Fantastic digs in Upper Haight
Perfect, peaceful location in a classic SF townhouse with character and convenience. Very close to Golden Gate Park, shopping & restaurants on Haight St and several Muni bus lines. Logistics of arrival were very easy, and the apartment is equipped with everything we could think of for a great stay.

Great digs
This apartment was conveniently located to transit, grocery stores and restaurants. Although Haight St. Is abuzz with activity the apartment was very quiet being off of the Main Street. It has all the amenities of home. Unfortunately we did not get to meet Tina but she was easy to get in touch with by telephone or text.

Perfect location!
Stylishly appointed, yet cozy and welcoming, this condo is in the heart of the action, two blocks off of Haight. It served as a great home base for us! The neighborhood is the true "painted lady" example, safe and quiet. Great restaurants and shops, plus easy access to many forms of transportation. We did not rent a car and never felt we needed one.
The bed is the most comfortable I've ever had while traveling. Plenty of room plus all the top end basics made our stay a joy. Would highly recommend it .

great location
A cosy and relaxing flat. Beautifully decorated with anything you might need. Furniture lovely but not too comfortable. Bathroom not on flat but across the hallway I thought that would be a problem but it worked out fine. I would book again!

well located & quiet
We were surprised to find this place to be so quiet. It is so close to the active Haight. It is also not far from the quaint shops and restaurants in Cole Valley. The kitchen appears small in the pictures but is more than adequate but completely unnecessary with the availability of great prepared food and restaurants within close walking distance. Public transportation and Zip Cars are nearby. Parks are a quick walk. The place was spotless and well supplied with towels and robes. The neighbor is delightful. We will definitely stay again.

Perfect place
The place was perfect for me. It was located 6 blocks away from my son's place. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was very comfortable. I had everything I needed. The bathroom across the hall was not a problem at all. Felt very safe which was important since I was traveling alone this trip. The backyard was great also. Tina the owner is the best to work with. She answered emails, phone calls and txts right away. She could not have been more helpful!!!! Her txt to check on me when I arrived was so
thoughtful. Have raved about the place to family and friends. l can't wait to stay there with my husband the next time I come to visit SF.

Loved our stay during the Summer of Love anniversary
We visited San Fran to take part in the 50th anniversary of the Summer of Love and wanted to stay close to Haight Ashbury, so we chose this lovely condo just blocks off Haight. It's beautifully furnished and the perfect size for a party of two, though it could easily fit more people. There's a fully stocked kitchen, very comfortable bed, cozy living room and dining area that looks out over the street. It's probably the quietest place I've stayed, which was surprising given its proximity to Haight and all the activity. The owner provided us with details on how to get to public transportation, which was essential because we had no car. There were plenty of brochures on what to do and see as well. The bathroom is located a few steps outside of the unit, but that was not an issue. Bathrobes are provided to guests and there is only one tenant on the same floor, who we never saw. It felt very private and romantic. One last thing - because we live in a tropical climate, we were pretty chilly at nighttime. There are heating units in the condo that are very easy to control and they helped us stay warm. I would not hesitate to return. And if you are thinking about going this year, don't miss the Summer Of Love exhibit at the DeYoung Museum and take your own walking tour of the Haight district. Peace!

A well kept apartment in an excellent location near Golden Gate Park and Haight with a few drawbacks
This reasonably priced apartment is well kept up with electric heaters in the bedroom area and bathroom. The bedroom area has a comfortable bed, though it is a hideaway. The bedroom area is between a small kitchen with everything that is needed to prepare a nice breakfast and a living room with a bay window, but with uncomfortable places to sit. The biggest drawback inside the apartment is the location of the bathroom, which is across an unheated common hallway down from a common entry door. It seems to be shareable, though no one else appeared to use it during our one week stay. The bathroom itself is very nice with a great shower.
The location is also very good, not only close to Golden Gate Park but also close to lots of shops in the Haight, public transportation and even a Whole Foods a few blocks away. However, anyone who has visited San Francisco knows of the sad problem of the homeless and the problem is unfortunately quite prevalent in this area.
The Wildbergers (CML and Tina) provided us, via email and on one occasion land mail, with all the information we needed and were very prompt in responding to our needs. Even with the drawbacks noted, my wife and I had overall a very good experience staying in the apartment and would stay here again when coming back to San Francisco.

