The house has 2 bedrooms, a living room (with armchair, sofas, 80cm flat screen TV), a fitted kitchen, a bathroom and 2 WCs. You will be able to take your meals, if you wish, on the terrace-pergola. The house is located in the beautiful village of Carlux, in the heart of the Périgord Noir, 15 minutes from Sarlat. You will find in the village a bakery, a grocery store, a bar-restaurant, as well as a peasant hall offering products from farms in the region. Carlux also has a doctor, a post office. Within a radius of a few kilometers you will have access to many sites, classified villages (Domme, La Roque Gageac, Beynac, Rocamadour), gardens (Eyrignac, Marqueyssac, Cadiot), caves (Lascaux, Fond de Gaume, Rouffignac, Lacave, Padirac ) and castles (Millandes, Beynac, Castelnaud, Fénelon). Many activities will be offered, swimming and canoeing at 2 Kilometers in the Dordogne, hiking trails (the G. R 6 crosses the village), cycle paths, hot air balloon flight. The village and its surroundings also offer good restaurants and farm inns. Village markets and farms offer excellent regional products, including goose and foie gras.

Carlux review

We arrived fifteen minutes late (with only an address, not directions, which our car satnav did not recognise). No-one met us on arrival, or later, or on the following day, as promised. There was little to guide us: no info on wi-fi (we had to telephone the owner for the password); no visitors' book, which, in our experience, is usually filled with helpful info, e.g. on local restaurants). We saw no washing machine, dryer or sunloungers, and only located them after reading the owner's on-line response to other guests who had failed to find them (no surprise, given the ridiculous location and access: I have seen less intimidating entries to disused mine workings!). TV operation is a complete nonsense. The house is actually fine internally, apart from the washing machine / dryer issue, but is badly let down by the garden. The immediate impression on arrival is one of neglect. The pergola area is fine, but the only part of the garden open to the sun, where one might like to spend a little time, is a small and uneven area of gravel overgrown with well-established weeds, and partially separated from the road by neglected shrubs. The pathways are uneven and potentially hazardous. The area is in serious need of attention: it is simply not good enough for a holiday rental property. The advertised "parking on site" (important to us when choosing a holiday property) does not exist. This is very poor. Local public parking is not an acceptable substitute. Partial refund in order?

Hübsches kleines Haus im Perigord Noir

Sehr schön! Für 2 Leute ist reichlich Platz. Das Haus ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Die Küche ist übermäßig gut ausgestattet. Die Umgebung ist nett und die nahe Straße ist nicht so laut, wie wir befürchtet hatten. Die Angabe, man solle den Vermieter wegen des WLAN kontaktieren ist irreführend, denn es ist überhaupt nicht vorhanden. Aber es ist alles da, was man für einen schönen Ferienaufenthalt braucht.

Jolie maison parfaite pour découvrir la région

Jolie maison spacieuse , bien équipée , conforme à la description. Grande flexibilité pour l'arrivée et le départ grâce à la boîte à clés .Bien située, elle est idéale pour découvrir la Dordogne avec beaucoup de beaux sites à découvrir à proximité .

Location à la cagouille

Location conforme aux photos. Très bien équipée. En pleine canicule, les ventilateurs dans les chambres ont "sauvés " nos nuits. Très peu profité de la terrasse car énormément de moustiques. Gîte idéalement situé pour les visites que nous souhaitions faire. Merci pour la bonne bouteille au réfrigérateur. Seul point négatif,pas de papier toilettes( même un fin de rouleau ,ni équipement de "base " comme du liquide vaisselle..C'est peut-être pour cela que j'ai trouvé une poêle,des plats mal nettoyés). Nous recommandons cette maison de vacances. J'ai adoré la décoration 🙂

Vacances en Dordogne

Séjour très agréable. Beaucoup de marche à pied. Nombreux châteaux. Vu quelques jardins dont Eyrignac et Marqueyssac. De bons restaurants .

Très belle vacances maison 🏠 très agréable et mignonne petit bémol sur le descriptif de l'annonce car un barbecue annoncé et non présent à notre arrivée et de plus l'annonce précise la présence d'un lave linge et d'un sèche linge et tout deux ne sont pas présent dans la location.

Maison aux extérieurs non entretenu

Maison certes en pierre mais le ménage est loin d’être parfait. Toile d’araignée épaisseur de poussière au niveau de la cheminée, certes on ne sens sert pas mais tout de même. La cuisine parfaite. Les velux d’une saleté de la mousse à l’extérieur, velux chambre poignée plastique cassé à notre arrivé, réparé par mon époux avec l’aide de Josef qui a amené un tournevis. Lave et sèche linge dans la cave sous la maison. La barrière de la clôture cassée depuis longtemps j’imagine, du lierre qui court au sol. Les extérieurs ne sont pas entretenus. Invasion de fourmis dans la salle de bain et pas de bombe insecticide. A part cela la propriétaire n’étant pas sur les lieux appelle qqs jours avant notre arrivée pour toutes questions. En conclusion un peu déçu de l’état général extérieur de la maison qui ne reflète pas les photos du site et l’intérieur un bon coup de propre serait appréciable

La dordogne est vraiment une très belle région. Les châteaux, les grottes, les ballades sur la dordogne, les fermes auberges, le foie gras, le gâteau aux noix, l'huile de noix et bien encore une région que je recommande dans une location très bien située pour les visites et un village de charme. Magnifique séjour

Bon contact avec les propriétaires et la personne sur place chargée de l'accueil. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour dans cette belle petite maison typique qui est très bien équipée et fonctionnelle, il ne manque rien. Le village est charmant avec ses commerces (épicerie, bureau de tabac, boulangerie, restaurant...). Les environs sont riches en visites et en histoire (châteaux, grottes, jardins, activités aquatiques...). La gastronomie locale est copieuse, il y en a dans l'assiette ! De quoi donner l'envie d'y retourner :-)

Séjour agréable

Maison parfaite pour un couple avec enfant. Cuisine très bien équipée. Un village très agreable avec toutes les commodités (boulangerie, supérette, café tabac, et un super restaurant ). Un petit bémol. Il est impossible de garer son véhicule devant la location pendant une longue journée mais Parking public a 200 m.
