Village Stage Coach House by Covered Bridge

Welcome to our family-friendly home on the Mad River in Warren Village. Shed your gear in the large mudroom before entering the spacious country kitchen. The cozy family room adjoins the kitchen and is filled with comfortable seating, a fireplace and lots of light from large windows offering generous views. Later, enjoy a drink in the hot tub that sits above the river.
This tastefully renovated and antique-filled former stage coach house in Warren Village steps from the covered bridge sleeps 11 - great for 2-3 families - whether it's for skiing or a wedding or hanging out in a very comfy VT home. Only a five minute walk to the Warren Store and Pitcher Inn, 10 minutes to the prettiest hiking trail in Warren by Lincoln Brook and a 10 minute drive to Sugarbush and Waitsfield, this warm, inviting home includes hardwood floors, comfortable furnishings, a large flat screen TV and a large kitchen and dining area.
The dream custom kitchen has a harvest table that seats 8-12 with another five seats at the kitchen bar and overlooks a beautiful stretch of the Mad River. The large mudroom can store plenty of skis, boards, boots and inner tubes. And the laundry and powder rooms are conveniently located off the kitchen.
A cozy den with a large flat screen TV leads to the large, first floor master bedroom with en suite bathroom.
On the second floor there are three antique filled bedrooms (one with bunk beds, another which is a second floor master with a queen bed and another with a single bed) and a bathroom with double sinks and a shower. On the third floor are two bedrooms, one with a set of twins and a third floor master with a queen bed. All of the bedrooms have wall to wall carpet.

Historic Home

A wonderful house in Waren Village. Having grown up in house built in 1729 I appreciated the experience and history of this home.Easy access to Mad River Glen and the rest of the Mad River Valley.

Magical Weekend at The Bush

A wonderful cozy house 10 minutes from the mountain. Lots of character. Very comfortable accommodations. And a very hot hot tub which is always welcome after a day of skiing. The owners Jack and Jean are very accommodating and our interaction with them was very pleasant. Couldn’t ask for a better place for a long weekend away.

Great Getaway Weekend with Friends

We loved the house, this was our second time staying here for our annual Sugarbush trip. We enjoyed the hot tub and kitchen is good for large family style meals. Would love to come back in the Summer, house has great outdoor space & patio on the Mad River glen

Wonderful Vermont Getaway

We came to ski in Vermont at sugarbush and got two lovely days of skiing. Along with really enjoying this cozy home. The house is well decorated and we had a lot of fun counting the themed antiques. The hot tub was a total plus since it was a very cold. The beds and bedding were also some of the best I've stayed in a VRBO! Walking into warren and meeting Rita at the gallery was a highlight. Along with being so close to waitsfield for the breweries. Thank you for sharing your lovely scenic home.

Family Ski Trip

The house has a great set up for a larger group- we were 11 people. Kitchen is fully equipped & has a big table so all of us could sit around the table for dinner together. Location was ideal for its proximity to the quaint town & Sugarbush mountain. The only drawback would be is if you are a tall group of people, the upstairs bedrooms have low ceilings & it would be ideal if the single bedrooms had queen size mattresses instead of full. Otherwise, we all had a wonderful time & enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend staying here.

Wonderful place to spend Christmas

This is a beautiful old coach house by the river in the quaint village of Warren. The house was all that we could have wished for over the festive period. It has been lovingly restored and is packed full of antiques from the vermont areas and the house had all the facilities we could have wanted. It is only 8 minutes drive from Sugarbush ski slopes, 5 mins walk into Warren and has good access to some of the local towns as well I would strongly recommended this as a base for skiing or other outdoor activities in the spring, summer The kids loved sledding in the garden

Warm and cozy house, great location

A wonderful house perfectly situated, backing onto the mad river. Well stocked and warm. The house is full of antiques and collectibles, so be aware if you have young children. We had recurring issues with the hot tub; we had multiple calls and someone came out to fix it but it would only work for an hour before it stopped working again. Overall, though, we were very happy.

Well Kept House in Warren

This is a well kept house with a lot of character. The kitchen is modern and well furnished. It does not lack for cookware! The kitchen is main gathering area in the house and where our small group spent a good portion of our time. Three bedrooms are good for adults and three bedrooms are kid sized, so it is perfect for three couples + kids. Four couples could be pushing it. The hot tub is a fun amenity and having the river in back adds to the scenery. I'm sure it's fun in the summer too. Overall a great experience; the house feels "lived in", not like your typical rental. Very welcoming and well stocked!

Wonderful Ski Weekend House

We spent our Sugarbush ski weekend here and the house was perfect for our group! Loved the hot tub and porch that overlooked the stream. Would love to come back in the summer. One word of caution, the house parking can only fit 3 vehicles so if you have 4-5 cars you'll need to carpool a minute down the street to public parking.

Great Experience

The farmhouse was a perfect fit for our group! We made all of our meals on site, and the kitchen had everything you would possibly needed. Plenty of sleeping options, and everything was sparkling clean. Highly recommend the farmhouse. I would love to visit in summer as well when river is running, and to enjoy the great views from the deck. House instructions were complete, and easy to follow.

Excellent Ski House

Had a great time staying here for a late season ski weekend! Jack is a great host and was very communicative, like when we had some issues with the hot tub he sent someone over right away. Plenty of space for everyone, the house was very inviting. Definitely would stay here again!

Quaint but Disappointing

The house is cozy, well stocked, and wonderfully located. However, the cleaners left a dirty house with dust, a fireplace full of ash and food in the fridge. Additionally, clutter in the mudroom and the kitchen were not represented in the photos and prevented us from fully unpacking our ski gear and food. The owners clothes remained in half the master bedroom drawers and their toiletries in the bathroom cabinet. We were billed as demanding renters by the manager but we consider it reasonable to call when things were broken like the internet, phone line, electric heater, hot tub and an overflowing trash bin. While we came back well rested, we feel this home was overpriced.

Beautiful riverside home

We loved staying at Jack & Jean's Warren house. The house is beautiful and quintessential Vermont. The view from the hot tub is stunning. Beds were comfortable. We'd love to stay again soon!

Great house in great location

Beautiful home - The pictures for this property don’t do it justice. The hot tub overlooks the river and all of the outdoor furniture is very inviting. We had a few families staying at the house and there was ample space We’re already hoping to come back and stay here again !
