Lovely property, nice quiet location. House is comfy, decorated very nice. Great fenced in yard for the dogs. Owner is great to communicate with. Couldn’t be happier.with our stay!
We very much enjoyed the cabin and the property. It was so comfortable and beautiful! We were here for my daughter’s horse show at Tryon and it was a perfect location. We would definitely stay again if it’s available.
House and view are gorgeous.
Close to Tryon Equestrian center.
Hosts were gracious and when our flight was canceled at the last minute, they were understanding and helpful to us.
House is amazingly well outfitted.
Peaceful, serene setting. Enjoyed sitting on the porches. Would def stay here again!
I could not find a single fault with this property. It was AMAZING!!! Andrea and Brandon are the nicest people and fantastic at communicating. The house is impeccably maintained and gorgeous. And, I have never stayed in a house that was so well stocked. We loved every single moment we were there!!
We had a lovely stay at this home; easily one of the best experiences we have had while renting a vacation home. The hosts are thoughtful and generous and not having to “start from scratch” and think of bringing or buying every possible thing you are used to reaching for in your own kitchen was wonderful. House itself was clean and comfortable and my kids enjoyed being able to talk to and watch the horses every day. (The temporary benefits of horse ownership without any of the associated hard work!) Beautiful area with plenty to do as a family but without the crowding factor of going to the Outer banks or similar locations. The fire pit out back was a high point for us and helped create some special memories. Would recommend wholeheartedly.
I would recommend this place to everyone looking to stay in the area,
This is really nice place would recommend it to any one . Nice place for family or friends to enjoy. Owners very nice people. Love the great views. Jim and maurice. I rate this place a 10.
The property was extremely well maintained. Everything was spotless. The kitchen was one of the best equipped for meal prep that I have seen in a vacation rental. The setting was very peaceful with the fenced area containing four horses close to the house. We were able to interact (from behind the fence) pleasantly with four very tame beautiful horses. The little girls (ages 1 1/2 and 3 years old) in our party were delighted to watch them. Also, from the back porch, other fenced pastureland was visible on the hillside where sheep, some cattle, and a donkey grazed. The scenery and animals reminded us of our visit to the countryside in Switzerland and
Germany where we stayed in a small hotel surrounded by pastures. The only thing missing were the cowbells. It was very relaxing to sit and visit on that porch. My daughters and sons-in-laws enjoyed the fire circle (Thank you to the hosts for providing the wood and fire starting supplies!) Our group also played several rounds of cornhole and other games provided by the hosts. Thank you Andrea for such a pleasant stay!
My wife, my 9 1/2 year old daughter and our 10 1/2 year old Schnauzer had an amazing stay. In fact our daughter and her boyfriend and their four month old golden retriever puppy drove up from college, in Florida, and stayed with us for a few days and there was more than enough room for all of us and we had a wonderful time.. Andrea and Brandon are the sweetest caring hosts who go out of their way and were very helpful with recommendations. They have tons of firewood for the big indoor fireplace and the outdoor firepit. There are two really nice horses who graze daily on a large plot of land to one side of the property and if you want, you can convince them to come over to the fence and feed them a carrot or apple slice. We all did. Even my 2 1/2 year old nephew did. That's how gentle the horses are. The nicest. I could go on and on but I will stop here and highly recommend a stay here when visiting this area. Lots to do around here but just sitting on the back porch or in the huge fenced in backyard by the forepit is so relaxing and I wouldn't trade the gorgeous view with any other. Im very serious. I don't think, for the price, one can find anything better.
Andrea’s place is just amazing. It’s tranquility and privacy were exactly what my family was hoping for. The house is beautifully decorated. The horses were out daily and extremely friendly. Plenty of room for each family member to have their own private space. The views are wonderful and it’s extremely close to Lake Lure. The best part, we got to see the star of Bethlehem outside under blankets with perfect views! Overall wonderful stay, I’d absolutely recommend this property! The wood burning fire place definitely helped the Christmas spirit. 🤩 Lastly, it has everything you’d need for cooking!!
Our family and friends enjoyed a wonderful week on this beautiful property. The location was perfect. Close to a local grocery store and hiking trails. We also were able to visit some local wineries. I would highly recommend this property for your next stay in North Carolina .
