The open living / dining room has large windows that look out to Newbury St. and the Prudential Center.

The master bedroom has a queen size bed and luxurious en-suite master bath with stand-up marble shower.

The second bedroom has a queen size bed and a similar marble stand-up shower.

Two spacious closets with hangers and iron complete each bedroom.

The Neighborhood

Centrally located in Boston's historic Back Bay on Gloucester Street between Newbury and Boylston St., our apartment sits steps away from the Hynes Convention Center, the Shops at the Prudential Center and Copley Place Mall, and the boutiques of Newbury and Boylston Street. Our historic Back Bay brownstone is located only a few blocks from the serene Boston Commons and Public Gardens, the Charles River Esplanade, the Boston Public Library, historic Beacon Hill, and the Freedom Trail.

Getting around

The Back Bay neighborhood sits on land reclaimed from water in the mid-nineteenth century. Unlike many other Boston neighborhoods, the Back Bay was laid out in a grid pattern and was based on French urban planning with parks and wide boulevards. The major shopping streets are Newbury Street and Boylston Street in Back Bay and Charles Street and Cambridge Street in Beacon Hill. The former is connected to the Prudential Center and Copley Place malls. Commuter Rail, Amtrak and Orange Line MBTA service are available at Back Bay station. Back Bay Station is a major intermodal center, and with Amtrak service, connects Back Bay to points well beyond Boston, including, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington D.C. The main transit service in the Back Bay is the Green Line central subway, with several stops along Boylston Street, including the Hynes Convention Center (Newbury St. & Mass Ave.) and Copley (Boylston St. & Dartmouth St.) stops.

Lovely Boston Apartment

Host is accommodating and full of great local tips. Self check-in is simple and well-organized. The space is comfortable and functional. The location is fantastic, we were able to walk everywhere. There are many great places to eat and drink within steps of the apartment. We were four adults and had plenty of space. Highly recommend staying in this property to enjoy and explore Boston.

Great place, great location

We loved this place! It was beautifully done, everything worked, and the location was unbeatable. Easy to walk or take the T to everything we wanted to see, and grocery stores very close by. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment was perfect- super clean, exactly as pictured, secure, and couldn’t have been in a better location in Back Bay. They were even able to accommodate our early check-in. Had a question about the blinds and Jason answered my text super fast. We loved our stay.

4 Nights in Boston during the holidays 2019

We stayed in Jason's 2 bed apartment kn Gloucester st, having stayed in the 3 bed last year. Both are equally well appointed, and this year the 2 bed was ideal for our family of 4. The location is Position "A" for exploring Back-Bay, Beacon Hill and Boston in general. All the amenities are provided in the aprtment, it's a really smart place to base yourself if you're thinking of visiting. Jason runs a proffesional operation and everying went smoothly. Would definitely return again if staying in Boston.

Stay at 46 Gloucester Street Back Bay: Excellent in all aspects

The accommodation was as described on the website. Two reasonable BDRs, one en-suite and additional full seperate bathroom. The lounge and kitchen combo was well equipped. Microwave, full-size gas cooking, Keureg coffee maker, all cutlery required. Two TVs with all content. Great heating. Good and welcoming decor in the lounge. Jason Post ( host) is very easily contactable. The PDF of instructions is detailed. There is also a list of tourist things to tick off. The location is very convenient to major shopping and eating places and a few metres from the Haynes convention centre. We were 4 family members for three days and did not at all feel cramped. Highly recommended. A bit on pricy side compared to a few other larger apartments on the Homestay site, but We were happy with the overall value.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Short walk to the T and lots of great restaurants. Trader Joe’s was just a quick step around the corner for some quick items and snacks. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was clean and well appointed. Very lovely home and we felt like we experienced Boston like a local. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great Stay!

This property suited our stay wonderfully! Very clean, conveniently located & secure. Two bathrooms was great! We also thought the wine & coffee were a great touch. I would like to suggest another comfortable chair near the couch. After a long day of walking, it was tough for 2-3 of us to all relax comfortably around each other. The location was excellent for shopping. We also found decent food nearby at Atlantic Fish. I will say, the only big surprise here was how noisy the area can be early in the morning. We were getting up early anyway to see all the sites but waking up to trucks, horns & banging wasn’t great. It made it tough to have the windows open. All in all however, this place was wonderful & we would highly recommend!

Their towels and bedding are so soft and comfortable, it truly feels like home. Thank you again for sharing your apartment with us!

