Beautiful area and very clean

This cabin has beautiful views! We stayed there for our daughter's wedding weekend...it was very clean and the owners were very attentive. Very rustic, loved the hardwood floors!

Perfect Weekend!

This cabin is phenomenal! The workmanship of the cabin alone was worth it, not to mention the views! It was the perfect weekend for my son and his groomsmen. Plenty of room, great time playing pool and corn-hole in the basement. Plus a great kitchen with plenty of counter space and a table where all the boys could sit and enjoy conversation. I honestly don’t know how it could have been any better.

Our daughter got married at Burdoc Farms, about 10 minutes away. It was nice to come back from wedding and unwind in such a private, beautiful place. We all slept comfortably and could finally relax. Beautiful property, way back off the road.

Relax & unwind in a gorgeous wood cabin

This house is gorgeous! The surrounding property is beautiful as well. The Owner was extremely accommodating. Any questions were quickly answered. The property is well equipped with a bbq grill and all the kitchen stuff one needs. I already miss listening to the rain and the wildlife at night. Such an easy place to stay and gain some perspective. I definitely recommend this cabin to everyone that wants to get away from the busy world for a bit and catch their breath.

The most peaceful place I've stayed in a while.

The house and property were amazing in all aspects. Mahlon text us several times to see if we needed anything. They were very very accommodating. I enjoyed not having a TV and WIFI, it made you appreciate spending time with each other outside of the normal hustle of life. They had plenty of group activities to keep you entertained. We'll see definitely be back to this place.

Such a peaceful time/Great communication from owners

If you're looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the best! We took my dad as my mom recently passed, and it was so good for him to enjoy the nature/family and friends. Mahlon gave us tips as where to buy our food (Detweilers is a must) and we only ate out once while there - driving to town to get the local fresh produce and meats. He also gave my husband, his friend and my dad a tour of his sawmill - they loved it. The home is beautiful - and the wrap around porch where we ate most meals and star gazed at night was perfect. Want to go again.

Gorgeous Cabin

The cabin is absolutely gorgeous and very clean. The owners were attentive and made sure everything was in order. We were attending our daughters wedding and the cabin was very conveniently located to the venue at Burdock Farms. My husband and I plan on returning due the the peacefulness of the property.

Outdoors and peaceful

The home is stunning and sits on rolling property that you must see; the pictures don’t capture the spirit of this house. The long gravel driveway was well maintained and every bit of I would guess 1.5 + miles long. When you pull up the log cabin grabs your attention and says relax you have arrived. There was easily enough room for the twelve adults and then some. The wrap around porch had large natural wood tables that easily accommodated all twelve adults. The indoor dining room table could have seated all of us too but why sit inside when surrounded by nature. All of the rooms were clean, and the bedroom furniture was hand crafted top notch. The basement even had a full-size pool table. Mahlon actively reached out to me about two hours prior to our arrival to answer any questions we had about the area and how to access the property. He followed up once again on Saturday to see if we had any questions or problems. Local places that you absolutely must shop at: Ritechoice Market had the best apple butter spread you could find anywhere – excellent on pancakes, Detweiler Meats had excellent bacon and so much more.

Beautiful Peaceful Cabin

This home was very comfortable and clean!! Our family really enjoyed staying here. We didn’t even miss not having a television. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. During our stay we enjoyed the first snowfall of the season and it was so beautiful.

Beautiful cabin in the wilderness.

We stayed at the cabin during the first week of October. The cabin was amazing! There is plenty of room inside and outside for taking in the peaceful surroundings and enjoying the fellowship of good friends. The cabin was everything that was advertised and much more. It was very clean, and everything we needed was on hand. The night sky was amazing as seen from the spacious deck. Mahlon and his wife were attentive and accommodating while also being respectful of our privacy. The booking process was easy as was the entire stay. I would highly recommend this cabin for anyone. We will be back! Thank you Mahlon!

Beautiful, amazing attention to detail home.

We had such a great experience staying at this beautifully designed home. It was so clean and spacious! And the hospitalility was perfect. The owners checked in on us and were so responsive. We have passed the link to the home along to many others. We definitely will be back to stay again.

Perfectly off the map!

We took a men's retreat here and were really wanting to find seclusion. I don't think I could have found a more secluded location to get away. The cabin is even nicer than the pictures showed. The craftsmanship was amazing. This is not a cabin that is just thrown together like most are. The 100% wrap around deck is great because there is always shade somewhere. The basement is unfinished, but is extremely clean and usable with a large covered walkout. Furnishings were all up to date and very nice. The home is run on solar power with a back up generator. Mahlon was very accommodating and checked in every day to make sure everyone was comfortable. The only update that I would suggest would be a hot tub somewhere. Overall, very pleased with our stay there and would recommend it.

Fantastic get away!!

We had a large group of friends and children that stayed in this cabin. It was a last minute decision to do something as a group for New Year's Eve. I ended up finding this cabin on line. When we got there everyone was shocked by how secluded and beautiful it was!!! The pictures definitely do not do this justice. We all had a fantastic time and there was more than enough room. Mahlon and his wife were wonderful hosts. They were so helpful and accommodating!! The kids had a blast and there was never a dull moment. There were no tvs which we all loved because conversation and laughter kept flowing with no distractions. And it was wonderful seeing all the kids use their imaginations making up games and playing outside. Will definitely be going back!! Highly recommend to anyone!! Only thing is I would bring a radio....we were using our phones and wasn't quite loud enough A+++

A Travelers Treat

We enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very comfortable with it's rustic charm, beautiful scenery and amazing sunsets. It was our families first vacation in Kentucky. We loved the rural little town and Hawg Heaven had great homestyle burgers..
