A great holiday

Trois semaines merveilleuses

Un grand merci à Valérie et Jean-Noël pour leur accueil, leur totale disponibilité ainsi que leur extrême gentillesse. Nous avons passé trois semaines merveilleuses en famille au gîte La Borie, la maison a une vraie âme, le cadre est idyllique et idéalement située dans une région où les visites sont très très nombreuses. Nous nous souviendrons longtemps de tous les habitants du gîte et serons éternellement reconnaissant pour la fin heureuse trouvée à la fugue de notre chatte au moment de quitter La Borie. J’espère vous revoir pour de prochaines vacances.

Merveilleux séjour en Dordogne

Le lieu est magique, un vrai paradis pour déconnecter, tout est réuni : la région superbe, le calme et le charme du lieu, les animaux qui ont égayé nos journées. Valérie et Jean-Noël sont des hôtes adorables et charmants, toujours disponibles pour n'importe quelle de nos demandes : visites, artisans, restaurants, recettes... Ne passez pas à côté de La Borie !

La Borie, La Grubby

We did not realise we would be sharing the Gite with so many cobwebs, spiders and flying insects. The pool was not maintained during our stay resulting in many many dead flying bugs etc. We left the Gite cleaner than when we arrived only to receive a snotty email from the owner saying we had not mopped the floors to which we pointed out no mop was provided. Also the owner said we had not cleaned the windows which had not been cleaned for yonks. We were asked why we had not informed them of the light bulb not working? Actually there were two not working when we arrived.

Un petit paradis

Wir haben als Familie 2 wunderbare und sehr erholsame Wochen in dem herrlichen Anwesen "La Borie" verbracht. Die historischen Gebäude sind gut instand gesetzt, liebevoll eingerichtet und haben innen und außen ganz viel Charme. Der Garten ist parkartig und es findet sich auch bei Hitze stets ein schattiges Plätzchen unter einem der großen Bäume. Der Pool ist super, groß und sauber. Valérie und Jean-Noel sind perfekte Gastgeber: herzlich, stets ansprechbar und hilfsbereit und trotzdem zurückhaltend!!! Zur aktiven Betätigung gibt es neben dem Pool die Möglichkeit Tischtennis oder Boule zu spielen und für Kinder steht auch noch ein Trampolin zur Verfügung. Viel Freude haben uns auch die Tiere von La Borie bereitet: 4 Esel, ein Pferd, 2 freilaufende Hühner, eine Taube und ganz besonders die 3 Laufenten als Neuankömmlinge! In Limeyrat steht für das Frühstück am Morgen eine kleine Bäckerei zur Verfügung. Von La Borie aus kann mann gut Ausflüge zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten an der Vezère oder nach Perigeux unternehmen, genauso gut kann man aber auch ganze Tage herrlich in La Borie verbringen! Ganz herzlichen Dank an Valerie und Jean-Noel! Gern kommen wir wieder!

Notre séjour à La Borie était inoubliable. Première fois que nous voyagions avec un bébé, première fois dans le mystérieux Périgord, et la toute première fois que nous avions réservé le même logement pendant deux semaines consécutives. Donc ça devait être bien, sinon ça pourrait être des vacances frustrantes. Nous sommes donc allés chercher un endroit où séjourner avec de bonnes critiques. Eh bien, dire que La Borie reçoit de bonnes critiques est un euphémisme. Alors on a voulu savoir si ça existe : la perfection. Cinq étoiles de tous les invités ? Cela vaut la peine d'essayer. Ce qui semble? La Borie vaut bien chaque critique positif. De l'accueil au départ et tout le reste… nous n'avons eu aucun problème. Tout ce dont vous avez besoin est là, et plus encore. Le cadre est enchanteur, la propriété elle-même est pleine de caractère, tout comme ses propriétaires. Et les animaux, bien sûr. La Borie est la base idéale pour explorer la belle région. Nous avons été surpris chaque jour. A la fois à cause des nombreux villages et villes où vous vous imaginez au Moyen Âge, et à cause de La Borie elle-même : vous ne vous ennuierez pas facilement ici. Valérie et Jean Noël ont tout fait pour que vous puissiez partir, mais que vous n'ayez pas à partir. Piscine, pétanque, ping-pong, ... et surtout : beaucoup de repos. Tout est fourni. Merci LaBorie.

Wunderbarer Ort

Wir haben 1 Woche an diesem wunderbaren Ort verbracht. Das Ferienhaus liegt sehr ruhig, ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Der große Garten mit Pool verspricht Erholung pur. Valerie ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns in La Borie sehr wohl gefühlt.

Magnifique séjour !!

