Home needed better to be cleaned. Dirty carpet, kitchen is outdated, kitchenware was dirty.

I would not stay here again.

Just as expected

We had a wonderful time at Nicks place. He was friendly and responsive. The location is nice and quiet. We didn’t mind the 10 minute drive to town. Some places never really seem clean, but you could tell (and smell) that this place was clean. We had lots of fun with the pool table and record player. We spent ample time on the front deck, morning and night. The only suggestions I could make would be adding some amenities like shampoo/conditioner, coffee and nicer toilet paper. We will definitely consider staying here again.

Spacious, comfortable home with beautiful views.

We spent time here with family friends and had a terrific experience. Nick is approachable and thoughtful, and quick to respond to anything we needed. The house is perfect for families- especially when you have young children. We had so much fun having snowball fights and sledding on the property, that we really didn’t need to go anywhere else to enjoy the Mountain.

Wonderful family mountain house with majestic views!

We had two families with small children (8 people total) share this wonderful mountain house over the 4th of July holiday! Nick, the owner was extremely attentive and very responsive to all our questions. The house is fully-stocked with everything you need to prepare family-style meals (except a cheese grater). It was clean, with a huge comfortable living room and had spacious decks which hosted gorgeous views of the mountains. There were ample board games to play and lots of extra blankets, towels, beach chairs to use- which was helpful. We had a crawling baby in tow- so the multi-levels were a bit tricky for us, since we couldn’t get the provided baby gates to work sufficiently. All in all, we had a wonderful mountain getaway in this lovely home and can’t wait to return!

Great place to stay... lots of room!

Had a great time at the cabin! Nick was very responsive and helpful. Cabin was neat and clean, warm and cozy. Lots of room for big families. One minor thing, though: there were lots of snow when we came in and the driveway was covered. It was difficult to clear the driveway, especially for 3 vehicles to fit (no street parking by law). The shovels could use an upgrade as well. Other than that, great overall experience! Thanks Nick!

Family friendly Home

This was a great home for our whole family and two dogs. The family room is a fabulously large space where we all gathered, played games, watched movies and enjoyed the fireplace. The kitchen table is large enough to seat us all - so nice! The owner, Nick, more than accommodated our requests and responded promptly to my communications. Everything was clean and ready for us. it is definitely a home we would return to when we visit Big Bear again.

Cozy, comfortable and beautiful cabin to stay. Would rent it back :)

My husband and I, along with a family group of 10 total stayed at this cabin to spend new year's in Big Bear. The owner, Nick was always very nice, professional and fast at responding with any inquires we had. We received an email the day before with all the instructions, FAQs and tips to consider before getting there. That was very helpful. The place has beautiful views, the cabin is big, clean, comfortable, the living room area is super cozy, kitchen is big enough to have 3-4 people cooking/prepping. Lots of board games to play with, book, pool table, cable, internet, etc. The rooms are a little small, but yet comfortable. The deck area is super nice for grilling, even in the cold :) Our 2 dogs (a Labrador and Golden Retriever) were the happiest, running/playing in the areas outside around the house. We would definitely rent it back. We were very please with our stay.

Amazing Thanksgiving Weekend!

We shared the house with my aunt (she and I are both from Buffalo) We were hoping for snow for our California families and our wishes were granted. Views from the house were incredible. We got to watch the snow on the mountainside as we cooked Thanksgiving dinner and the next day...big fat snowflakes fell! They have a smoker, so were were able to smoke one turkey and roast the other. The huge living room was super comfortable for us to all hang out and watch movies after dinner. Finally, my girls loved sledding right in the backyard! It really is a magical place, that we hope to return to very soon!

I'm married with a toddler and a baby on the way. I grew up in Oregon so this cabin is a little touch of home. This is not just a rental for us - it's our home away from home. We put a great deal of care and love into it and I'm sure you'll be feel as comfortable here as we do!

Why they chose this property

I grew up in Oregon, so getting back to nature is a must for me and my family. We looked at 80 cabins before we chose this one. We wanted Upper Moonridge for the better chances of snow, views, a flat back yard for the kids, off street parking since it's illegal to park on the street when the snow plows are running, and curb appeal. You can see why it took so long for us to find all this in one place. But we got it! And so much more.

What makes this property unique

There is no house built on the lot next door. It's just a large open forrest. So not only is it beautiful, but we have a lot of privacy. It's hard to see any neighbors out the windows.
