This 6th floor condo in the Resorts of Pelican Beach Destin, has spectacular views of the powdery white beaches, emerald water and all the comforts of home. You can relax on our balcony and enjoy the direct view of the beach that Southern Living Magazine voted #1 in the United States! Watch the dolphins play in the beautiful emerald waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Everything is furnished for a 'home away from home' feel. You can take a 10 minute walk along to the beach to the world famous 'Back Porch'. Stay for a Bloody Mary served in a beach pail or stay for lunch. Lots of local fare to snack on including their famous Amber Jack Sandwiches. All this right on the beach so flip flops are not required! Wake up in the morning and walk next door for an incredible breakfast at The Pancakery for incredible pancakes and breakfast. You don't have to worry about losing your key in the sand...This condo has keyless entry - no key to pick up or send back and forth, no key to worry about losing at the beach. There are so many restaurants in the area or you can buy fresh (just off the boat) seafood at the local markets and cook it yourself! Perfect Location with great amenities!

This condo had everything my family needed, including great views of the ocean and tons of amenities. I would definitely recommend renting beach chairs - that made it easy to bounce back and forth from the beach to the heated pools. The resort does a great job of keeping the place clean and check in was a breeze. This condo is located close to the elevators so it was super easy to get down to the cafe and/or the pool area. We had three kids with us so the bunk beds with the trundle were what made us pick this condo. I would definitely stay here again!

Location & Home away from Home

We are so thankful to have stayed at this condo. The Hosts were very responsive and helpful. The resort has everything there. The resort has main elevators and an elevator on the ends. We stayed during the Labor Day holiday so the place was busy. Resort has 3 pools. A little cafe with awesome pizzas. Also has a tiki bar that open from 11am to dusk. Highly recommend after booking the condo to book you rental of beach chairs on the beach. We are so thankful to not have to pack to the beach an umbrella and chairs. Best money well spent. The resort is also within 2 miles of the best restaurants Destin has to offer. The condo is on the 6th floor with an ocean view. The condo has everything that your home has. It was nice to have a washer and dryer. When we first went to use the dryer it had sand in it which was an easy thing to clean out before use. On our way into Destin our transmission went out on our SUV so we were careless souring our stay. Wasn’t a problem because we were there to use the beach anyways. Plenty of things that are within a walk from the resort. Ice cream, shops and restaurants. We used Uber for our evening meals. Uber is highly used down there so there wasn’t much of a wait. Round trip was around 30$. We told the hosts about our issue and they contacted the resort for us for a late check out incase our SUV wasn’t fixed in time for us to leave. Thankfully that wasn’t needed and we had our SUV back on our last morning. Overall this was a great place to stay.

Great condo and location

This condo had everything our family of 4 needed. Laundry in room, bunk beds, view and amenities. George, the owner, was so easy to communicate with and quick to respond to any concerns that I had. The resort has a toy box on the beach that included toys and boogie boards for guests to use.

Awesome condo in a great location!

We loved this condo! We had such a great vacation. Everything was clean and owners were very helpful and quick to respond. The building, the pools, the beach are all amazing. You will love staying here, I guarantee it!

Plumbing Issues need addressing.

Although clean when we arrived, there was a smell we tracked to the washer. Called to have that fixed but the chemicals they put in did not get rid of the stench. So no washer. Master bath tub only slowly drained as well. As we were cleaning up to depart, found the disposal side of the sink backs up and the dishwasher had standing water in it causing us to hand wash everything.

Favorite place to stay!!

We are a family of 6 with kids aging from 16 to 3 and this was the perfect condo for us! Very clean and spacious! The in room washer/dryer are perfect for getting everything washed through out the week! We will definitely be staying here again! :)

Amazing place!

I loved the location of this condo! The staff was amazing and the owners made sure everything was good to go for us. Checking in was a smooth process, any questions I had the staff was sure to answer. I highly recommend staying here and we will most certainly keep this place as our go to when we visit Destin Beach again.

Terrible response to hazards in the unit.

I will unfortunately start with the bad. The condo back door handle was partially broken off and had a sharp piece of metal hanging from the door which I videoed and photographed. My wife got a deep gash in her hand from it. We contacted the property owner and they deferred to maintenance who came and removed the handle and we had no security nor a way of using the door for the rest of the trip. This made our bedroom the only access to the balcony the entire trip as the simple task of replacing a handle which was available at Home Depot could not be done. There were 4 main elevators and 2 of them were not operational during half of our stay. We had to carry our stuff up 6 stories during our trip as the elevators at times took up to 45 minutes to come. It was ridiculous, again no valuable response they just again referred us to maintenance who is to say the least lethargic and not concerned. The condo had a single non stick pan that was missing large parts of the Teflon which is not safe for cooking. Simply $10 for the junk pan that was supplied and you could have one that is safe to use. The big plus obviously is the location. However VRBO, The Pelican and the owners of this condo have done nothing to make things right. I documented the injuries and a subsequent medical visit as well as the fact they never bothered to replace the door handle just remove it and leave a piece of tape where it once was. VRBO is to say the least subpar

Destin Spring 2023

The condo unit itself was very nice, much nicer than presented in the pictures. The pools and beach were very nice as well. The check-in process was a disaster. When we got to the room we realized we did not have an access code. The front desk told us the property owners should have provided it to us, but in VRBO it said the front desk would provide. After multiple rounds of back and forth with the desk they realized that had us booked the wrong days, which is why they didn’t have a code. Very frustrating. Then the next day our water wasn’t working and didn’t come on again until lunch time, which was quite challenging with having a young family along. Apparently a pipe burst and most of the property was impacted. Lastly, one of the days the pool was closed. All in all we had a nice stay but the property management needs some improvement.

Good times

This was our first visit to the Destin area. We had a great time. The kitchen was well stocked with cups, plates, pans, and cooking utensils. There was even an electric griddle! We were a bit unlucky in that we happen to visit during a fairly large maintenance project. The host did reach out and apologize for the disruption to our stay. We will be back to visit again.

Great Vacation!

The location, the property, the area, the weather all was great! A few things to note- there were not any "pay-it-forward" items such baggies, salt and pepper etc. The light above the stove isn't working and the floors need to be washed better. These things in no way shaped or impacted our stay in this condo. Extra blankets for the beds, kids toys for the beach, a fan are just some of the extras that made this condo a great place to stay! The check-in and check out process was so easy, communication with owners was made supper easy. Great place- we will be back!

Unbiased review

The property is nice and clean enough. Balcony is large and does give an ocean view however it is a side view and you cannot see sunrise or sunset. The pools are excellent with many chairs we never went without a chair and it was a busy week. The beach situation is a different story 2 chairs and 1 umbrella are expensive for a week and that's for 3rd row back beachfront footprint is about 25 % of what is needed for a 300 plus room resort that seems to be mostly rentals. Elevator near room worked about 50 percent of the time and according to worker that was not unusual. Tiki bar by pool is nice and people were friendly Enjoyed our time but would not stay there again as sitting and staring at the ocean all day was my main goal and that was hard to do with 3 rows of beach chairs in front of me. Company operating beach chair rental told me that condo owners buy the first row up every year and if the owner of your unit doesn't buy for the year you can under no circumstances get front row rental.
