This was our 9th family gathering at this property! Great location, great home, great property to walk around and explore. The openness of the kitchen, living and dining areas is spacious, and everyone has a place to hang out. The owner is always great to work with. I already have a reservation for our 10th gathering!
Can’t say enough great things about The Bousque house. It was the perfect location for our friends and family to celebrate graduation. Patricia the owner has the gift of southern hospitality and bent over backwards to help us get set up for the party. we so enjoyed the peaceful backyard pavilion and fire pit along with walks with wild flowers and house with everything you needed to host a large crowd. so thankful we chose this gem to spend the weekend at . we would highly recommend
This was our 8th family gathering at The Bosque, and it has become an annual tradition. Lovely setting. The house layout is great. The common space/gathering areas are perfect to have everyone together, and it is spacious. The grounds are nice with lots of space to walk, play games, hang out and visit. The owner is always great to work with. I have already booked out next stay!
You can not go wrong with this property. The pictures you see in the listing are exactly what you see when you get there. It's like a model home on the inside and out. 4 good size bedrooms with 3.5 bathrooms. The main attractions are the inside living room which is enormous and the even more enormous backyard. The backyard is clearly where most of the action happens and is perfect for large outdoor gatherings. Our only glitch was that the internet was down but was due to a recent storm-no fault of the owner. She was gracious and apologized but it was nice getting partially disconnected for the few days we were there. Overall a great place to visit and stay.
We rented The Bosque for a long weekend to host a "Texas Family Reception" for our daughter who married in LA last fall. It could not have been a better experience. They have everything you could possibly need to have a celebration from a few to 100 or more. The peaceful beauty of the property, the fully tiled back porch and pavilion, the firepit and games, and the little red fox that makes occasional appearances - they all combine to make a unique and wonderful central Texas experience. Exploring the 77 acres was fun, they even have solar powered lights down by the river. The house and furnishings are beautiful and comfortable, and our hostess was super sweet and very accommodating in every way. We could not be more pleased nor could I more highly recommend The Bosque. I certainly hope to return!
This was our seventh family gathering here. Great location for family coming from Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth and Waco.
The house is spacious for multiple activities at once. We cook a lot and the kitchen is easy to work in with the large island and two refrigerators.
The grounds are quiet with lots of trails to explore. The owners are always very responsive and accommodating. There are many reasons why we keep coming back here!
This was a beautiful home and the owner was more than accommodating. It was immaculately clean and very comfortable. There is nothing I would have changed.
Perfect location for family traveling to celebrate college graduation. Quiet, and secluded, excellent spacious patio area, perfect for families catching up with one another and enjoying the shaded tree canopy. The kitchen was stocked with all the essential cooking necessities. The two refrigerators were a huge benefit. The bedrooms upstairs were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. However, the basement was more suitable for children due to space and privacy. Overall, the property was ideal for our situation.
Close enough to Baylor for a family visit & getaway
Great property located on beautiful land with a feel of home but spread out enough for your family to enjoy one another yet have their own space to retreat. It has everything you need and more.
What a gem this property was beautiful. House was amazing. I drove part of the property and saw a lot of dead. So relaxing hanging out by the fire pit . Patricia, the host was absolutely amazing. She was very quick to answer any questions we had. Brought us fire wood, we spent some time visiting and just talking shop. I will definitely be back and I urge anyone looking for a beautiful place to relax to get online and book now. Thank you again Patricia, you made our stay very enjoyable.
The hosts went out of their way to decorate for Christmas. A large Christmas tree with numerous other decorations inside and out made this the ideal location for a family get together over the Christmas holiday.
This was our second stay here and we would definitely consider staying here again.
This is the perfect place for my extended family gathering. The property is beautiful, the home is spacious, and everything you need is there. We enjoyed walking around the property, touring on the Gator, and making s'mores over the firepit. Inside there is plenty of room/tables for games and jigsaw puzzles. The host is always very accomodating, very responsive and great to work with. I'll be back!
Patricia is a wonderful hostess. The house and grounds are beautiful and we’re perfect for our son’s rehearsal dinner.
While at the house, we had a family emergency. Patricia was by our side the entire time. She even checked on us after we got back home.
You will enout your stay at The Bosque!
One of the best places we have stayed recently. We all fell in love and will stay often from now on. Thanks to Patricia and her every effort to ensure our stay was great !
Great accommodations and amazing property. Home is very cozy and great for families. Enjoyed exploring the property in the John Deer Gator. Property Managers are great folks. We will be back again!
We were in Waco for the funeral of my mom, and our family was so thankful to find this home so we could have a place to gather and eat indoors or outdoors and spend time together remembering our mother. The owner was awesome, the place was incredible, and we can't wait to have an opportunity to go back!
This is a gorgeous property. Plenty of space, available items, beautiful location, and room to roam. We had hoped to have the dinner outside, but with the rain, moved inside, but was large enough to accommodate everyone, even if tighter. Had pop up awnings we used for outside mingling and everything you could imagine was available for use. Loved it!
The Bosque is a fantastic country getaway for families and friends. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. We have visited this property multiple times and will again!
The house was beautiful. It was the perfect amount of room for our group of 12. It was well equipped
It was the perfect amount of room for our group of 12. We loved that we didn't have to worry about noisy neighbors, or controlling our noise level for neighbors. VERY SECLUDED! Kitchen was well equipped. Plenty of linens, and bath towels. We discovered the river access hideaway in the far back of the property. However, the river was very low, ankle deep, but very muddy due to rain, so we missed out on the river fun due to Mother Nature. The property was driving distance to downtown Waco, and we enjoyed the walk around town. Plenty of shops, other river and lake accessible areas. Waco is really under estimated. We're already planning another trip to explore more. Thank you.

This property has been in our family since 1966. My parents built the house in 1974 and loved the woods and river for many years. We as a family spent many 4th of Julys on the Middle Bosque River camping and swimming. My father could be heard saying late on a summer afternoon, 'Let's go to 'the Bosque' when it was time to go cool off in the Middle Bosque River after a long hot day of work. That's how our name began. So share in the pleasure and fun with us and come for a visit at 'The Bosque'.
Why they chose this property
We bought the family land in 2014 and began a total remodel of the house and surrounding areas. It's been a lot of work but also a lot of fun and satisfaction.
What makes this property unique
A real family home to be used for weekends or vacation where you and your family can feel at home and enjoy your time at 'The Bosque'. You can walk in the woods, or to the river, fish and just enjoy the changing leaves as you relax and unwind at 'The Bosque'.
