Luxury Living In The Peaceful Adirondacks

Situated on the Adirondack Lake this cabin built in 2006 features a luxury cabin experience. 4 bedrooms with either full, queen, or king bed and 3 full bathrooms. The basement is finished with a pull out sofa, wood burning stove, and laundry. The kitchen is updated with a full size refrigerator, microwave, stove, and dishwasher. Kitchen has an open concept plan to the large living room with picturesque views of the lake. A large deck with seating and a barbecue grill overlooks the beautiful views.

Indian Lake is home to 300 miles of hiking trails, and 8 lakes for fishing and boating. White water rafting is available on the Hudson River. The Cedar River Golf Course is open seasonally, just a 10 minute drive away. Winter is a great time to take advantage of the miles of snowmobiling trails, skiing at Gore Mountain, or showshoeing and cross country skiing on the trails. Plenty of local restaurants open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Call of the Loons

Enchanting lakeside home was a restful respite from the everyday hustle and worries I've been dealing with. A break from the summer heat was exhilarating, the people of Indian Lake are warm and inviting. My favorite memories will be sharing the early morning sunrises with the Loons and Eagles down by the lake.

Wonderful lake house

This was our second time staying at this beautiful home. The property is in excellent condition with everything we needed. The waterfront area is perfect for young children and the lake is beautiful. The owner was immediately responsive to any questions or need.

Wonderful location and beautiful home

This was our 3rd year here. It’s a beautiful place and our family loves everything about it. The dam is being rebuilt this year so the water level was down, but that made a perfect play area for the toddler in our family! Great swimming area for little ones. The house is well equipped and all of the rooms are very comfortable.

Fabulous property, great host

The house is fabulous, just as it looks in the pictures - very comfortable and welcoming layout and furnishings, great views. We were there in early spring to see the eclipse (it was spectacular) so I can't comment on the lake, but it looks like it would be great for water activities in the summer. The host was exceptionally responsive and communicative.

Great find!

We had a great time for our family weekend getaway. We loved being right on the water and the fire pit. Some things to note- the kitchen pans are older. If you plan on doing all of your cooking at the house, maybe bring your own. If you plan on going out to eat (a few restaurants near by), then no worries! There were a lot of fruit flies in the kitchen and some throughout the house. John was very easy to communicate with.

Great Adirondack Get Away

This was our first Adirondack vacation experience and we had a great time. The house is lovely and has magnificent views of the lake. We brought kayaks, which I would highly recommend, so you can explore the many natural coves and islands and get up close with the loons. We had a great time and would recommend this house to others.

Amazing lake house

The house was gorgeous and immaculate! The host provided linens and towels that were in excellent condition. The host also provided wood for the fire we made by the lake one night, and gas for the wonderful grill. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. The house was spotless when we arrived. We had one issue (that turned out to be our oversight) and the host responded immediately! The house has excellent access to beautiful Adirondack lake. We hope to return again next year. A great find!

Great stay!

This is the 3rd year renting this property and it doesn’t disappoint. Awesome view and cozy Adirondack feel. Beds are very comfortable, plenty of firewood and chairs to sit outside. The water access is nice and gradual which is great for kids. Enjoyed every minute of our stay!

Good rental for a family

The cabin was located right in the lake . It was large and accommodated our family nicely. Unfortunately, the kitchen was dirty and the dishes and cooking tools were old and I was uncomfortable cooking with them. It really needs to be updated especially the primary bedroom in the first floor.

Perfect Getaway

We spent our first weeklong vacation in 7 years at this house and it did not disappoint. I couldn’t decide if the view of the lake or of the house was prettier! Quiet, friendly neighborhood, gorgeous lake and fire pit, and the house had all you needed for a comfortable stay!

Lake Life is the Best!

The property had everything we needed and was child friendly. The shallow water and sandy beach made for great days on the lake. The fire pit and picnic table down by the water were great for evening campfires. Plenty of parking and easy access to the water.

Great 4th of July Weeknd

We really enjoyed our stay in Indian Lake. The house is beautiful inside and out. It was perfect for our two families. Lots of space! The outdoor area is great and the views of lake are fantastic. Our kids really enjoyed swimming in the lake and fishing off the dock! The fire pit was a nice bonus and great for S’mores. We would definitely stay again!! We made lots of great memories here!!!

Amazing House

My family (myself - husband - my brother - his wife & nephew) all had a great time! This house is beautiful - 4 BRS and 3 FULL baths - loved all the windows in the LR - amazing view right on the lake! The house was spotless - easy check-in - great communication with the homeowner - quick and responsive - even allowed us to check in a little earlier than 4 PM (it was a 4 hour ride for us). Caught a couple large mouth bass. The weather was not in our favor the few days we were there (rain and high winds - tough for fishing) but we made the best of it and still had a great time. We were able to use the Fire Pit one night and the picnic table down by the water is a plus. I would absolutely recommend this house to anyone - I only wish it were a lot closer for me. The only things I could possibly comment on negatively is the towels - could use a fresh new set of towels throughout. I believe someone else had posted that same comment. Most of us brought our own towels so it did not matter. Overall - Fantastic vacation spot!

Great Property!

We had a great stay here! The property has a beautiful view and wall of windows facing Adirondack Lake. The property manager was extraordinarily responsive and helped us get out of a bind with a stuck vehicle. The unit itself is clean, well maintained, roomy, with a nicely sized kitchen and multiple areas to hang out. Don’t hesitate to book this unit.

Comfortable clean house in the Adirondacks

The house was the perfect location close to skiing and winter hiking. Beautiful views of the lake. Clean comfortable house. Would rent again.

2nd time stay not necessarily a charm…

Although the location and surroundings are serene, the cabin is still lacking. It has the potential to be a 5 star however the lack of attention to detail draws your attention to look closer and requires valuable vacation time to clean and bring the living arrangements up to par. I wrote this review as we encountered the same deficiencies as last year. Lights out, dirty ceiling fan, windows over-due of a cleaning, oven dirty, microwave dirty, towels and wash cloths tattered and floors dusty/dirty. We were assured of sufficient supply of firewood for our duration however that was clearly not the case. As one other review had indicated it appears as this place is rented often and very little preventative maintenance performed in between stays. If a little dust and lack of upkeep doesn’t bother you, this place may be for you. After looking closer at the area there are other properties that may be desirable. You don’t mind spending the money however there is a level of expectation and disappointingly this establishment fell short….a second time.

Leaves Changing

We wanted to see the leaves change and chose the Adirondack's as the location. Our timing was perfect and the home was in a great spot. We used it as a launching point for our daily activities. We went hiking nearby, to Ausable Chasm (we caught them on their last day of the season - check before you go), Lake Placid, and a few other local towns. We found the house clean and well stocked. The fireplace and fire pit were used daily and both worked out well. We enjoyed our stay.

I travelled here almost 40 years ago on business and I have been hooked ever since. We bought this piece of property as a vacation home and been coming ever since with my family. We have made many memories here, and as I am getting older I am not able to visit as often as I would like so we decided to start renting it out.

Why they chose this property

This is a beautiful place to visit, really gives you the cabin feel with modern amenities. It is a place to 'get away from it all' and spend time with family and friends. There are plenty of things to do each season from boating, to skiing, to hiking, to just relaxing.

What makes this property unique

The deck is a wonderful place to watch out over the lake and see wildlife. The views are breathtaking!