Beautiful Cabin and scenic views. Great location near multiple beautiful mountain towns and hikes. Child and pet friendly cabin. Plenty of space and relaxing atmosphere. Met with owners when power went out due to tropical storm. Very friendly and helpful. I recommend this cabin for any family that is looking for a mountain getaway. Children loved watching and interacting with horses on site. We will be staying again!!!
We absolutely loved our stay. The house was perfect, with many additional features we didn't expect to find (games, condiments, coffee/tea, paper towels, etc). House was perfectly clean, views from out back amazing, it really was a fantastic stay. The only issue is that the owner was staying in her RV in the driveway of the property. Let me be clear though - she was super sweet and allowed us to feed the horses and we didn't see her much, but it was a bit awkward knowing they were right there - we felt guilty being in the house w/ them in the RV. But definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to go back again.
The house and property were perfect for a short summer vacation during the pandemic. The house was spacious, high speed internet allowed remote work. The house was about a fifteen minute drive to the lake. The host was super responsive to messages.
It was absolutely perfect, we had our show barn, three families stay, all had privacy and every need was met. Would stay here every time I come to Tryon Equestrian Center
Our family met for Thanksgiving holiday and we had an awesome time. Everything you could possibly need to cook a holiday meal was provided. Plenty of room to spread out and very comfortable furniture and beds. We enjoyed using the fire pit at night and perfect place for our small dogs to run around. Horses were also an added bonus. Loved the petting. Have stayed in VBRO across country and Europe and this lovely home is near the top!!!
Perfect, Perfect, Perfect in every way. We had a wonderful time here and will book again soon. Many thanks, Andrea!
The home is truly exceptional - well appointed, beautiful equestrian decor, and loads of rustic charm. We were tempted to just stay "at home" and enjoy the serenity! We really loved the large stone fireplace and big screen TV! All three of the bedrooms were charming and very comfortable - with a romantic master suite. I loved the many LED candles that gave a perfectly wonderful glow for our romantic nights.
One of the best features of the home is the setting... the farm is very private and fenced. Our pup was thrilled with the large fenced yard - and with getting to know the horses just over the fence in the pasture. The home is situated back from the little traveled access road on acres of rolling pasture surrounded by mountains. Quiet and serene! We hiked around the property and delighted in the surrounding pastures with grazing horses, cows, and sheep. It's also centrally located with many points of interest, hiking, and dining within 15-20 minutes at Lure Lake, Hendersonville, Flat Rock, and Columbus. Great shopping with art and local crafts in abundance and at lower prices than Asheville (just 40 miles from the Farm).
We are hoping for another visit during the winter holidays - the kitchen was just as described - fit for preparing a holiday meal for the family.

The Most Perfect Christmas and New Year
The house was perfect, the location just beautiful and the fireplace and decorations every much as beautiful as the photo, and to be honest even better in person. Andrea and her husband have the most wonderful home and we spent two weeks relaxing and loving being at Mill Hill Farm. The kitchen is well equipped, the house is decorated beautifully with an equine theme. We cooked a lot, drank coffee on the deck overlooking the pasture and the dogs had a blast chasing balls in the fenced yard. We took the dogs for walks at Morse Park, visited nearby Hendersonville, Saluda, Tryon and Chimney Rock. We did Biltmore at Christmas which yes was busy but definitely worth it. However after each of our daily trips it was just lovely to come back to this amazing house. Internet connection was great. Andrea - thank you to you and your husband for sharing your home with us! I miss it already!

I am a nurse and an avid fox hunter and my husband is an Equine dentist. We fell in love with this area, its beauty and its horse friendly atmosphere. We love the outdoor life and the activities here are abundant. People in the community are genuine, friendly and very welcoming.
Why they chose this property
This home spoke to me the moment I saw it. It is what I always dreamed of in a home. The warmth of the wood interior and the beauty of the land it's on. Enjoying a glass of wine while rocking on the back porch looking at the horses grazing in the pasture is a favorite of mine? I hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
What makes this property unique
Location, location, location! Natural beauty, warm people, and of course the horses!