Close to Golden gate park, bars, restaurants, grocery stores, & bike rentals
Me and my husband drove down for a week here while on vacation for our anniversary/my b day. We felt like locals for a week! We were able to rent bikes from down the street for a nominal fee and biked over the golden gate bridge and did the lands end hike on the way back. Its a lot for one day so I highly recommend to leave early and do this your last day as you will be sore..haha. But so worth the views! I also loved that we could store the bikes in the entryway overnight and not worry about them being stolen. Some nights we ate out, and other nights we were able to buy groceries from the local market down the block and cook a lovely dinner at the flat. My favorite place we had breakfast was 1428 HAIGHT patio Cafe & crepery, and our go to for lunch was Street Taco. We were even able to park for free right on the street! Just make sure you read the signs carefully for what days you can park where! Haight street Is well known for there quirky shops which would be super fun for a girls day but I mostly window shopped since I was with my husband. Overall, this place is in a great location that has a super cute/beach feel with all the basic amenities you will ever need and even a little extra. The owner Tina was very responsive and easy to work with. We hope to be able to go back sooner then later! Mahalo! =)

Nice place to "live like a local"
Tina's flat is great for two people. The kitchen and bathroom are well stocked with upscale amenities. The towels and bath products are better than one finds in most hotels. If you are tall, you will really appreciate the shower. My husband usually complains about the shower heads being too low - but not here. I'm short, so the shelf with shampoo, etc. was a reach for me, but reachable. We were there for a week, so having access to the washer and dryer was appreciated. We were disappointed that the TV had so few stations available as my husband was unable to watch the NBA playoff games there. The living room furniture is functional, but not terribly comfortable for lounging. My husband had to pull out the couch a bit so his head didn't hit the painting behind it. Otherwise, all was good. I love the Cole Valley neighborhood and met so many nice community members. While this property is in the Cole Valley, it is also very close to Haight/Ashbury which is a world away in atmosphere. Laid back community for Cole Valley, touristy and busy Haight. We experienced both. Preferred the grocery on Haight and the ambience on Cole. We also walked through there to Golden Gate Park, which we love and wanted a place close to it. However, it is unfortunate that San Francisco has such a horrible homeless problem and much of it is concentrated on Haight Street and in the Panhandle and eastern edge of the Park. They congregate in groups and I wouldn't go through the area at night. They are not by this property, however. I would stick with enjoying the ambience of Cole Valley's many shops and restaurants. There is even a small dog park in the neighborhood - about three blocks away - which is a hidden gem and used responsibly. Walking to Golden Gate Park, you can bypass the groups of pretty rough looking people by walking west on an alternate street. We actually went to the panhandle on a daily basis with our dogs during the day and never felt threatened and the dogs loved it. We also met some nice people walking their dogs. I love all the green space. There are other parks that are walking distance for hiking or relaxing, also.

Cozy and homey flat in a great location
I really enjoyed my stay in Tina's flat in Haight Ashbury! The location is great for a lot of things, and her neighbors are delightful. Best of all, the bed is very comfortable! The major quirk in the place is that the bathroom for this apartment is across a shared hallway. But, I think I remember the listing being clear about this, and in practice it wasn't bad at all. If you don't mind a smaller space, and want to be in the middle of an iconic neighborhood with great transit options, groceries, and restaurants, this is a great choice.

Clean, quiet, yet only few minutes away from vibrant neighbourhood
Location is great: quiet at night while only a block away from lots of good restaurants and grocery stores. Several bus lines nearby. Clean, airy with nice decor. Impeccable kitchen. Lots of details make us feel welcome: products in bathroom, chocolates, pamphlets, blanket and cooler for a picnic at the park, recommandations handwritten in a binder. I highly recommend it.

I loved it
This small apartment is perfect for two. We've stayed here for two months plus for each of the past two winters and are planning to return in 2018. We couldn't be happier. The neighborhood has many diverse shops and restaurants and is a joy to explore. It's very convenient to public transportation. San Francisco is our idea of a perfect vacation city, and staying in Tina's apartment makes it even more delightful.

