GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Spacious Italian villa (made of "trullo" cones), fully renovated with all comforts, immersed in centuries-old olive tree grove. Fresh during summer (also air conditioning), comfortable in other seasons, with in-floor heating. Rentable weekly/monthly (check price drop). Sea view. IDEAL FOR SELF-ISOLATION –see below. A trullo is a traditional Apulian dry stone construction dating from the 1500s. Swimming pool, inside dimensions: 553x342 cm; available June 1st-September 15th (use your own risk).
THE SPACE:
FOR THOSE WHO WANT SELF ISOLATION: Our villa is completely independent and surrounded by a magnificent garden (actually vast fields). It is therefore surrounded by nature and allows for a holiday in self isolation, with large spaces all available, where you can spend time in serenity with family or friends. All this guarantees maximum relaxation, even while maintaining social distancing. You will feel at home, and if you want, you can certainly work in peace, in "smart working" mode.
SEE INTERIORS’ MAP (PHOTO): There are 4 dedicated bedrooms, 2 living rooms (with an additional sofa-bed), 2 bathrooms, and 2 kitchens: one inside, one outside (roofed). There is roofed parking.
All day could be spent outside as an option, in the spacious patio or in the fields that we also own (olive trees, organic production). Or spend the evenings watching stars on top of the roof.
It is fundamental to use energy conservatively also for its environmental impacts. In case energy use significantly exceeds 5.75 Euro/day (National Institute of Statistics estimate), part of the Security Deposit may be used.
Guest have access to the whole villa and extensive property –see photos. The additional kitchen outside has all features; its substantial, marble table always becomes a favourite spot for eating and socializing.
THE OWNER:
The owner, Marco is a university professor of ecology and biology with Italian and Canadian heritage.
THE LOCATION (AND ADDITIONAL SPACE AVAILABLE):
The villa is in the countryside, and close to stunning beaches and architectural beauties. Try to imagine: centuries-old olive trees, almond trees, tiny country roads with traditional white dry walls at the sides. On a tree near the house there is a roomy treehouse for the kids. The seaside is amazing, wonderful for swimming, and just 4 km away (visible from the villa). The villa is near the Protected Area of Torre Guaceto and an hour away from Lecce, Martina Franca and all the other most interesting cities in Puglia, where baroque architecture thrives. The nearest town, also 4 km away, is Ostuni: the spectacular “white city” (“citta’ bianca”), of middle-eastern feel.
Our guests will enjoy the peace of the Southern Italian countryside, as neighbours are neither visible nor audible. There is therefore a wonderful opportunity to take long showers under a sizeable olive tree, where we have placed an additional outdoor shower.
