We loved the views of the ocean and the beach was very nice, clean, not crowded. The house was charming and clean. The only issue was having just 1 bathroom was tough for the 5 of us.
My family of 4 had a restful stay at Ocean View. Early morning coffee on the ocean view deck and beach days on the most beautiful “singing” sands in all of Canada were exactly what we came for. The quiet country roads made for peaceful cycling to North lake and East Point Lighthouse. Elliott’s General Store, a few hundred metres away, had everything we needed and for a larger grocery store, a few nice restaurants, and fresh seafood, Souris is just a 15 minute drive. Perfect location in all respects!
The ship and ocean theme of the cottage made for a relaxed and fun space, one that is clearly cherished by the owners, Bruce and Valerie. They were responsive to any questions, clear and helpful with rental details and suggestions for visiting the area.
Everything was neat as a pin and conveniently set up. The kitchen was efficient and had everything we needed, though best for one cook as there is a small workspace.
We enjoyed breezes off the ocean and sunshine on the deck all day, and while simple, Sea Seekers had everything we needed for a perfect week with local family.

Antique cottage
The cottage view is amazing . However the cottage itself needs some attention . Broken deck furniture , squeaky beds , squeaky cupboard doors , old dishes , a mix mash of glasses ( some from 1973) , alot of the decor is antique thus not cottage user friendly . Musty smelling when we arrived . The stairs to the upstairs would not pass code they are steep and some of the steps are 10 inches and some are 6 inches . Not very safe for children or seniors . The cottage is neglected .
We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cottage. The location is perfect - We drove about 5-7 minutes to Basin Head beach which is rated one of the best beaches on the island. There is also a less crowded but unsupervised beach within a 3-4 minute drive. It is about 15 minutes to the town of Souris where you can taste the most delicious seafood (Lobster Shack which is right at the beach and Breakwater21 were fabulous).
The cottage itself has everything you need. It is beautifully decorated with antique furniture and unique nautical pieces. As mentioned by previous reviewers, the view from the living room is superb.
We also enjoyed watching the farmer neighbour harvest the wheat field. Our six year old son was fascinated by the process - he watched it from the deck.
Bruce was such a great host - he promptly answered all the questions we had. The house was super clean and welcoming when we arrived and Bruce stopped by to greet us the next day.
We feel so lucky to have found this beautiful oceanfront property and would be happy to return to Sea Seekers in the future.
The cottage was just lovely and the view of the strait wonderful. Sweet nautical / antique vibe in the cottage and always a great breeze on even the hottest days. Bothwell Beach is fabulous and just a short walk (or even shorter drive) away.
This was our third stay at Bruce’s and Val’s properties and the first time in this beautiful house. The house is very charming, tastefully decorated, confortable, clean and well equipped. And the view is to die for. Beautiful beaches just couple of mins away. We had a wonderful week and we are definitely planning to come back. Highly recommended! Thank you Valerie and Bruce for your hospitality!

When cottage life was easy and simple!
We loved our stay at Seaseekers, the lovely and quaint cottage overlooking the Northumberland strait. The rooms are adorable, pretty antique furniture, and marine curios. The house has a very happy spirit. Our favorite was the dining table near the window overlooking fields, Basin head and the sea... we often spotted the porpoise from there with our binoculars. Our other favorite spot was the kitchen. Nothing missing, everything you might need was there, and we cooked a lot!
There are bald eagles, fox, and blue heron. There were board games and interesting books for the few rainy days that we had.
TV and Internet worked well , and it is a very beautiful area : close to Souris, Basin head, And a short drive to St Peter's Bay. The back roads are very scenic. Singing sands beach a nice walk or short drive away...and beautiful. Bruce and Valerie were wonderful hosts, and very accessible. Thank you both!
The pictures on VRBO don't do justice to the cottage - it is much nicer!

A magical place!
This is a beautiful cottage that exemplifies the history and romance of the Island! The house has been furnished with interesting antiques, and is well stocked with cooking equipment, linens and fascinating books. The view from the back deck is beautiful. The nearby sandy beach is peaceful and lovely, and the owners are readily available and exemplify the true spirit of hospitality. Staying in this cottage was a wonderful and unforgettable experience.

Best vacation!
This place is awesome! We had a wonderful week there! Close to the beach, you can walk or even drive the car as there is also a road giving access to the beach. The beach is beautiful, when you walk in the sand the sand sings!! You can swim since the water is warm given how shallow the water level is at that location. This place is spectacular for taking landscape pictures. I was glad to bring my SLR camera.
things to be aware: lots of mosquitoes at night and sometimes you do get days where there is lot of jellyfish.

Beautiful place, wonderful vacation!
Many thanks to the Beatons for making our 50th wedding annivesary year so special. Their home was exactly as described with everything we could possibly
need for a truly wonderful time. Having been to PEI before, we enjoyed exploring
the eastern end of the island; but we were also able to drive anywhere we wished
with great ease. Bruce was extremely helpful, and knowing we could easily reach him, if necessary, made us very comfortable. PEI is a special island,
and Sea Seekers made it even more special.
