Since this is in a historic schoolhouse, this was the ideal setup for our Hogwarts themed family reunion. Loved the access to the pool, hot tub, outdoor fun, and the wonderful facilities for a large family group (3 fridges, upstairs rec room, outdoor picnic tables, fire pit). Noise carrying inside was surprisingly not a problem at all. Only thing that could be better is there was no washer/dryer (they were in locked areas of the house that guests couldn't access). Heads up that since the bedrooms are historic dorms, they don't all have sink/shower/toilet, but most have 2 out of the 3, so you have to arrange the sharing. The owner is very involved and comes over twice a day to lock/unlock pool. Plan on renting the bikes because the kids will want to do that (wish it was just included in the rental price). Loved our time there!

Grandpa's 80th Birthday
We had a awesome weekend gathering of Family for my Father-in-laws 80th Birthday. It was perfect for a large group and had all the amenities. There was enough room and places for all of us to gather. Loved it and would rent it again.

Perfect place for business/leadership retreats
We have been renting this facility for the last seven years for the Idaho 4-H Teen TALK Retreat. The Mortensen family has been great to work with and Miller Hall is a great place for a teaching retreat. We have 48 youth and 8 adults who attend annually. We are able to use the dinning room, sun room and game room for three teaching areas and also have access to the wonderful outside area for games and activities. Creative use of this great space would allow any large group to hold business meetings in a economical and productive manner. Miller Hall is designed to accommodate large mixed groups and has handicap accessibility as well. The large kitchen area allows for many to participate in meal planning and clean up. Miller Hall is beautifully designed and maintained and is a perfect out-of-the-way destination for any type of group retreat. Leave the hustle and bustle of city hotels/convention centers and hold your next business retreat at this venue in beautiful Albion, ID where you can relax and concentrate on your goals and mission.

This was a great company retreat
We had our Company retreat at the Albion Campus this week. We were looking for a remote location with access to outdoor activities, hiking, sports, etc. There were 15 executives and professionals from our Twin Falls company location who attended and everyone was very happy with the venue. The restoration of this building is beautifully done, it's well stocked with everything you might need. The grounds are also beautiful and spacious. The owners are very accommodating to whatever needs you have! We were very pleased and hope to come again!

Awesome time in Albion!!!
We reserved a weekend in the off peak time for our family reunion which provided a great value for our experience there. The central location between Idaho and Utah was perfect. We were faced with some rainy hours, but Miller Hall and it's game/TV room, WiFi, and wonderful general gathering areas still made it a fun time for all. We happened to be there on the opening weekend of the Haunted Mansions on the adjacent properties, which added to even more fun...especially for the teenagers! That experience in and of itself far exceeded our expectations! We would definitely come again!!!

Wedding venue
We rented Miller Hall for my son's wedding and my father in law's 80th birthday party all in one weekend. We needed hotel rooms for the out of town guests so Miller Hall was a great choice. We had the wedding outside with a beautiful view of the mountains. We used the beautiful yard and interior of the building for the reception and birthday party. Our guests loved all the amenities that Miller Hall had to offer for families and the privacy of a mountain resort. This was such a great place for families with kids of all ages.

Wonderful venue
We had our company party at Miller Hall. We started our day skiing at Pomerelle just a short drive from Albion and then had dinner catered at Miller Hall. We had about 43 guests and there was plenty of room for everyone. Our guests absolutely loved the game room upstairs. Everyone said how quite it was sleeping there. We were able to cook breakfast the next morning and relax in the cozy atmosphere with great views of the mountains.

About the host
Hosted by Heather Mortensen
We are Troy and Heather Mortensen and purchased the Albion Normal School campus in 2007 from the City of Albion. We renovated Miller Hall and immediately started getting bookings for many family reunions. We moved our family of five children to Albion from Boise Idaho. We were up for a change and an adventure, and that is exactly what we got! With Miller Hall reservations and the Haunted Mansions of Albion in the Fall, we stay very busy and enjoy this beautiful area. We are own multiple businesses in Idaho and travel from Boise to Idaho Falls for work and have found Albion to be a great central location for us. We feel blessed to have this opportunity to work on a labor of love in restoring this beautiful historic campus.
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with this historic campus and feel very compelled to invest our time and efforts in restoring and maintaining this campus. Not only do the beautiful brick buildings have a special feel to them, but the surrounding grounds on the campus have so much potential and opportunity.

What makes this property unique
There is no other place like Albion Campus Retreat, where such large groups can stay and really feel as if they are getting away from it all. The location is very private, calming and safe. A large family can be here and not feel stressed with having to deal with crowds or losing the little ones in chaos. Here you can make memories with your loved one.
