Thomas was a great help after hours!!I won't rent this house again (or any owned by this person) as we received calls on the house phone instructing us on the dos and don'ts of parking. My agreement was with JI Realty and not the homeowner. I didn't go on vacation to be harassed by a homeowner with a ring doorbell.I will recommend JI Realty to friends (and I have) but not this property!

The rooms are clean and the interior is decorated with pictures of Jekyll throughout the home. There are puzzles, movies, and books to keep you occupied if it rains and the kitchen is stocked with all the pots, pans, and dishes you need to make the perfect meal. There is a fenced yard with plenty of shade and a perfect patio area to have a glass of wine while you enjoy nature. It's also a short bike ride to both the beach and the historic area.We will definitely book this house again. Kudos to both the owners and Jekyll Realty for making the week perfect!

Thanksgiving 2023

We have love A Jekyll Interlude and the Jekyll Realty staff. The house is perfect for our family and the fenced backyard is fantastic for our dogs. However, we were deeply disappointed with the sheets that are now part of the rental fee. We were told they would be hotel quality, but one set was so bad, we couldn't sleep on it. it was rough like sandpaper. We would like to see 'linens provided' return to being an option not included. Next year we will bring our own. We are not a fan of streaming services because of connectivity issues we have had at home but the provided service is adequate for our needs. Our less than stellar review is only because of the linens. Otherwise, A Jekyll Interlude is always 5 stars.

Peaceful Vacation

My favorite island and my favorite home to stay at. Stayed here many years on vacation and always have pleasant experience with Jekyll Island Realty. The house meets all our needs. There are a few repairs that need to be made this visit. The two lights on the patio do not work. Sink in kitchen is stopped up on the opposite side of garage disposal which filled up both sides with water when we tried to use the dishwasher. The dishwasher soap dispenser is broken so you can only sanitize the dishes. So this requires hand washing the dishes. The lock on the front door is tricky. We were locked out and the Realtor responded quickly. They didn’t change the door locks but made new keys which fixed the problem. Small problems which probably have never been reported. Love the Island, Love Jekyll Island Realty. If available will always stay here❤️❤️❤️

The dogs loved the huge, secure backyard, and we all enjoyed the Christmas experience in the community. We attended the parade and enjoyed the gorgeous light show.

Sand and Surf, History, Walks

For some years a bologna sandwich was a better meal that you could get on the island. Today, the total experience of being on the island is better than I can remember.There are few things better than a house rental for enjoying the best this historic island has to offer. Our stay was on Glynn Ave, a very short walk from the surf and a scenic walk to the historic section of the island. A Jekyll Interlude gave us the best of both the beachside and the riverside. We ate at the good restaurants, and we ate at the house, giving us the best of both worlds.And Sir Reginald Bumble Paws (Great Pyr) enjoyed his long walks and lazy days with his people.

December 2021 Stay

Thanks for making a great week possible. No squawks on the place. The only thing that was not perfect was the heat lamp in the smaller bathroom is burned out. But we didn't need it. The master bed's mattress could be a bit better, but I understand the need to economize. The tub wasn't very clean, but that was easy to remedy. We love having the back yard for the dog. September Stay

A Jekyll Interlude was a nice place to stay. The neighborhood is very pleasant and quiet. It is close enough to the beach to walk, but if you have much to carry it is easier to drive. The large, fenced in yard was very convenient for my dog. The kitchen is equipped with all of the necessary equipment for cooking. The rental company was very responsive to my questions, and the maintenance man came quickly to take care of a few minor issues. My low rating on the cleanliness of the house was because it could use some “spring cleaning “ but it wasn’t a problem. If I were the owner, I would want to know. I realize that they can’t know about these things if they are not there.

It is set off from the rest of the living area. The den and kitchen are comfortable and well appointed. The house is not as clean as it could be. It needs more attention to the details. The back cement patio was full of mold and slippery when wet. The yard was large and ample. However, it couldn't be viewed from sliders due to overgrown shrubs. Perfect location to the closest beach, a 5 minute bike ride away.

We usually stay at the same property bc we take our fur babies with us and the property fits our needs in every way. The rain put a damper in the vacation this year as far as the activities we could participate in but you can never give Jekyll Island a bad rating!. It is a lot more busy there than years ago but the beaches and activities that are offered always exceeded our expectations. WE LOVE ❤️ JEKYLL ISLAND
