1BR Sleeps 2-4, GREAT UPTOWN LOCATION!

This artsy 1 bedroom/1 bath condo with equipped kitchen, washer/dryer. Easy & comfortably decorated with changing art from the owner depending on what she's selling or showing each month. We invite you to come stay with us in our studio that sleeps 2 (Queen 4-poster bed)...with all the amenities you could need. We are located near Tulane and Loyola, great for visiting families! Also, just a few blocks from Audubon Park (great for long walks, runs or bike rides), Audubon Zoo, Magazine street with fun casual or fancy restaurants and bars within walking distance), public transportation (can take you to the French Quarter in about 10-15 minutes). Across from Children's Hospital, we are only 2 blocks to the entrance, or about 2 miles to Ochsner Hospital.
We have off street parking right in front of our house. The bedroom features a 4 post bed, wifi, tv (need your own Roku or firestick to connect), and a comfortable reading chair with lamp. In the other room we have a dining table in the corner, and an island to either eat from or use to prepare your food. We have all the accessories you need in the kitchen and a stackable washer/dryer in the bathroom. If you find that there is something missing, then please let us know and we'll try to accommodate you the best we can. We live right next door and can let you borrow anything we have that you need. Best location

If you are looking for a laid back part of NOLA this location is an excellent choice. We were able to go downtown and experience parades with ease. I recommend this location to anyone.

Perfect spot for a getaway

What a charming place in a good neighborhood! We were in town for the Super Bowl, but also spent time walking around the neighborhood and enjoying some nice local spots.

Perfect for a short stay in NOLA

The property was the perfect size for my partner and I to stay for a few days. It is tucked away in a quiet Uptown neighborhood with easy walking distance to restaurants on Magazine or a stroll in Audubon Park. William was very easy to contact and made our stay very smooth. We had a wonderful time in NOLA, as always!

Week long stay

Thankful for the speedy booking. The host was very accommodating and very easy to communicate with. Perfect for two people, would book again if needed. Listing location is not very accurate, it is farther our from Magazine Street and Whole Foods. There is just one bed.

A great location

This half of a double shotgun cottage is in a fabulous location within walking distance of Audubon Park. We took a beautiful walk through the park all the way to Tulane. The kitchen is fully equipped. Moreover there is a coffee maker and fresh ground coffee from the French Truck. There us a fabulous mattress and great pillows. Our VRBO hostess Tiki was unbelievably kind and made our last day so enjoyable by driving us to the French Truck! We plan to return!

Fantastic Little Retreat

Thank you so much Tiki for your hospitality! We enjoyed your little place very much! I especially enjoyed relaxing on the front porch swing each evening! Your place was the perfect size for my daughter and me. We loved being close to everything without being in the middle of it all. Would definitely recommend to anyone coming to New Orleans. We can’t wait to come back.

Good location, but not like the pictures

This property is in a great location and the property owners were very kind, but the pictures aren’t accurate. The space appears to be a bit of a storage room for leftover furniture. There were many chairs and extra lamps in the bedroom area making it feel cramped and not well looked after, and there were dirty towels in the bathroom. I think if the owners put a bit more TLC into the property, removed some of the extra furniture, and took more recent pictures this would make this spot much better.

Great location. Walk to shopping on Magazine, restaurants and Audubon. Comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, amazing water pressure, good Wi-Fi. Also, lots of little touches like an umbrella at the door and a lint roller on the dresser.

West Riverside stay

I came to NOLA for work and stayed at Willam and Tikki’s place for 22 days. The location was perfect for my commute and safe! I enjoyed my stay there. Their home was clean and adequately stocked. Artistic and charming stay in the Big Easy

Great location, comfortable home, wonderful hosts - a unique experience beyond just a place to stay

We had a wonderful time staying at William and Tiki's property for 5 nights. The home was very comfortable, with everything we needed. A/C was welcome, washer/dryer, great internet, even a fridge stocked with cold beer on arrival! It is in a great area, easy walking distance from Audobon Park, Uptown businesses, restaurants, Whole Foods. Easy parking. The beds were comfortable. Tiki was very thoughtful and kind, readily available at all times, but also respecting the privacy of her guests. She even generously offered to serve as a point of contact for my daughter, who has just started college in town. We will definitely plan to stay there again with our future trips to New Orleans. Thank you very much!

Great communication prior to arrival. Kathryn met and welcomed us to show us around and help to get settled in. She made herself available for any needs and even invited me to her Christmas party and caroling. It was truly a special evening and stay.

A terrific place from which to explore New Orleans!

A wonderful place with terrific owners. We walked to great eateries in minutes and we’re in the French Quarter in 10 or so. Highly recommend.

This is half a shot gun house filled with pseudo antiques and hand me downs. The double mattress was too small for both of us so one slept on the settee. Guess it could be called shabby sheek. Owner did her best to make it an enjoyable stay. Probably won’t due VRBO again. Gimme a hotel.

Great host, great place!

Had an amazing time staying here. Tiki was so lovely and welcoming. Apartment was clean, quiet, spacious, and had everything I could have asked for (towels galore, to-go menus, very comfortable beds, and even shampoo, conditioner, and umbrellas!). Could not have asked for a better stay in Nola. Location was prime and host was even better. So grateful for the time I spent exploring New Orleans! Will definitely be back soon!

Tiki bought this house summer of 1999. We got married right after Katrina and we both practice Real Estate. Tiki is also an Acrylic Artist, Personal Trainer & Wellness Coach. William has always lived in uptown New Orleans just a few blocks from where our home. Tiki & William love playing tennis with their girls! We are both born and raised in Louisiana and have lots of stories to share. LSU and Tulane alum.....some might say with those 2 teams it could be the house divided. HA!

We love our location because it's so WALKABLE to many of our favorite things - restaurants, Whole Foods, Audubon Park & Zoo, and many of our friends' homes.
We have developed many lasting friendships with our guests...and love to see them when visit (often annually or quarterly over the past few years).

Why they chose this property

One of the reasons Tiki bought this property was because if the size of the rooms. Many 'double shotgun' homes have much smaller rooms. Another reason is because of the location!!! Since we exercise so much the convenience to Audubon Park is fantastic for morning walks or bike rides! This has really been nice for our guests. We really enjoy having our vacation rental and love how it provides more than 'just a hotel room' and we take great pride in making sure our guests love New Orleans as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

Since we are right next door (& under the same roof) we are available to help with anything that may come up, whether it dinner reservations, a spice you may need to borrow, or just to answer any questions you may have about the area. We also live a couple of blocks from Children's Hospital and feel it is important to offer families of long term patients there a significant discount for staying with us. The feedback we get is that they feel very 'at home' here and it made their stay more enjoyable.

MY FAVORITE THINGS: the bright rooms, front porch swing, our pond, and outdoor seating/dining areas, the large front columns & huge stained glass windows are original to the house and very old! The plaster walls are great insulators and provide a great deal of privacy. The pocket doors inside the property are solid wood, and not only beautiful but functional. The mantels in the rooms are also original. If staying in an old New Orleans house sounds like fun...then this is a great location for you! :)
