A super stay with our big famiky

A glorious stay

Super stay in a wonderful country manor, with superb gardens and a gorgeous swimming pool area. We (a mix of adults, teens and small children) very much appreciated the terrace pergola for dining, the planting and the garden play area, herbs and fruit. The interiors are historic and elegant, filled with family heirlooms, antiques and memorabilia. Upstairs, the beds were comfortable and there were lots of ensuite bathrooms (and one separate loo on both floors). The location is high up so when it was hot in the Dordogne valley, it was comfortable (cool, even) overnight in the bedrooms - which was welcome. The kitchen was a little tired but there was plenty of space to prepare food. An additional fridge for water and wine would have been welcome but these are small issues. We loved exploring the local area, the market in Perigueux, kayaking on the river, visiting historic sites and 'geo-cacheing' in particular. The owners were delightful and most helpful. We were thrilled with our stay in such a memorable property and would come again. Thank you so much from all of us.

Natuur en stilte

De ligging van het prachtige, oude huis is geweldig, evenals het uitzicht, de ruime en mooi aangelegde tuin en het zwembad. Mooie wandelomgeving en fijne uitstapjes in de omgeving. Heerlijk stil. Aardige mensen.

Exceptionnelle demeure restaurée avec soin et gardant son cacher d'antan

10 jours à 12 personnes, sans se marcher sur les pieds, tant la demeure est vaste et les extérieurs divers (jardin, pelouse, espaces ombragés près de la piscine (géante). Nous recommandons vivement cette charteuse et l'attention de ses propriétaires.

Merveilleux séjour

Superbe demeure, joli jardin fleuri, vaste espace engazonné qui descend jusqu'à la piscine, coin repas ombragé avec très belle vue. Tout autant de charme à l'intérieur dans les grands salons et salle à manger qui restent très frais même par temps de canicule. Séjourner dans cette vraie maison de famille, même à douze est extrêmement agréable et nous laisse un très beau souvenir. Nous y reviendrons avec beaucoup de plaisir si nous en avons la possibilité.

C'est la troisième fois que nous venons à Leygonie. Nous adorons cet endroit. L'accueil est chaleureux, l'endroit tout simplement merveilleux. la nature s'étend à perte de vue autour de la maison. Les enfants adorent : ils jouent dans le parc, se baignent dans la piscine et font des tournois de ping-pong; le tout entre deux visites de sites de la région. Nous le conseillons vivement

Wonderful time

We have had a wonderful time at the estate Leygonie. The house was clean and spacious, breathing history. And thanks to the warm welcome from the friendly owners, we immediately felt at home. We sure can recommend this beautiful house, with its superb swimmingpool and lovely garden.

Memorable stay

We had a marvelous stay in this magnificent old mansion full of history, set in a very well maintained and beautiful garden. Kids loved the old house and the fresh tasty prunes in the orchard. Drinks at the pool when the sun sets and then a bbq on the courtyard in the late evening. Absolute silence and a wonderful sky full of stars. We were well impressed !