Ce gite est superbe, décoré avec goût et très bien équipé. Le cadre extérieur l’est tout autant : le jardin et ses animaux, la piscine, table de ping-pong, trampoline, petit terrain de pétanque … Nous avons apprécié d’alterner les visites des sites et villages environnants avec des journées au gîte pour tout simplement profiter du décor extérieur et de tout ce qu’il a à offrir. Nous aurons passé avec nos 2 filles de très belles vacances à la Borie. Le mot de la fin, cette petite pépite est tenue par des hôtes 5 étoiles, bienveillants et discrets. Un grand merci à Valérie, Jean-Noël et Ruben avec qui nous auront partagé de bons moments et de belles discussions… Anne, Julien, Jade et Ambre

idyllisch ruhige Lage mit Pool

Wir haben als Familie (4 Erwachsene, 1 Kind, 11 Jahre) drei sehr entspannte und erholsame Wochen genießen können. Das Haus liegt sehr ruhig und abgelegen, das Grundstück ist sehr groß und gepflegt, die vielen Tiere auf dem Hof (Hühner, Esel, Pferde und viele Singvögel) sind perfekt für Kinder geeignet. Der Pool ist sauber und warm (beheizt, ca. 26 Grad) und die Vermieter (Valerie und Jean Noel) sind sehr freundlich, Hilfsbereit und drängen sich dennoch nie auf. Extra für uns und nun auch für alle folgenden Gäste, haben Sie sogar kurzfristig eine Boule-Bahn aus Sand angelegt. Freizeitaktivitäten: Wandern, Fahrradfahren (Rennrad, Gravel, Mountenbike), Kanufahren, Höhlenbesichtigungen, auf Märkten einkaufen (finden täglich an verschiedenen Orten statt) und Städte besuchen bietet sich an. Unser Highlight waren die täglichen Besuche der beiden Hofhühner (Dessen Eier übrigens vorzüglich schmecken) die uns beim Frühstück und Abendessen begleitet haben. Wir würden das Ferienhaus jederzeit weiterempfehlen.

Un sans faute ! Un pur bonheur !

Une bulle de douceur et de bien être dans cette jolie location, Région splendide ! Chevaux, ânes, poules, trampoline, piscine (un vrai plus nos filles ont adoré !) et le tout dans un calme qui nous plonge dans une grande sérénité ! Propriétaires au top ! Nous avons passé des vacances inoubliables dans la région du Périgord. Le gîte est situé juste en dehors de Limeyrat, la boulangerie est à environ 1km. A moins d’une heure du gîte vous trouverez tous les villages, villes, randonnées et activités à voir et à faire. Valérie est super accueillante et toujours prête à donner des conseils et de l’aide. C’est un environnement chaleureux et tranquille. Les poules, ânes et chevaux sont un grand plus. Tout comme tous les fruits frais du domaine. Je conseille vivement un séjour chez Valérie à tout ceux qui veulent profiter au maximum de la région et d’un gîte confortable avec tous les facilités. Ah oui, la piscine est top! Un tout grand merci pour ce séjour magique!

A great stay in the French countryside

We had a wonderful stay at La Borie. Valerie is a great host, leaving us to get on with it, but always available and very friendly and helpful if we needed any help or advice. The children enjoyed saying hello to the donkeys and the heated pool was lovely. We really enjoyed our stay and would love to have stayed longer if we could.

Séjour inoubliable

Dans un cadre verdoyant, des bâtiments séculaires bien restaurés, une piscine très agréable et fort appréciée lors d’un épisode caniculaire, nous avons passé de très belles vacances. L’équipement est complet et l’ensemble est spacieux et bien agencé. Wir hben im Juni 1 Woche in dem wunderschönen Haus von Valerie verbracht. Das Anwesen incl. Pool und Garten sind grandios. Die Tiere sind gerade für Kinder toll. Valerie ist sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Die Ausstattung der Wohnung ist tadellos. Ein Ort zum Wohlfühlen und Enstspannen !

Haus im " Paradies" mit allem nötigen Komfort

Der ehemalige Bauernhof liegt in einer ruhigen für das Perigord typischen Landschaft und bietet alles, was man für einen erholsamen Urlaub braucht. Der Pool bietet mit seine Grösse von ca. 12 x 6 m genügend Platz zu Schwimmen, das Grundstück erlaubt kleinere Spaziergänge. Spaziergänge in der Umgebung enden leider immer wieder auf geteerten schmalen Straßen ( was unser Hund irgendwann nicht mehr akzeptierte) .Die Vermieter sind sehr nett und freundlich, bei jeglichen Fragen hilfsbereit. Diese Location bietet sich gerade für Familien mit Kindern an, da auf dem Hof noch 4 Esel, 2 Pferde, 2 ( fast zahme) Hühner und Kaninchen leben. Ein wahrer Ort der Entspannung. Etwas nachteilig ist die Tatsache, dass alle Einkäufe mit dem Auto erfolgen müssen, der nächste Supermarkt ist ca. 10 km entfernt.

Excellent séjour de deux semaines, tant par le cadre que par l'accueil de Valérie.

Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le lieu à l'image de la région : belle demeure, beau, jardin et piscine agréable. Beaucoup de sites à visiter aux alentours de Limeyrat et dans toutes les directions (pas seulement au sud). L'endroit est aussi calme et reposant. Accueil très sympa. Contacts intéressants et bon conseils de Valérie. Sans oublier Léon , chevaux et ânes .

Lovely house in stunning rural setting.

A very well equipped house with lovely garden and amazing pool. Valėrie, the host, was warm and welcoming yet unintrusive. We had exclusive use of the pool and the table tennis table was a real bonus. Candles and colourful lights made evening meals outside special. Towels were not provided as standard, however, and expect to do a thorough clean at the end of your stay or pay a surchage. All in all though a wonderful holiday in a stunning area.
