Sehr hübsches Haus inschöner Lage

Wir haben den Aufenthalt und die überaus freundliche Betreuung durch Madelaine in diesem wunderschön gelegenen Haus sehr genossen. Der tw. malerisch gelegene Fahrradweg direkt hinter dem Haus hat uns u.a. bis Lüttich geführt.

Reizende Gite

Die Lage ist einfach perfekt. Direkt am Fluss, gleich im Zentrum und trotzdem ruhig in einem herrlichen Garten. Alles mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Eine sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Auch bei der Ausstattung hat nichts gefehlt. Top!

Biloba

Heerlijk appartement met alles er op en er aan. Enige minpunt was dat het geen vrijstaand huisje was. Wat op de fotos wel die indruk gaf. Uitzicht leek op de fotos prachtig maar dat was alleen vanuit de slaapkamer op de bovenverdiepingping. Op het terres keek je uit op een groot complex. Maar dit werd ruimschoots gecompenseerd doordat het al met al een prachtig huisje is in een mooie omgeving vlakbij een prachtige boulevard met allemaal leuke terrasjes . Ook is de eigenaresse een fijne hartelijke vrouw wat zeker bijdraagt aan een goed gevoel over deze vakantie.

Excellent location for a stay in the Ardennes

We had a wonderfull stay in Esneux. The cottage has everything you need for a week of rest and relaxation. The kitchen is very complete, with a combi microwave oven and a regular oven, a dishwasher and enough equipment to cook your own meal. The living room is very spacious and offers lots of possibilities to rest after one of the many nice walks in the local village of Esneux or elsewehere in the Ardennes. There is plenty of space to sit outside of the cottage and the river Ourthe is only a few steps away. The cottage has a large bedroom upstairs with a comfortable two-person bed, lots of storage space and racks for your bags. The bathroom is also situated in the bedroom and consists of a sink and a shower pod with lots of options, but due to issues only the showering function is working. This is no problem ofcourse. The only remark one could have is that the shower might be a bit low if you are above the average height, but we managed although one of us was quite tall. The village offers lots of restaurants, a train station, bus stops, a supermarket, bakery's etc. In the nearyby villages you can find larger supermarkets and shops. The host is very kind and will make sure you have a great stay in Esneux. If French is not your native language, no worries... you can communicate in English without issues. We had a great time in Esneux and would recommend this location to anyone visiting the Ardennes!

Très bien

Très bon accueil de Madeleine, le gîte est très bien équipé, nous nous sommes sentis comme chez nous. Nous cherchions le calme et ce fut le cas, l’endroit est très calme. La région est très belle, on a pu se balader à pied autour du gîte, les commerces sont même accessible à pied si on le désire. On est pas très loin de beaux villages/villes. Merci à Madeleine pour ce bon moment! Mireille et Axel

Lovely Idyllic Sanctuary

My wife should really write this review because she was 'over the moon' with pleasure at not only the beautiful quarters but also the wonderful area of Esneux. Our host even made a special trip to acquire for us tourism pamphlets in English, and she allowed us to use her bicycles for a fantastic ride in the country. We would stay there again in a heartbeat. Wonderful, peaceful, tranquil.

Bezauberndes Haus an der Ourthe

Wir hatten eine wunderschöne Woche in einer sehr charmanten und besonderen Unterkunft. Besonders möchten wir uns bei der Gastgeberin Madeleine bedanken, die mit ihrer ganz besonders netten, offenen Art dazu beigetragen hat, dass der Urlaub uns sehr gut gefallen hat. Mit den uns jederzeit zur Verfügung gestellten Fahrrädern haben wir sehr schöne Touren entlang der Orthe unternehmen können. Der Ravel Radweg führt fast unmittelbar an dem Haus vorbei. Wir können das Haus sehr empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder. Anne und Bernd

Heerlijk rustig vakantiehuisje

Op loopafstand van het centrum van Esneux een volledig ingericht huisje voor max. 3 personen. Zeer vriendelijke eigenares en veel privacy. Buiten het huisje zitjes, ligbedden en BBQ zowel in de schaduw als in de zon. Gelijk aan de Ourthe. Prima vrije tijdsmogelijkheden, fietsen(RAVEL route), kayak varen, wandelen en leuke stadjes en kastelen te bezoeken. En dit alles net over de Nederlandse grens, even onder Luik. TOP vakantie

Sehr schöne Unterkunft mit tollen Gastgebern

Wir waren insgesamt zwei Nächte in Esneux und haben unseren Aufenthalt bei Gite sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft war sehr charmant und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Die beiden Gastgeber waren total nett und über aus hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns rund um wohl gefühlt.

Schöner Aufenthalt

Kontakt mit Vermietern sehr nett und zuvorkommend . Leihfahrrad hatte vom Vorgänger einen kaputten Reifen. Spontan bekamen wir sein eigenes hochwertiges Mountainbike für unsere Tour nach Lüttich . Ungewohnt war nur die Bad -Situation . Das w-lan ist auch sehr wackelig .Ansonsten alles perfekt .

Sehr empehlenswertes Ferienhaus

Sauberes, gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus direkt am Fluss und mit herrlichem Ausblick. Ideale Lage für Wanderungen in die nähere Umgebung und Ausflüge mit dem Fahrrad, Auto oder Zug. Bahnhof mit stündlicher Anbindung an Lüttich, Einkaufsmarkt und verschiedene Restaurants und Bars alles in 5-10 min Fußweg erreichbar. Sehr angenehme Vermieter!!!

Charmantes Cottage an charmantem Ort

Das hundertjährige Haus ist perfekt für entspannten, abwechslungsreichen Urlaub. Die Ausstattung ist in allem sehr durchdacht und - wie in Belgien üblich - geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Geräumiges kleines Nebengebäude mit sehr familiärem Charakter

Kleines separates Nebengebäude mit Terrasse und gut ausgestatteter Küche als Ausgangsort für Unternehmungen in den Ardennen. Die Familie ist sehr herzlich, zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Alleinstehendes Haus in einem schönen, kleinen Ort in Belgien.

Insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Sehr ruhiges, im Garten gelegenes Haus. Die Besitzerin war nett. Die Ausstattung war völlig ausreichend, jedoch mit einem Nachteil, dass Die Bettwäsche und Handtücher nicht vorhanden waren. Ist aber nur eine Kleinigkeit. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten auch in der Nähe vorhanden. Ich würde das Haus nochmals wählen.

Eine gemütliche und gut ausgeststattete Ferienunterkunft mit Sitzmöglichkeiten im Draußen. Ruhig gelegen, 5 Minuten fußläufig zum Ort mit Möglichkeiten zu Einkaufen. Die Bilder geben einen guten Eindruck wieder, was man nicht sieht, sind die sehr zuvorkommenden und gastfreundlichen Vermieter die alles tun, damit es ihren Gästen gut geht. Herzlichen Dank dafür. Esneux bietet sich als Standort für verschiedene Touren an, oder man sitzt bei gutem Wetter einfach im Garten oder an der Ourthe.Gerne wählen wir bei einem erneuten Aufenthalt am Tor zu den Ardennen wieder dieses Häuschen.

A lovely place to spend a week

We had a wonderful time here. The gite was really comfortable and well equipped. The only issue we had was the WIFI was not working well and most of the time it didn't work at all. The surrounding area was beautiful. We hadn't realised how beautiful this part of the country is. I would recommend this as place to stay.
