this property at Chaignay with my international family immediately following my marriage to a French man and it was brilliant. It is an enormous house which makes it ideal for adults and children. The rooms are great-we stayed in the master bedroom with an enormous ensuite (together combined they are probably the size of our entire apartment in Paris). The kitchen was very well equipped so we ate at home every night and had barbeques. There is plenty of entertainment for kids-a great heated pool which provided hours of amusement and board games which were played in the evening.There is also a very helpful guardian who will probably greet you if you stay. If there are any problems he is on hand to assist as he lives in the village. All and all a great stay and I can highly recommend it-we will probably return and next time without children so we can take advantage of all the fabulous Burgundy vineyards and degustations!!!"

"In diesem älteren Hauskann mann beruhigt mit seinem Kinder leben. Da es ein Familienferienhaus ist, können die Kinder spielen ohne ständig überwacht zu werden (Spielzeug und Bücher sind vorhanden). Der Garten ist ein Paradies. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten : Kinderhäuschen, Schwimmbad und einen kleinen Spielplatz, wo die Kinder sich bald wie zu Hause füllen."

"Très belle maison avec beaucoup de charme.Elle a vraiment su conserver son âme au fil des ans .L'accueil est excellent . Seule petite remarque:Le prix très élevé aurait mérité un magnetoscope et une télé qui marche un peu mieux , mais c'est un problème secondaire !"