Great stay in the heart of the action
We stayed in this lovely home while moving our student in to USF. The location was great and the spaces just perfect. The neighborhood is close enough to walk to dinner or breakfast - yet far enough to be quiet in the evening. We have four more years as a USF family ... and are looking forward to this slice of paradise being our second home!

Wonderful suite in great location
We stayed for four nights while my wife attended a conference downtown. We were able to explore nearby Golden Gate park, go to the Zoo, and go to the beach at the end of the park as well as at several other nearby places. Although we had a car to get around, we didn't travel far as there is a lot to see in San Francisco. The suite was well equipped, and having to cross the hall to go to the washroom was no problem. We didn't see another soul the whole time we were there!

Very comfortable, perfect location.
My wife and I spent a week here and loved the property and the neighborhood. We took the train from the airport to a station 2 blocks away and used public transit to see all the sights. The apartment is walking distance to Golden Gate Park and Haight St. as well as neighborhood restaurants and bars. The apartment is very nicely appointed and the bed is very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need. So glad we didn't stay at some hotel in a tourist area, we felt part of the neighborhood here.

Very charming and comfortable home base for exploring SF
I was really pleased with this lovely place. The decor is stylish and uncluttered, and it has everything you need to be comfortable. The Cole Valley neighborhood was new to me, and I enjoyed exploring the shops and restaurants and picking up coffee and a croissant at the wonderful boulangerie there. Loved visiting the new SFMOMA and returning to north beach and City Lights. I felt very safe in this flat. In spite of the proximity to Haight street, it was very quiet at night and the neighborhood is great. I would definitely visit another time and recommend it to others.

A sunny and quiet flat in a beautiful part of Cole Valley
We had a great stay. The apartment is sunny and nicely furnished, with an incredibly comfortable Murphy bed. The pocket doors between living and sleeping areas are a nice feature as you can close them for complete quiet overnight. The kitchen is small but well appointed and the bathroom across hall is just for this apartment. We weren't bothered at all by this as the only other person who has access to this floor of building is a very nice woman who lives in flat at end of all. And you simply cannot beat the location--having lived in Cole Valley many years ago, I can say it remains my favorite spot of SF...close to the Park, great public transit to Hayes Valley and downtown, and itself a quaint village with a few tasty eateries and markets. We would definitely stay again!

Hello all! I am a travel nurse that has been staying in Tina's place for the last few months.
WOW!
I can't say enough good things about my experience here. To start- communicating with Tina has been a breeze! She is the best land lady and I am so thankful for her. She went out of her way to help with getting me a temporary residential parking permit, even before I moved to SF. She also worked with me in many another ways to make the transition of moving out to SF for work a piece of cake! Thank you Tina!!!
Secondly- the flat! It sits in a great location in the middle of SF between Haight Street (which has tons of cute boutiques, yummy places to eat and grab drinks) and Cole Valley (adorable little area with local markets, great restaurants, MUNI stop). Golden Gate park is only about 0.3mi away. Whole Foods 0.2mi away. I honestly have only driven like an hour a week, everywhere I need to run errands is basically in walking distance!
The furnishings in the flat are up to date, comfortable and welcoming. The natural sunlight just gives a nice light and happy feeling when I am spending time at home during the day. The bed is a murphy bed, which worried me at first! But it's SO comfortable! It seems to be a tempurpedic or similar. And a major plus to be able to lift the bed up (I use the open space with the bed up to work out). I also appreciate the pocket doors in between the bedroom and living room for privacy. I was able to have my brother/SIL stay on the bed while I slept on the sofa and we each had our own space.
The kitchen has all up to date appliances (gas stove/stovetop is a MAJOR plus!). Also, Tina has the kitchen fully stocked with cookware, dishwater, tupperware, anything you could want and more! She also just installed a microwave over the stove right before I moved in, which has been great to have available.
Lastly- the bathroom. The clawfoot tub is beautiful and great to soak in, water is hot, plenty of space to set your essentials out. Yet another space that is bright, welcoming, and refreshing. And very much so a nicely sized bathroom!
Also- Washer and dryer! It is shared with the other tenants but I found that it is infrequently used. There have only been a couple times in the last couple months I had wanted to use it and it was already in use. Major plus!!
Tina's place has been everything I could want and more. Truly a great find and reasonable price for the SF area. I'm so thankful to have stumbled upon this place!
