Quiet, isolated, peaceful, safe

Cute beach bungalow near some of Mexico’s most pristine and isolated beaches. Town is small, people are friendly and life is slooowwww in Teacapán. If you’re looking for a quiet beach getaway without the tourist trappings, this is the place.

Wonderful stay

Teacapan is a friendly, pretty village where everyone passing by gives you a smile and a wave. We had glorious weather (Feb) with a gentle breeze off the ocean. Owner Andy was very accommodating to our requests and always available if something was needed. The house was clean and well equipped. Looking forward to staying here again.

Beautiful "seasonal" location

Beautiful location, clean home with awesome views and beach/water access. We stayed here late August which is mosquito season. It wasn't just a few its swarms of mosquitoes. My pregnant wife and I lasted 3 days and left, we only came back to check out. Our bodies were riddled with mosquito bites. Swollen, bruised bites which landed my wife and I at a doctor's office. I don't believe this is the owners fault but a heads up of weather and conditions should be provided upon request to acquire. Sadly we could not enjoy the home.

Poor communication after arrival.

The host was very helpful with directions to the cabana but when we arrived there were problems. We couldn't find any towels, there were no linens on the bed and we could not operate the stove. We messaged him right away but did not hear back from his helper until the next day so had to drive to town to buy a lighter to light the outside stove to make dinner. Another item was that the dish towel was a ripped rag.

Simple Solitude

Everything you need and nothing you don't. Quiet neighborhood. Pretty simple to get the kayak in the water. Good neighbors. Easy to get basics for cooking right in Teacapan. Adorable toads, geckos and iguanas in the yard. Nice view of the water from the covered roof deck. Simple directions from the airport. Owner is very helpful and friendly. Will certainly stay here again.

Very safe, peaceful, relaxing, and private vacation home away from home! Loved it!

As a newly married couple, this place was a perfect "another honeymoon" on the books. The one bedroom one bath cabana was the perfect size for accommodations for us. The cabana was very clean and had everything we needed. Enough towels, blankets, linens, kitchen accessories, fridge, toaster oven, hot plate, French press for coffee, etc. The village/community is located on the North side of Teacapan and is an easy bike ride into town. The caretakers (Reg and Gwen) were AWESOME and so helpful and got us whatever we needed. If it wasn't for Reg and Gwen, I don't know if it would have been as wonderful. Andy, the owner, was very prompt to respond to our inquiries about the property, location, and accommodations. Originally we thought we would have access to the sailboat, but learned/realized after booking that the sailboat was an extra charge. We were still thankful to have access to the 2 bikes, and the ocean kayak. We rarely ventured out and about, didn't need to have a vehicle, but were lucky to use the owner's van to drive a couple times to the Tamara beach near by. Both times, we ate at the restaurant la Tambora. That was our favorite location. We rode bike into Teacupun a couple times, and enjoyed going to the local/small bakery. We felt very safe. There are several retired Americans/Canadians that live here in Teacupun year round and during the winter months. The neighbors were friendly, and we chatted with some of them when we would go for a walk. The only couple negatives is that there were an awful lot of mosquitos, (which is highly unusual I guess because for the first time in like years and years it rained 11 inches about 2 weeks before we came, which created a lot of mosquitos to lay eggs). When we were on the beach they weren't bad, but in the grass and at about dusk and morning time they were out. The other thing was that there were some neighbors celebrating late into the night a couple of nights, particularly Christmas, and the eve before New Years Eve. The Mexican's like to party and play their music/Band/DJ Loud for everyone to hear. One of the nights they played until 2:30am. Those were just the 2 downers. We are early birds, and like it quiet. Other than that, it was a perfect place for a vacation for the two of us.

Very Peaceful and Restful Stay

We had the same lovely experience as other reviewers at this property. The house is well appointed and has everything that you need. Lovely sunsets from the rooftop area. The area is extremely quiet and peaceful; very restorative. The town of teacapn is very traditional and has everything that you need. Just ask around if you can't find what you're looking for. Spanish is helpful in town.

Casita at 4 Surcos

A very nice 1 bedroom cottage with an extra futon sleeping two more. That was perfect for us as we were two grandparents with 7 and 9 year old granddaughters in tow. All was included with linens and a well stocked kitchen. Just bring the food! The place was very clean and in good condition with the beach just a short walk away. About the only downside were the bugs at dawn and dusk. We just retreated inside and with the screens there was no issue. I second everything Matthew Z. had to say... great little place. FANTASTIC PROPERTY, ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!! Fabulous Getaway.

I spend a few days in this little paradise. Birds signing , private beach with dolphins, iguanas on the lemon trees, sound of ocean when you go to sleep. The home is beautiful - exactly as pictured. Clean and all amenities in good working condition Great bikes! Amazing camerones gigantes in the next door restaurant. Nice small private community, mostly Canadians staying for the winter or year around, very friendly. Miles and miles of beach to walk. Thousands of coconut palms and mango orchards. Place to relax, swim, and enjoy all of the natural beauty .Fishing village is very charming, true Mexico not a tourist trap. I would love to be back and I wish to stay longer
