The apartment modern and tastefully is located in a quiet residential area and within walking distance from the historic center of Lucca; its main feature is the easy access to the historical centre and the surrounding areas of Lucca.
The accommodation is studied in details and consists of a large kitchen, a comfortable living room with a double sofa bed, one double bedroom with a large wardrobe and a spacious bathroom with shower. This apartment has independent heating system, a private garden with outdoor space for eating, a private gated parking, two bicycles, free wi-fi and satellite led TV with international channel.

The apartment is on the ground floor of a villa and is accessed by Via delle Fornacette; it is situated in a quiet area only 500 metres from the historical walls of the medieval city.

The Neighborhood
Located just a short walk from the walls of the historical centre, all the attractions of the centre are easily accessible on foot; you will be able to explore the many wonderful restaurants, bars and shops of the centre that are within 10-15 minutes walk, you could have breakfast in a local bar just 50m from the apartment and dine in any of the excellent restaurants of the historic centre or the surrounding area..
Getting Around
The historical centre of Lucca has restricted vehicle access. If you will arrive by car, there is no problem because the apartment has a private gated parking. The train station and the bus station are just 15 minutes walk away from the apartment. It is traditional in Lucca to explore the city on bicycle and the apartment has two bicycles which you can use.

Perfect Luca location

We spent a week here, the property is well equipped , comfortable, with secure parking and outdoor space. We wnet to Firenze by train. The centre of Lucca, railway station and supermarket are a short walk away. A perf3dt location and host. We had breakfast al fresco in the company of Phoenix, the friendly golden retriever.

Excellent apartment

Apartment was very spacious and in a wonderful location. Convenient to bus and train to get all over Italy. The hostess, Anna, was amazing.... Always helpful! I do hope to get back here again one day. If I could read it higher then you're a five stars I certainly would.

Large Clean Modern Apartment Within Walking Distance to Lucca

A very spacious modern unit that is within a 20 minute walk to the walled city of Lucca. Large kitchen complete with all modern equipment. The owner is very nice and responsive.

Excellent Location!

Anna is a wonderful host! Very accessible and helpful. The apartment looks like the pictures and is an excellent location for exploring Lucca, both within and outside the wall. Definitely recommend!

Schöner Urlaub

Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind total nett, bieten ihre Hilfe an, drängen sich aber nicht auf. Man hat seine Ruhe, obwohl Sie im gleichen Haus wohnen. Von der Wohnung sind es zu Fuß nur 15 Minuten bis in die Stadt. Einziges Manko: Da es sich um eine Kellerwohnung handelt, hat man im Herbst kaum Sonne zum Draußensitzen.

Sehr nette Vermieter. haben uns immer geholfen wenn wir Fragen hatten. Die Ferienwohnung liegt sehr günstig. 10-15 Minuten zu Fuß ins Historische Stadtzentrum. Das Auto konnte auf dem Gelände geparkt werden. Die Ferienwohnung hat nur ein Schlafzimmer und ist daher nur für zwei Personen zu empfehlen. Weitere Personen müssten auf dem Schlafsofa im Wohnzimmer schlafen. Petra und Martin

Erkundung der nördlichen Toscana

Das Objekt hat die Erwartungen erfüllt und wir haben den Aufenthalt genießen können. Die Lage des Objektes ist ein wenig überraschend aber mit den Fahrrrädern der Vermietern ist man schnell in der Stadt und kann dort die Abende genießen.

Great End to Tuscan Vacation

It was a very spacious apt. in a very convenient location for someone needing a place to keep car. We were walking distance to super market, Catholic Church and the walled city of Lucca. At Anna’s recommendation we went to a Puccini concert at San Giovanni and an organ concert at San Martín Cathedral. The bikes were great for circumambulating the walls. We used the area to access Pisa, Livorno and Siena . It is convenient to Autostrada. We loved Telos the red golden retriever. We would use the apt again without question.

Wonderful time in Lucca

The location was perfect. We had a hire car so staying just outside the city walls was great especially as we could park behind the secure gates of the property. There was a huge supermarket within a 5 minute walk and ample bakeries etc. Lots of space, comfy bed and powerful shower made it a great holiday. The owner responded extremely quickly when we needed advice.

Gezellige appartement dichtbij het centrum van Lucca

Dit complete appartement is gesitueerd aan het einde van een rustige doodlopende straat. Het appartement bevindt zich een verdieping lager dan de begane grond van het huis. De auto kan je op je eigen plek voor de deur parkeren. Let op, hele grote (lange) auto’s zullen moeite hebben om te keren, want achteruit het heuveltje op is bijna geen optie. Appartement is voorzien van alle gemakken. Moderne keuken en badkamer. De foto’s zeggen genoeg. Gezellige zitjes buiten. Zorg wel dat je voldoende anti-muggen spullen hebt, want in je korte broek buiten is bijna niet te doen. Goede en duidelijke communicatie met de eigenares Anna. Alleen gezien bij ontvangst, wel altijd bereikbaar voor vragen of nood. Ze hebben een Golden retriever Telos, die je af en toe komt bezoeken. Voor een koekje wordt het je beste vriend. Alle gezelligheid en vertier vindt je op 10 min. lopen in het ommuurde centrum van Lucca. Hele grote supermarkt op 2 min fietsen. Fietsen zijn helaas niet geschikt om lange tochten te maken. Lucca is een goede uitvalsbasis naar het (kiezel)strand bij Pisa en hele mooie plaatsen en dorpen. Wat je niet mag missen; Pisa, Volterra, Monteriggioni, San Gimignano, Bologna, Florence en Siena. Al met al is dit appartement een goede keuze om Toscane te ontdekken en zeker een aanrader. Groet, Larry & Brigit. Heerhugowaard Nederland.