Great Location!

Working with Jason was easy. He was quick to respond to emails, texts, and accommodated an early check-in for us. The apartment was clean and well kept, and in a terrific location in Back Bay. We were able to walk to lots of shopping and restaurants. The street noise is loud and you can certainly hear it in the apartment, but I think that is to be expected in this location and in an older building. It helped that one of the bedrooms had a white noise machine which cancelled out most of the street noise. The second bedroom is very small and has no windows, so airflow was very limited. Overall, we enjoyed our time in Boston and our stay at this apartment.

So many things about this apartment are amazing. The location is perfect. You are literally between Boylston and Newbury Street. Walking distance to everything. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable. I was there with my girlfriend and our daughters and we had plenty of room. The owner, Jason, is on top of his game. Luxuriöse Wohnung in pulsierender Nachbarschaft

IDEAL spot - It created the feeling of living in the Back Bay area - close to everything

I've been to Boston many times, but this was the first time for pleasure. We scheduled college visits and wanted to get the "feel" of living in Boston, so we chose to rent an apt. vs. stay in a hotel. This place was ideal - it has two bedrooms and two bathrooms - plus we used the blow-up mattress in living room. The bathrooms each had pedestal sinks so no counter space; however, each bathroom had mirrored medicine cabinets with plenty of room for toiletries. The closets in each bedroom were roomy; however, there wasn't a hall closet - I would add more hooks or coat rack for coats. Maybe additional hooks on back of all bathroom/bedroom doors too. Kitchen had essentials - microwave and toaster oven plus K-cup coffee maker. I really liked sitting at the table and looking out the bay window. this apartment is on the second floor so it was nice to be elevated; however you do have to climb narrow stairs to get to apartment. But it is manageable; adds to the charm :) And we needed the coats, scarves and gloves on this trip. We came in from Texas over spring break and experienced a blizzard that dumped 17 inches of snow on Boston. My 16 yr old son loved it! He walked down to Commonwealth avenue (the main street with a park in the middle...) and made snow angles and snowmen. The city had all the streets and sidewalks cleared by the next morning - only challenge was crossing the roads - you had to step over large snow piles. This location is in the perfect spot - between Newbury and Boylston Streets - you are a stones throw from the end of the Boston Marathon finish line (it is painted on the street). The Prudential bldg with its Skywalk Observatory is 1/2 a block away along with a huge shopping mall. There is a Trader Joe's on the corner...which was PACKED the night before the blizzard - but I think they were opened the day of too! And Copley Place is a couple of blocks away. We saw many college students returning from their spring break on Newbury Street eating at the Shake Shack. The T (mass transit) station is close by - we used this a lot -- but also walked a lot. We walked from the Back Bay area to the downtown area, then took the T back. Boston is easy to walk - no hills. The Green T line was taken out of service so we had to walk from Boston University (on Commonwealth) over to Northeastern Univ (walked ~ 1.5 miles) - went right by Fenway Park and thru the Back Bay Fens (beautiful park area). I would stay here again!

Both my wife and I, along with my parents, are long-time Back Bay residents, now living at different ends of Marlborough Street (Mass Ave. and Dartmouth St., respectively) and we are easily able to accommodate any unique requests. Additionally, my mother's residential real estate office, Meridian Realty Group, is located on the ground floor of our Gloucester Street brownstone / townhouse, facilitating easy communication and immediate assistance with any issues. Prior to my current job at an investment consulting and advisory firm, where I focus on identifying top-tier real estate managers for our clients to invest in, I worked for a small firm managing a Saudi Prince's hotel investments across North America and Europe. We managed his interests in the Four Seasons and Fairmont management/operating companies, as well as oversaw his investments in several trophy properties, most notably, NYC's The Plaza, A Fairmont Managed Hotel; The Fairmont San Francisco; Paris' Four Seasons Hotel George V; and London's The Savoy, A Fairmont Managed Hotel. I have taken the same approach we took at my previous firm to managing our personal real estate investments, by providing exceptional service combined with fantastic accommodations in prime locations. If you stay with us during the summer months, we'd love to take you out on our 50-ft yacht for a complimentary afternoon sail and lunch (catered by a restaurant / bar we own) around the Boston Harbor. Also feel free to inquire about special rates on massages and one-on-one personal training sessions at businesses my father runs on Hanover St. in Boston's Quincy Market / Faneuil Hall area (Bodywaves and Fitness Together).
