Beautifully positioned in a grove of pine and aspen trees, this gorgeous home in Black Butte Ranch provides access to the community's amazing amenities, a private hot tub, and plentiful windows that let in the Central Oregon sunshine. Step inside to find a bright, spacious living area that's full of contemporary style, where you can have a seat on one of the plush couches, light a fire in the woodstove, and spend a cozy evening sharing stories with your guests. Use the gas grill to cook up a wonderful meal outside, watch as the kids run around the large grassy area, or retreat to the soothing hot tub and let the bubbling water ease away any lingering stress.

This air-conditioned home sits on half an acre of land near the quiet, southern end of Black Butte Ranch, a brief walk from the Glaze Meadow Recreation Center and its indoor and outdoor pools, outdoor hot tub, fitness facilities, tennis courts, sports and rental shop, and spa. Also within the ranch, you'll find a lake, golf courses, restaurants, shops, bike trails, and horseback riding (some activities will require a small fee). If you ever decide leave the ranch grounds, there are plenty of adventures in the area. Downtown Sisters is eight miles southeast, and Bend is 22 miles beyond, so you'll always be close to restaurants, breweries, shops, and entertainment. Come winter, Hoodoo Ski Area is 20 miles west, so you can easily head out there for a snowy, excitement-filled day of skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and snowball fights.

Great property, location, and spacious

This is very close to Glaze Meadow, down a quiet/peaceful road, with a spacious living room/deck area that looks out onto trees (and deer). Two masters with awesome bathrooms was a nice feature! We had plenty of space for the family, meals, food prep, etc. We'd book this home again!

Black Butte Stay 2023

We have stayed at the property numerous times. We love this place. We actually had to leave a few days early because of the smoky air from the fires. One suggestion: more paper products. We kept going through the toilet paper and paper towels.

Some issues the first few days

House could have been cleaner. Found a used bar of soap in the shower. Under sink was worn and dirty. Property manager was hard to reach when we had problems. Voicemail was always full so had to call Vacasa. Had this attitude that we were stupid as couldn’t figure out how to use a few of the things like a very unusual shower head. Not clear about what was the dishwasher detergent or use of the key box. We were not pleased.

Great house; horrible service

Good news: Beautiful house in a great location! We could easily walk to Glaze Meadow Rec Center. Deck and outdoor eating area backed into open space, well stocked kitchen, lots of board games and books. Loved the house! Bad news: About 6 hours before check in, Vacasa (booked with Vrbo) called to tell us they didn’t have housekeepers so we could 1) clean the entire house ourselves (providing our own cleaning supplies), or 2) cancel the reservation. Since we were already on our way with three excited kids, we continued on. After multiple calls and long waits with Vacasa, they refunded our cleaning fee and offered to drop off clean linens and take out the trash. We were left to clean the kitchen, 3 baths, 4 bedrooms, living and dining areas. Note: In addition to cleaning supplies, you may want to pack your own toilet paper, garbage bags, paper towels, laundry detergent — none was provided.

Wonder home for 2 families

We loved this home. It was well stocked with cook wear, bake wear, and utensils. The layout was wonderful for 2 families. The mattresses were not comfortable, but we knew that based on past reviews. We purchased a mattress topper for the master and brought our own blanket and pillows. The view was unbeatable. The location was perfect. Walking distance to the pool and playground. The water pressure was FANTASTIC. There were plenty of board games provided. Cable tv. Disney plus. Netflix. Overall we would absolutely book this home again and would recommend to anyone looking for a multi family or multi generational home.

October stay

Really had an awesome long weekend- just went by too fast Our only findings were unexpected hairs in folded clean towels and lack of informational binder with emergency info or numbers for ranch amenities

Great home tired furnishings and bedding

This is a lovely home in a great location. We had two families and the layout was great and everyone was comfortable. However, the bedding is ancient and wasn't great quality to begin with and the couches are tired and bottomless. I suspect you would be horrified if they were a lighter color. Overall there is a mismatch between the quality of the actual home and some of the furnishings. They are asking a premium price for this home. It would easily be worth it if these things were addressed.

Nice floor plan and setting, very dilapidated home

We have stayed multiple times in this home, and appreciate the layout and setting, but this will be the last time we can stay here unless the home has some major updates: The beds are very uncomfortable and the sheets are old and very rough to the point we didn’t want to use them or the towels! Several fluorescent light fixtures in the main bedroom downstairs were not functioning. The home was only lightly cleaned - there were mouse droppings and hair on the carpets, sticky drops of food in several areas on the woods floors around the dining table, and lint/dust everywhere. The plates (while very pretty pottery) have had so much use that many are now cracked, and repaired in places. This is unsanitary. The stove is almost unusable at this point. Several years ago it was not good, but usable. It currently is so old that some burners do not function, and the ones that do work take many minutes to warm, and are almost impossible to set at the correct temp for cooking food. The picnic table seems to be tossed into the overgrown weeds in the backyard, and sits currently at an angle tipped somewhat sideways. The couches have also seen much better days, and are now so lived-in that they are unbearably uncomfortable. The AC was very appreciated, and the ceiling fans, if they weren’t blowing so much dust. For the price of this rental, we would need some serious upgrades to continue renting.

Great house and great location

First time staying at Black Butte Ranch and we had a blast. There was a lot of snow while we were there which was fun for the kids. The house is really nice and is in a good location close to different activities like sledding, rec. center, etc. Given how cold it was and the amount of snow, it took a while to get the house warmed up, but the wood stove definitely helped with that. Luckily I brought a snow shovel as I had to dig out the hot tub, which was a lot of fun to use while it was snowing!

Nice home in beautiful setting

This home is in a beautiful and peaceful setting and the back deck looks out on a lovely grove of Aspens. The house itself is in a great Black Butte location and very quiet as it is far from the main roads. The lack of a door to the master bedroom is a bit of a drawback, but not terrible. The master is a very nice space even without the door. All the other bedrooms were great and easily accommodated our family of six. Dinner on the back deck every night was a definite plus. We’d rent this house again.

Cozy and secluded

We have stayed in this home twice in the last 3 years. We would rent it again. It's weaknesses are, the common area is small compared to what appears in the picture. The main downstairs bathrooms is cramped. And the heat upstairs and down is difficult to manage (there is no door between the two levels). It's strengths are the back deck view is private and beautiful with an Aspen Grove behind it. It's hot tub is right off a main bedroom downstairs, but is private from any neighbors and it is an easy walk to Glaze Meadow Pool which is open year round. Again it's a great place, it's smaller than the pictures, but we thought it was worth renting and would do so again.

Private, quiet house — great layout for two families

We absolutely loved staying here. The house has a very comfortable layout and is nicely appointed. It backs up to a lovely grove of birch trees and the big windows filled the space with light. Very quiet and private, including the hot tub area. We hope to return! Note: two of the bedrooms have queen/king beds, and the other two have bunk beds though the bottom bunk is a double bed in each of the rooms, which is a nice bonus.
