Heaven sent mountain view!! Perfect for any occasion

Welcome to Lovingood Chalet which features a spectacular mountain view. Inside you will find all the comforts of home. Chalet features a very clean and spacious living area. Outside has a porch on three sides (covered front and back) Take in the view of the mountains, read a book, or bird watch. Cook your meal on the gas grill and eat outside enjoying the serenity. Home boasts a large downstairs game room with full size pool table, electronic full size dart board, and card table.

All roads leading to Lovingood Chalet are paved and state maintained allowing easy year round access. Location is quiet with very little traffic.

Chalet is away from all of the hustle and bustle but less than 10 minutes from a Super Walmart and Ingle's grocery store.

Chalet is close to Cherokee Lake Picinic Area, Hanging Dog US forest Recreation Area, Murphy River Walk & Canoe Trail and MANY more things to see and do. The chalet is located in Cherokee county which is the meeting place of 3 sets of mountains, Appalachian Mountains, Blue Rige Mountains, and Smoky Mountains so there is plenty of hiking for all experience levels, fishing, and waterfall hunting. Also, near the Nantahala National Forest.

Pleasant hpuse

This is the second time in 2 years that we’ve stayed here. The home is very comfortable and is in a nice location. Johanna was very accommodating as we had to change the dates a couple of times. No surprises, house was furnished with necessary items. If available, we would definitely stay here again.

Thanksgiving week

We stayed at the cabin for a week with 6 adults. There was plenty of space for everyone with a separate bedroom and bathroom on each of the three levels. We mostly gathered on the main floor the watch movies by the fire and play games. We did venture downstairs to play darts and pool. The kitchen was well stocked and we ate most of our meals in the cabin. It was a great relaxing week and I would love to come back and stay there again in the future.

Beautiful Get Away

Very relaxing, really enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and seeing the view of the mountains. The game room was a huge plus! The property manager was great. She responded right away with any questions or needs.

Beautiful home beautiful views

The property was even more beautiful in person then in the photos. Very spacious and well decorated. My whole family loved the cabin. Would go back in the future!

Great stay

Great house, great location, great owners. We have vacationed in the area on multiple occasions. This property is one of the best that we have had the pleasure of staying at regardless of price. We had a small issue with the house when we arrived and the owners went above and beyond in working to get it taken care of. The location is perfect to serve as a home base for many local attractions and the town of Murphy. We will definitely look to stay here again in the future.

Amazing Mountain Views

This cabin was a true gem with everything you could ask for and a view of the mountains that was truly fantastic! We were able to see hummingbirds, squirrels, and other birds visiting while relaxing on the comfortable porch. Located close to town and all paved roads made for an easy commute for shopping and excursions. This cabin was so enjoyable that we hated to leave and head back home. We are very glad the owners shared their piece of heaven with us and would love the chance to return in the future.

Quiet location, beautiful views, a great place to stay.

The cabin was in a great location, and had a great view of the surrounding area. The home was well equipped, and had plenty of space. Balcony off of the master bedroom was an especially nice treat for morning coffee. Small fenced section of yard was also nice for our dog to use as needed. And questions or issues we encountered were addressed as quickly as possible by the homeowner. Though an overflowing toilet in the finished basement essentially took up one of our nights staying there, between trying to clean up water and move furniture. There was no apparent clog, and may have been a septic issue. Homeowner was having it addressed ASAP but that was going to be after our departure. We tried our very best to contain the situation and prevent any damage while spending a night there, taking care of a situation did not appear to be caused by just the two of us. (Literally only peed in the toilet that overflowed) We too have septic at home and are very aware of what not to do! We would not ask for it but had hoped for some kind of compensation (maybe a small credit toward a future stay or something) as we spent a good amount of time dealing with that and getting our hands dirty. But it was still a decent stay and the homeowners were very understanding and did not immediately try to blame us as some do. We had paid for additional insurance in the event something had happened, but it was not needed to my knowledge. Hopefully the issue was resolved without further incident.

Fun and relaxing

A friend and I (fellow quilters) spent the month of February making quilts at Lovingood Chalet. The kitchen is amazing with everything we needed or thought we needed. The view is fantastic and access is easy. Close to Walmart, but still very secluded and private.

Wonderful view, perfect location!

This cabin is so great in every way. We enjoyed our stay. Very clean and nice furnishing. Good location. Close to everything. Most evening we played Billiard and checkers. The fire place was so wonderful easy operation compare to other cabin! Kitchen was perfect equipped with everything. Our dog Lenny was so happy and like the cabin also. Trip to see the leavesC

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. It was my husband and I and my Mom and Dad who are in their 80’s For anyone concerned about someone with mobility issues, There are a few steps to get in the cabin but once you’re in, there is a bedroom on the main floor with a queen bed. So my parents didn’t have to worry about steps to their bedroom. We played pool , watched tv and enjoyed the beautiful view of the leaves changing colors. Great place to get away for a few days. There are restaurants close by but we also enjoyed a home cook meal. We had 2 dogs with us, the only concern we had was a couple stray dogs but luckily they weren’t out when we walked ours Owner answers questions or concerns quickly.

Relaxing weekend

We went to celebrate our anniversary and my mom’s birthday and had such a great time. The house fit our needs perfectly and we could bring our dog which was awesome! By far the most relaxing weekend we’ve all had in quite some time.

Wonderful location

We loved the views of the mountains from the decks every day. We stayed for a month so we were pleased with all the cooking pots, utensils & dishes that we needed. I would only suggest putting screen doors on so we could keep the doors open to let in the cool air. Also, because of the length of our stay, a wider range of TV stations would have been much appreciated. We were very happy with the very rapid responses from the owners on the few occasions that we reached out to them. Many thanks to Johanna & Bobby for sharing their home. Pat, Eleanor & Fiona
