Welcome to the Swan Float Inn! Named after the HUGE white swan that welcomes you into town off of US-31. This tri-level home ( Exterior Update planned for Fall of 2024) is the perfect up north getaway retreat in the desirable west side neighborhood of the Village of Elk Rapids. Minutes to everything Elk Rapids has to offer - walk a block and a half to the beach on Lake Michigan or 4 blocks to the adorable downtown shops of Elk Rapids – you are steps away from it all. We rent Sunday to Sunday during the summer months and two night minimum during the off season. ****Air Conditioning added Spring 2022!*******
The house offers three bedrooms and a full bath on the upper level, large family room, kitchen, eating area, half bath and deck( Updated Fall 2024)on the main level, and two rooms and a half bath in the lower level with laundry facilities. This weekly rental includes Wi-Fi, SMART TV with DVD player, two Paddlebouy paddle boards for use at the beach, gas grill on the large deck . A 4th bedroom is located in the walkout basement with a queen bed and a pull out couch.

This house is available to rent on a weekly basis Sunday to Sunday from June 12 to Labor Day weekend.

Based on recent events, be reassured that our cleaning crew is following the CDC Recommendations for cleaning the property. Because extra precautions are being taken, we have modified our Check in/out times. Check in will be after 6 pm to allow our cleaning crew extra time to do a thorough cleaning. Check out will stay at 10 am.

Fun Fact: The 15 foot swan was used as a float to carry Miss. Elk Rapids in the Cherry Festival and Harbor Day parade back in 1966.

Awesome Location

House is very nice, exactly as advertised. Property manager is very responsive and accessible. Location is perfectly situated for short walks to downtown or the beach. Easily accommodated our family of ten.

We keep coming back to this property every summer. Plenty of room for eight people a block from the beach in a great town. Very clean and well organized.

Great location

Very nice home. Really clean and great location. Beach was a block away and had so much to do. Downtown was easy to walk to and had a lot of cool shops. The property manager was very responsive. The only thing we didn’t like was the late check-in. By the time you check in at 6 p.m. and unpack it is too late to do much.

Great Location! Just Park and Walk!

Terrific location for a stay in Elk Rapids! Downtown Elk Rapids is just a few blocks away; the beach and the play area even closer. Just walk to everything! Lots of room in this home for a large family group.

Great Spot

As Advertised!! Pictures and description are accurate. Neat Clean and Orderly. Addition of the A/C was great for us. We spent all day every day out in the sun & on the boat and appreciated the cool temps for sleeping. Hope to stay again next year! Patrick

Summer 23

Spacious, clean, well supplied. This was our 3rd yr staying and we plan to be back in 24. Location great for swim, biking, walking, etc. Kids always have a ball.

Amazing location

Loved this adorable house walking distance to downtown Elk Rapids and a block from the beach. The house was perfect for our mixed group of adults and kids in TC for a softball tournament. Only downside was that there was only 1 shower. Other than that, it could not have been more perfect. Loved it and would definitely stay here again.

Summer in ER

Clean, well stocked, very comfortable for active family ages 7 to 72. Park the car and walk or bike to beach, restaurants, shopping, movies, harbor, library and bars. Very restful, something for everyone.

time with family to celebrate 50 years of marriage

Everyone enjoyed their time swimming and all the yard toys provided. The house was just as listed and the extra refrigerator in the garage came in very handy. My grandsons really enjoyed the paddle boards as they kept telling us it was their favorite thing to do and also being able to walk to the beach.

Great location, close to twin and beach. Awesome park with tennis and activities, perfect for morning walks. House well stocked, no central air so it gets warm in the rooms with window units.

Spectacular!

We would definitely stay here again! When we arrived, everything was clean. The procedures were posted and easy to follow. We had no questions and it was a relaxing week. Kitchen is well equipped with what you will need if you are cooking/making meals there. There is plenty of space for small children to play while the rest of the guests can still be comfortable. Literally a block from the beautiful bay. All the people around town are friendly.

Amazing property and location

This is the perfect place for a family vacation. It was very short walking distance to the beach and town. My kids LOVED all the bikes And lawn toys in the garage. There were more than enough beds for our large family and the living areas were perfect. We also went to Petoskey and Traverse cities on the cooler days and the drive was nothing. In short, it’s the perfect house, in the perfect location, for beach days and exploring the best of the area. We hope to stay again!

Great Family Vacation Home

A great place to enjoy the beautiful beach and city of Elk Rapids and the surrounding areas. We loved stepping outside and seeing the beach just a 5 minute walk away. The living areas of the home are spacious with a nice deck and yard. No central air but the owner had thoughtfully supplied two window AC units so the house stayed absolutely cool and comfortable even though we had some hot days while there. The master bedroom was great. The other beds were just so-so, and the sofa beds were ok for kids bit not for adults. Thankful for the 2 half baths since there is just one full bath, but we managed fine. We made sure we used the convenient outside hose for washing sand off after coming in from the beach. The owner has some fun yard games and beach toys to use and the garage was accessible for us to store some of our things. If we return, and we would like to, we’ll won’t have to bring as much with us. Communication with owner was great.

Amazing location and amenities

This property has all you need for a wonderful, social distancing vacation. The beach is just 2 blocks away and very family friendly and the unit has all the water toys we could have asked for (paddlebouy, noodles, beach chairs, etc) The house itself had all the yard games (bags, Kan jam, frisbees, etc) and we used the grill and fire pit every night. We were looking for a getaway where we could relatively self isolate but be outside as much as possible, and this checked all the boxes and more! The Host was VERY responsive and helpful with all of our multitude of questions. Do not hesitate to book this place, you will not be disappointed.

Great value

We got stuck without Our usual location this year and this fell into our budget and no regrets. We were worried about the single shower but we made it work. Home layout was very conducive to our pack of kids and my mobility challenged father, but frankly we spent more time on the deck than inside. And location was fabulous, two blocks walk and you were on the sand or just a little further, you were downtown. Owner and caretaker were excellent to work with even with a schedule change. Really our only issue was there were no instructions on where the garbage needed to be put out and us being suburbanites put it out to the street instead of the alley, needless to say it didn’t get picked up.
