About this property

The Pailhot de Combret (Cévennes)

You will stay in the old barn (pailhot) of a typical Cévennes farm recently restored, the exposed framework and the shale stone walls give an authentic and rustic charm to this gîte. The house is located in a small calm and serene hamlet away from the main roads, surrounded by nature (forest, stream) just 6 km from Villefort.
You will reach it by an independent entrance from the rest of the house on one level with an enclosed courtyard of 50 m2 which is reserved for you, very sunny and equipped with garden furniture. From the south side windows you will enjoy a beautiful view of the mountain opposite and the owners' small flower garden below.
To reach the house from the village street you will have to descend a 'calade' for 20 m. Good shoes recommended! Sportsmen and fishermen can take their equipment down there: a small room (old 'clède') is available to them at the back of the courtyard.

Très beau gite dans cette grange rénovée. Logement tout confort, rien ne manque et tout est de qualité. Les propriétaires viennent chercher nos bagages à l'entrée du hameau car l'accès en voiture est compliqué et sont charmants et à l'écoute. A réserver aux personnes valides car l'accès au gite est un peu délicat et aux amoureux de la nature Environnement magnifique avec le lac de Villefort et le mont Lozère. Bref, très bon rapport qualité prix. A conseiller

Excellent séjour

Gîte de caractère dans un hameau typique de Lozère, très calme. Parfait pour 2, bien équipé et aménagé, très bien placé pour explorer la région. Très bon accueil sur place. Juste un petit point à améliorer : la wifi installée très récemment donnait un accès assez aléatoire. Séjour à renouveler sans hésitation !

Endroit magnifique, zen et chaleureux! Un nid douillet et rempli de charmes

L'habitation est pratique en tout point, tout autour il y a de grandes et belles balades à faire, le lac de Villefort est naturel, entouré de multiples végétations c'est un régal pour les yeux. Le village de Combret est un hameau calme, serein, rempli de bonnes énergies. Les propriétaire sont comme leur patrimoine, accueillants, discrets, de très bonnes personnes. J'ai adoré le charme et la chaleur que dégagent les pierres de la maison, prendre le petit déjeuné dans le jardin un peu plus haut, regardant un panorama grandiose, pour les amoureux de la nature!

Simple, charming, very quiet.

While we enjoyed our week in the cottage we felt the owner's description was a little misleading. Apart from two small windows with net curtains there were no views of the lovely countryside and the small courtyard, enclosed in high stone walls, had very little sun. (This might be welcome in high summer). Access is really quite challenging, down a very uneven, stony path, and luggage had to be carried/wheeled 200 yds. The nearest restaurant, in Altier, was 5km away but very good. The town of Villefort for all shopping (even bread) was at least 8km. The cottage was comfortable for two of us, clean, and well appointed, but we think it would be very cramped for the advertised five.

Une réussite pour nos 1ères vacances en famille!

Quelle bonne idée avons-nous eu de venir passer une semaine à Combret! Calme, tranquillité, fraîcheur, nature, charcuterie.... Rajoutons à tout ça la gentillesse de Cendrine et François, véritables historiens de la région de Villefort, qui ont participé à ce très agréable séjour.... Je crois que nous serions bien rester une semaine de plus!! Pour les amoureux de la nature, pour ceux qui recherchent un coin de tranquillité, vous avez trouvé ici le lieu idéal! Merci encore pour votre accueil et peut-être à l'an prochain!

trés beau séjour

nous avons passé un très bon séjour entre la Lozère l'Ardèche et le Gard. Le gîte est très joli et très fonctionnel. La proximité du Lac de Villefort (magnifique) est vraiment un atout surtout lorsqu'on vient avec des enfants. La région est splendide et l’accueil très sympathique.

Gîte à recommander pour couple amateur de nature

Logement très fonctionnel idéal pour couple et propriétaires très sympathiques. La configuration des pièces est très bien faite et les finitions sont bien réalisées. Une touche provençale est visible dans la déco. Les petites voitures sont très recommandées pour accéder au logement.

SUPER LOCATION

Pour les amoureux de la nature et du calme!!!! La région est riche en randonnées. Location très sympathique à l'écart du bruit et de la foule. Rien ne manque et la location était soignée. Propriétaires sympathiques. Attention voiture indispensable!!!!
