We really enjoyed this cabin. The owner was easy to get a hold of if needed. We enjoyed watching a mama bear and her three cubs that stayed around the cabin for two days. Would definitely like to stay there again!
My wife and I love the mountains and the cabins. Saw this place looking for us an anniversary getaway. We loved it! It wasn’t too far from town but it seamed like it was. Definitely stay there again! Thanks CT
We had a lovely time at this cozy cabin. Directions to the place were clear, check in was easy, communication with Karey was impeccable and the couches and bed are super comfy! The hot tub on the deck was nice after a busy day of exploring.
Great cabin and location (as long as it doesn’t snow). The hot tub was perfect temperature and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. Adequate space for 2 people.
The host was awesome in sending me door code 1 day before my trip started. The best part was the lactation of the cabin. The back porch faces the woods and had a great time and relaxed in the hot tub for hours. Cabin was super clean and the bed was the most comfortable bed ever. I would give more than 5 stars if I could…
Property was clean and neat, covered deck w/hot tub was perfect after our days exploring the national park. The shower was great good hot water and good water pressure too!!
Probably the best part was the bears, there was plenty to see in the area, we watched one for an afternoon foraging right behind the cabin. Overall a great stay and a great host!!!
Overall this cabin was amazing. It had a great location in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Words of advice, we had a big truck and there were times the winding road up to the cabin was a little challenging, make sure you drive slow and change gears if needed. The hot tub was a nice addition. I would stay here again without a second thought and felt that this was one of the best VRBO locations I have stayed at.
My wife and I stayed at this cabin recently, it was very clean and looked just like the pictures. It was the perfect size for the two of us for a long weekend. The hot tub was cleaned prior to our arrival and we used it daily. The bed was very comfortable and it's very quite at this cabin. The only negative I can think of and it has nothing to do with the cabin itself is the drive up the mountain at night can be a little challenging as it's very dark, the road twists and turns and has a couple steep uphill climbs. Overall it was a great cabin for our time away.
First time not seeing any bears on our trip, but Cozy Bear cabin made up for it by how comfortable and inviting it is!! Ceiling fans in each room to provide plenty of air circulation. Bed is extremely comfortable and the couches are REALLY nice for that afternoon nap.
We stayed here for Jeep Invasion and had nice, level parking at the cabin for my Jeep AND trailer.
The owner is extremely nice, GREAT communication throughout the entire process, AND answers with any questions extremely quick. We had ZERO issues!! Google Maps took us directly to the front door. We will definitely stay here again!
The Cozy Bear was about 10 minutes up the mountain pretty steep and curvy. The cabin is beautiful and very well taken care of, very clean. Karey spared no expense on the bedding or towels, they were lush. We spent a lot of time on the back deck which is high off the ground and surrounded by trees, it was serene. Everything about the cabin was really perfect for coupes. I just got engaged there and hope to spend many anniversaries in the future in the Cozy Bear!
Great cabin for 2 people. Have been to the area several times in the past. This time was just to enjoy the mountains. Cabin very clean. Hot tub was clean / felt great. The 2 couches in the living room were perfect for afternoon naps. Saw a mama bear and 3 cubs cross the road about a half mile from the cabin. Cabin worked great for our 4 night stay. Left relaxed and refreshed.
We truly enjoyed our week in this charming cabin. However, not all the repairs were finished. The hot tub jets only worked on low, and the fan over the bed did not work.
The cabin was clean and spacious. Close to attractions but far enough for quite and serenity. I would recommend everyone to come and stay at Cozy Bear cabin.
Me and my boyfriend had a great time staying at the cozy bear! It is the perfect size for 2!
Our favorite amenities were the pool table and the in room jacuzzi. The hot time was also fun, but definitely gets little dirty after a couple days of use.
We only had a problem with the internet being out once, but we let Karey know, and the issue was resolved as quickly as it could be. Karey always responded very soon after we texted her, great host!
While the cabin is decently private, you do have a neighbor next to you, and you can see the road from the back patio if you’re in the hot tub. That being said, if you are going swimsuit-less while the sun is out, be aware that there may be people walking on the road, and they could probably see you if they looked over😂!
Overall, I definitely recommend this cabin and would definitely consider rebooking in the future!
This place was amazing to stay at. Location was great. You could get anywhere quick.

We wanted a cabin that offered total privacy, with little to NO neighbors nearby, hence reason we the purchased the Cozy Bear! We love the Gatlinburg area and can be spotted around town shopping at the local artisan community, tipping a cold one at some of our favorite establishments or hiking the trails of Mt. LeConte. While we fell in love with the area for all it's offerings, and what we enjoy more than anything is the peace and serenity that this cabin provides. During the day "we could be anywhere in the world", but rest assured, we are at the cabin nightly having cocktails on deck by 5 p.m. listening to the creatures in the heavily wooded surroundings! This was bought for simple R&R of which we hope you'll also discover how sweet this cabin is!
Why they chose this property
We purchased this property after several years of renting cabins in the area. After renting countless cabins and never quite knowing what we would "get" with each rental, we decided to buy a cabin that offers all the luxury we expect when staying in the Smokys. The Cozy Bear is a private secluded retreat that's just over 10 minutes from stop light #1 in Gatlinburg, with a majority of the trip navigating the winding roads up and down the mountain.
What makes this property unique
Great room style offers single level luxury with no stairs.