Il Glicine Stay 26 May to 5 June 2019

The apartment is very comfortable, it is as seen and described on the website, spacious, modern and well equipped with a pleasant outdoor seating area. It is in a great location - a quiet residential area yet only a ten minute walk to the historical centre of Lucca. Anna's administration is efficient and you feel very welcome. We found Anna's restaurant recommendations very helpful, particularly enjoying the traditional 'Trattoria Da Giulio', though that is just one of the many restaurants to enjoy as you are spoilt for choice. For a pasta lunch we would suggest trying 'In Pasta' on Corso Garibaldi and on the night that you just fancy a pizza try 'Pizzeria Dal Ciaccia' just a few blocks away on San Concordio. (For those who are not enthusiastic about animals, you may just find yourself converted by the occasional company of Telos the remarkable family dog.) Lucca itself has a lot to offer as does the surrounding area, we had a car and once you have mastered the one-way system around Lucca you are well positioned for getting about. For drivers - one word of caution concerning the 'aeroplane' roundabout near McDonald's. It is not a roundabout! When returning to the apartment from the north be sure to take the second exit otherwise you will find yourself on the toll road. If visiting Pisa we suggest using the SS12, just by the Esselunga supermarket, go straight on and under the bridge, it takes you directly to the north gate which leads to Piazza dei Miracoli. We parked in a residential area outside the walls and walked. We would definitely recommend Lucca as a holiday destination and Anna's apartment as the place to stay. Liz and Mervyn UK

An Exceptional Apartment On Our Visit To Lucca

My wife and I spent 10 wonderful nights in this bright, spacious apartment that featured a large bedroom, modern bathroom, and a fully equipped kitchen. Tucked away in a wooded corner of a quiet residential neighborhood, this delightful apartment was only a 10 – 15 minute walk to the beautiful old town of Lucca. It was also conveniently located close to restaurants, cafes, banking, and grocery shopping. Anna, her husband, and friendly Golden Retriever Telos were simply the kindest hosts that my wife and I have experienced in over 5 years of using HomeAway as our main source of property selection when traveling. Not only was Anna helpful upon check-in to suggest things to do during our stay, but, she was always readily available via either WhatsApp or phone to help out with any questions we might have. In addition to that, Anna and her husband were also trip savers when they personally drove me back and forth to the hospital as well as to a medical supply store the following day when I unfortunately suffered a minor medical emergency. If there was ever a property deserving a 6-Star rating, this was it. Thank you Anna to you and your family for everything!! We hope to see you again. Al & Ursula

Innenstadtnähe und doch ruhig - Stadtwohnung und doch nicht weit zum Meer

Unsere zwei Sommerferienwochen im IL GLICINE DI LUCCA vergingen wie im Flug. Wir Erwachsenen und unsere beiden Kinder haben uns hier sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Ferienwohnung ist gemütlich und modern eingerichtet und insbesondere der große Wohn-Essbereich hat es uns angetan - aber auch das schöne Bad mit der Regenwalddusche und natürlich auch die baumüberrankte Terasse, die wir vor allem zu einem ausgedehnten Frühstück genutzt haben, bevor wir zu unseren Ausflügen und Unternehmungen aufgebrochen sind. Die mittelalterlichen Stadtmauern und die Altstadt von Lucca erreicht man von der Wohnung zu Fuß in einer Viertelstunde. Zum Meer (Stand Marina di Vecchiano) waren wir mit dem Auto lediglich eine halbe Stunde unterwegs. Nah sind auch die Berge mit malerischen Orten und traumhaften Grotten und andere schöne toskanische Städte. Dazu das immer verlässlich warme/heiße sonnige Wetter. Was will man mehr?! Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und halten sich - obwohl sie auf dem gleichen Gelände wohnen - angenehm dezent zurück. Zudem haben sie einen ganz lieben Hund (Golden Retriever), der uns vor allem zum Frühstück auf der Terasse immer gerne besucht hat und den unsere beiden Kinder, aber auch wir, richtig ins Herz geschlossen haben. So denken wir an einen schönen Urlaub in einer schönen Ferienwohnung zurück - in der wir gerne auch mal wieder Zeit verbringen würden.

Gute Lage in schönem Vorstadtquartier

Die Wohnung liegt im Tiefparterre gegen Norden und ist im Sommer daher angenehm kühl. Ideal ist, dass das Auto praktisch vor dem Wohnungseingang parkiert werden kann. Die Wohnung ist geräumig und und stilvoll/modern eingerichtet. In der Küche findet sich fast alles, was man braucht. Schön wäre, wenn der Ventilator im Bad etwas leiser wäre und dafür die Beleuchtung insbesondere vor dem Spiegel heller.

Anna's apartment is clean and well equipped. We did not have a car, so it was convenient to walk into town. There were bicycles available if you would like to use them. We fell in love with Lucca.

Perfect location to Lucca

There are far too many positives to write about. The location couldn’t get any better. It’s a short walk to the walls of Lucca. The apartment was spacious and clean, and provided all the necessary kitchen items one needs. It’s quiet and private, and a great place to rest after many hours being a tourist. The golden retriever “Telos”, is an added bonus. He stops by once in awhile for a scratch and then leaves. Not sure if the 3 plug adapter is standard, but my 2 plug European hair dryer wouldn’t fit the outlets. They had an adapter on a hair dryer and was able to utilize for my own dryer. As an American this is first time I’ve seen 3 plugs. This isn’t a negative, just an fyi should you travel from someplace other than Europe. This rental really fit our needs to a t, and the owners were very pleasant to deal with. Highly recommend.
