About this property
Hydrangea gite one of 5 properties
Le Cosquer is a 16th century Breton farm situated in the heart of the Brittany region in France. Although the farm is no longer being used as such, the house has been sympathetically restored and the barn converted into a Gite.
The gite sleeps 6 in 3 bedrooms over 2 floors.
A double and bunkbeds on the first floor and a twin on the second floor.
There is generous parking space with all the accommodation. For those looking for a quiet day, what better than to sit in the apple orchard with a bottle of wine and a good book?
This is a great area for cyclists. Mur de Bretagne has hosted a stage end for the tour de france 3 years in the last 5 years. 2018 was the stage 6 finish with the cyclist having to climb to the finish. We have hosted cyclist who have tackled the finish and provided a bed, breakfast and evening meal. Please contact for details.
We are happy to welcome any golfers, fishermen, walkers, cyclists and motorcyclists on our wonderfully clear roads and peaceful countryside in groups or pairs. Obviously, groups would find May, June, July and September more acceptable for their purposes.

About the host

Le Cosquer has been my home for the last 5 years and I just love the slow pace of life.
We brought the beautiful property 5 years ago and I haven't stopped improving it. This year the swimming pool has been refurbished and we are constantly adding things to Le Cosquer to make your holiday enjoyable.

Why they chose this property

What makes this property unique
The region is of a similar climate to Cornwall being a littler warmer. Although there are micro climates throughout Brittany and this means the weather can be as hot as Spain in some places.
There are plenty of places to visit in the area including the beaches at Carnac and Binic.
During the summer there are lots of festivals going on throughout the region including the festival at Bon Repos which is outstanding and is over 2 weekends in August.
Just a 10 minute drive away is the Lac de Guerdelan. It is a beautiful lake which has a man made beach which is lovely for young and old. There are many activities in the local area.
