The Space

A short 13 minute walk from beautiful downtown Burbank, the Burbank Sanctuary is a well-appointed and comfortable studio apartment with an elegant boutique touch. Enjoy luxury bedding, abundant amenities, 42" flat screen and full kitchen. Experience five diamond standards with at home comfort, privacy and security. An ALDI supermarket is at the other end of the street.

The Burbank Sanctuary is a downstairs apartment. While the vast majority of our guests love the apartment, it's not for very light sleepers.

Relaxation and comfort will come easy during your stay with us. Your experience includes queen-size luxury bedding, unlimited hot showers, free wifi and digital 55" smart widescreen with Netflix, Amazon, Hulu and Pandora. There is no local TV.

You will also have a full size kitchen at your fingertips with all the cooking comforts you could wish for. A full size fridge, unlimited ice, soap, shampoo and towels are among the many delightful amenities available during your stay at the Burbank Sanctuary.

Enjoy accommodations and VIP treatment of a boutique hotel with at home comfort, privacy and security.

The building is a charming and cozy 5-unit apartment residence. There is a secluded side-entrance for maximum privacy and home-like comfort.

Guest Access

Ample unrestricted street parking is available, no permits or pesky meter feeding required. Driveway parking is reserved for our permanent residents. Everything is digital, no keys to weigh you down during your time out and about. I set a new code for each guest which assures total privacy and security during your stay.

Interaction with Guests

Depending upon the time of year, Self check-in is available or you may meet and greet with your host, sharing tips and information about the apartment and local area.

The Neighborhood

I love the Magnolia Park area of Burbank. This property sits next to the Chandler bike path and is walking distance from the downtown Burbank area. There's convenient food, markets and plenty of shopping nearby.

Getting Around

I always recommend rideshares such as Uber or Lyft, but public transportation is equally within reach.

Other Things to Note

I have been in the hospitality industry since 2005. I owned and operated two hotels and I have traveled extensively. My sensibilities are for the traveler and the amenities included in your stay meet my high standards for quality hotel accommodations. In addition, the Burbank Sanctuary offers the fastest and most reliable internet available in the city.

House Rules

I cater to the nonsmoker without pets. Smoking is not permitted inside the apartment nor on the property. Our other tenants dislike the aroma. We love small non-human friends, but unfortunately they are not allowed at the property. We observe quiet time from 10pm to 8am and kindly request that you do the same by turning down your music or television during these times.

Work & Fun Trip

This was a great location for our week of work in the Burbank area and some fun as well. Easy to get to all our activities and accommodations were cozy but exactly what we needed to feel comfortable and have a safe place to rest and relax. Great sundries and perfect little kitchen so we didn't have to go out for every meal. Would recommend!

Adorable place. Everything was super easy to use/access. My only “complaint” (and it’s not really a complain) is that the chair wasn’t super comfy and the floor was really dirty. I had to wash my feet before getting in bed. 😜 Was really a terrific place to stay and made my visit all the better!

Feels like home!

We had stayed here once before so the booking & checkin all were smooth and easy. This location is great for us as we needed a place to stay while visiting our son in Burbank. We appreciated the emails from the owners alerting us beforehand to repark our car for street cleaning. For us, this was a familiar home away from home during our visit/vacation. We look forward to a return visit in our future.

Very intimate and practical

I spent two weeks in this studio and thoroughly enjoyed the quaint space and amenities. The kitchen was fully stocked with equipment. The fridge had to be replaced when I arrived and everyone wore masks while inside the apartment. Communication was excellent. The only thing I recommend is also including the trash day with the street sweeping days. The neighbors put their trash bins in all of the available spaces on the street which can mean a long haul if you're packing in groceries :)

Excellent Stay in Burbank

The Place was very easy to get to with good parking (on the street only) and very clean. I LOVED the TV and ALL the channels it got! A few smaller details, Being a older building, the walls are pretty thin so heard the neighbors pretty clearly. The shower has a awesome Rain shower head but only comes straight down so you have to stand directly under it and thats about a 20" x 20" up against the front wall over the drain. Overall....I love the place and how close it was to what I had to do in Burbank for the week.

Universal Studios visit

The property was clean and welcoming. The hosts were very attentiveness. The neighborhood was quit and felt safe. The only concern is the neighbor upstairs walking around in the middle of the night. We just weren’t used to the noise. Not too bad.

Very comfortable clean rental. Great communication from the host, and everything you need is provided from snacks to toiletries and kitchenware . Bed is comfortable and appreciated the multiple outlets available. Didn’t run into any sound issues except for just 1 night I heard stomping from neighbors but it wasn’t too bad

Perfection!

My husband and I were in the Glendale area to meet our newest granddaughter. We chose Chris’s listing because it was well-priced and fairly close to our destination. We are extremely pleased with every aspect of Chris’s property. It was spotlessly clean (very important!), was located in a quiet and safe residential neighbor, had a very comfortable queen-size bed and a kitchen with everything we needed. The wifi signal was consistent and strong enough for my husband and I to do some work, and the desk and small kitchen table worked great as work space. Besides the level of cleanliness, the thoughtfulness of the host and hostess make this VRBO property a MUST. Chris and his wife provided so many homey extras. There was a bottle of wine and cookies waiting for us upon arrival, in addition to a soft and firm pillow for each sleeper, A/C (and a fan), toiletries, lotions, loofahs, charging stations for devices, dish soap, good quality kitchen and bath towels, pretty dishes, and so much more! Also, I don’t want to forget to mention the very informative and clearly laid out “Welcome” packet that detailed nearby stores, eateries, activities, plus the QR code on the packet that led to a video of Chris highlighting ins-and-outs of the property. Well done!!! We look forward to reserving this VRBO again in the future. It was great!

Just what was needed!

Relaxing Retreat

This was a wonderful & relaxing getaway with thoughtful amenities! The host provided complimentary treats, including my favorite type of wine, as well as extra amenities. The bed was comfortable, WiFi worked great, the TV offerings were top-notch, the shower was perfect, the entire place was impeccably clean & cozy! The kitchen didn't have a toaster oven, but was a pleasure to use in every other regard. I really appreciate the coded entry. I couldn't get hot water to flow to the bathroom sink or kitchen sink, but the tankless water heater supplied enough hot water for a relaxing shower. I didn't ask the host about this, but they were very attentive in every other way, so they probably would have resolved this issue for me. This host provides a very comprehensive Welcome Packet & carefully placed elegant signs that explain details about the accommodations & answer most questions in advance. I would gladly stay here again!

Hard to beat value

This is a great spot for resting your head at night at a good cost. Managers are good hosts & very responsive. Nice little kitchen area is a plus. A bit of floor creaking but not a biggy. I enjoyed my stay.

Great stay in Burbank

The homeowners are very thoughtful to all details. The house is nicely decorated and extremely clean. Bed is very comfortable, kitchen and bathroom - we had everything we need. Additionally, the location is great, numerous cafe's and shopping mall within the walking distance from the house. And Burbank located very conveniently from all you can go to anywhere only a very short ride to downtown or anywhere else you need to go. We would love to stay here again during our next visit to LA, and would recommend it to our friends. The only issue we've had was a 7AM lawn mowing, please don't let them to start that early!
