Fantastic
Our first time in Tunisia and first time we've used this site to reserve accomodation and I have to say Fantasic on both counts.
The accomodation was almost perfect. Clean, well maintained, excellent location and correct size for family of four (2x Adults, 1xchild, 1xinfant.
The owners picked our family from the airport and also dropped us off, for which we were very grateful as the initial entry into a new country is always stressful. After that, the owners gave us a brief induction and we were then left to our own "devices".
The first night the Air con unit in the bedroom broke, however the owners remedied that the very next day and after that we had no further issues.
In regards to the accomodation, in the kitchen a kettle and a toaster would've been handy (something to think about for future guests), other than it was perfect for our needs.
A landline as provided and also internet. (Note: If Internet access is essential, it is rated at approximately 3mbps and has a tendency to cut out once in a while (a router reboot resolves that) For Tunisia it might be considered high speed, but if you're coming from some parts of UK/US or other parts of europe, its sub 3G speeds.)
There is enough storage space in the property to put away clothes etc. however one thing which does need looking at is hooks/door hangers to hang things off.
A minor issue, Lighting/bulbs also need looking at as some were not working.
The property is located in an up and coming area, adjacent to Tunisia Mall. In this case, up and coming means, there's a lot of construction work going on in the vicinity. This means if you're after good views, i'm afraid this is not the property for you.
Being so close to Tunisia Mall means
1) Its a fixed point for Taxis to pickup/drop off. You just tell them Berg de lac II Tunisia Mall and they will know.
2) A grocery store (Carefour). We picked up quite a bit of items during our stay. Vegetables, bread, eggs etc. Note: Foreign items like Chocoateetc are priced extortionately high so I would avoid getting those as they cost more than their £$ equivelant. Local chocs and goodies are a good compromise.
The Mall is ok!!. It has some places to eat, Pizza hut and a a number of shops, but I would not say its all that they make it out to be.
Thank you for allowing us to stay at your wonderful place and hopefully by the time we visit next all the outside work (not apartment related) will be finished.
Kind regards
Mohammed and Family.
