Our family wanted to go to a sweet cabin in the woods and this property was more than what we expected! So quiet, peaceful and beautiful manicured for lots of sitting with and without a fire.
Great place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the real world. My wife and I stayed a night for our anniversary and had a wonderful experience. The cabin was clean and comfortable and the area is beautiful. Plenty of seating available inside and out. Hosts are extremely nice and the communication was flawless. Will definitely be going back for a longer stay!
Property was a perfect mix of old rustic charm and modern amenities. Built from reclaimed material with antique accents, it has the feel of a 19th century cabin, but with electric appliances, wifi and satellite tv! Plenty of trails through the woods for a low-impact hike. The surroundings were beautiful in September, I can only imagine what its like as the leaves change. Hope to be able to return in the future.
My husband and I loved this property to celebrate our anniversary. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The hosts are so kind and provide everything you need.
Our family of 5 visited the Tinmann Retreat for a short weekend getaway. The property is absolutely beautiful. Our host was warm and welcoming just like the cabin. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will visit again in the future.
Such a beautiful property and kind host and hostess! We had a great time at the Tinman Cabin and hope to be back. It is even more beautiful than can be captured in pictures. No noise but the sounds of the birds and insects. Very clean cabin all to ourselves, along with a pool. Would recomend staying for more than one night. We only stayed one and wished we had stayed for longer!
Love this peaceful place in the woods. Cabin is perfect. Clean and cozy. The property is beautiful. Loved waking up to the sounds of the forest. Owner is really friendly and helpful. If you need to unplug for a bit, this is the spot. Highly recommend!
Clean, Beautiful, and overall comfortable and relaxing. Great for a break from your everday and from the heat. Their pool is fantastic for hot days and the house itself stays cool and comfortable.
Had an absolutely AMAZING stay this past weekend!! FIRST OFF, we arrived later than expected due to an earlier birthday celebration, and Mrs. Anderman not only greeted us upon arrival, she also gave my fiancé a complimentary bottle of wine!!!
The cabin was IMMACULATE and ultra-comfy (I could've slept in that bed all day)! The pool temp was perfect. We only left the property once, and that was bc my fiancé wanted to go fishing (and Mr. Anderman gave us the location of nearby Clearsprings Lake).
A perfect getaway (and we can't wait to come back during the Fall)!!!
The cabin was beautiful, clean, and had all of the utensils needed to cook our meals. We have learned to come prepared for MS cabin trips with everything that we will want to eat and drink, and I would recommend the same here as it is remote. It was unbelievably hot (just the time of year), but, man, that pool was a game changer and where we spent most of our time! Would totally stay again.

Beautiful surrounds but roaches were challenge to say the least
The grounds were beautiful and very relaxing. Now on to the cabin - upon arrival there were roaches everywhere in the kitchen. Even going up the side of the coffee pot that had not been emptied after the last use.
I was in the need for a quick little getaway with some peace, quietness, and tranquility. The Tinmann Retreat is the perfect combination of these three elements. The house was clean, warm and inviting as soon as you walked in. Just sitting out on the back porch and listening to the babble of the creek and the wind blowing through the trees was an instant relief of the stress and anxiety of life. The host were extremely friendly. You can really tell that the host wanted to allow their guest the luxury of being able to slip away from the every day chaos and stress of life and to be able to just relax and absorb the tranquility of their place! The only regret that I have is that I did not stay longer. But I will be back. Thank you Ken and Beth!
This cabin is off the beaten trail, far into the woods. It is charming and comfortable, completely set up for any need a person could have. We have family in the area, so we were in and out, but next time we will plan to stay and just enjoy the serene setting. If you want to get away from the craziness of daily life, this is your answer! The hosts are amazing. Enjoy!!
I actually didn’t get to stay at the property, but Ken was a dream to communicate with and work with. He answered quickly and I will book with him again when possible.
Ken and Beth have two of the biggest hearts in Roxie.
The quiet and stillness of this beautiful cabin allowed me to reconnect with nature and with my inner child.
Not once did I feel like a renter around these amazing people, I felt like a long lost friend that was welcomed with love.
Can't wait to return to Tinmann Retreat.
