The Perfect Hideaway.

For your peace of mind, we have improved our infection control strategy thorough disinfecting of the suite with natural alcohol based products. We use environmentally friendly cleaning products to avoid any sensitivities you might have.
Relax in a beautifully finished two-bedroom suite including laundry and a four piece bath with heated tile floors to give you a truly home away from home experience.
This 1000 square foot suite has been recently renovated with an emphasis on clean, simple lines while not sacrificing the character which is achieved through special touches like hundred-year-old reclaimed fir doors, prominent fir trim, and natural light solar tubes.
There is a BBQ on the patio, if you enjoy cooking outside. Next to your patio is an organic herb garden for the gourmet in your group.
Between the extra sound insulation and comfortable king and queen sized beds you can be assured that you wake up refreshed. A full queen sized sofa bed is also available for groups of more than four people.
The private entrance opens onto reclaimed brick patio area for a morning coffee, an 'al fresco' barbecue or evening nightcap.
Continental breakfast is included in the price, if you booked after February 13th, 2022. We serve local bagels, cream cheese, eggs, yogurt, butter, cream, juice, instant oatmeal and fruits in season. If you have any dietary restrictions, please let us know before your arrival.

Peaceful and clean; helpful hosts

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! It was very peaceful, clean, beautiful and we enjoyed the fully equipped home including a: full kitchen, breakfast provided, and a soaker tub too! Luba was a fantastic host checking in with us to make sure that we had what we needed and were comfortable. It was a very short drive to Ganges and easy access to the main road.

Tranquil Getaway

Mossy Hill was the perfect peaceful getaway for my family. Impeccably kept, and centrally located on the island, it was all we could have asked for. We’ll be back for sure!

Lots of room for our group of 5 people. Comfy mattresses and pillows. Friendly hosts. Close drive to town (4 minutes), though not walking distance (road to town has no shoulder).

Perfect getaway

Beautiful fully appointed accommodations in a quiet neighborhood but very close to all amenities. Spotless and very comfortable with a living room overlooking a wonderful garden. Exactly as advertised. Luba is an excellent host who communicates very well with guests.

Mossy Hill

It's hard to know where to start, I'll start by saying that I would recommend Mossy Hill to anyone that needs accommodations on Salt Spring Island! We felt we had the privacy we needed and the amenities were excellent. The beds and pillows(which are very important)were excellent, the view from the picture window in the living room was amazing. We used the BBQ and as we were there for a family wedding we had guests in from time to time and there was plenty of room to entertain. Although we started out concerned that there was no air conditioning we found that we didn't need it even though the temperature outside was 30 degrees. Overall we were super happy with everything to do with Mossy Hill!!

Excellent stay at Mossy Hill B&B

Luba‘s place is an exceptional bed-and-breakfast. It is spotless and a lovely decorated accommodation. The artwork around the unit is amazing. And the garden that you look at through the living room window is gorgeous. The kitchen is well stocked to make any meals that you need. The area is lovely and quiet and convenient to Ganges.

Fantastic Stay close to Ganges

Our family of 4 plus my parents stayed at Mossy Hill. We had a very nice stay as the property is close to Ganges. Host was very quick at replying to our questions. The property was very nice inside and we would definitely return to the property.

Lovely stay on Salt Spring

We had a wonderful 3 day stay! The accomodation was clean and spacious and we loved the garden view in the mornings. Having breakfast provided was a nice treat (the jams and bread were delicious!).

So peaceful!

Lovely home

This property suited us well! It was modern, yet warm and cozy, and had plenty of room for our daughter and her 2 year old son, my husband and myself. The picture window looked out on a beautiful garden, the bathroom had a heated floor for chilly mornings, the kitchen was large and well equipped. Our hosts were wonderful!

Gorgeous and relaxing stay

Luba was an excellent host, she was very welcoming and accommodating! The property is so nice inside and out, multiple other reviewers have said this but truly the pictures don’t do it justice. It was really great to have our own outdoor space and BBQ, we ate outside for almost every meal. We were travelling with our toddler and it was amazing to have the booster seat and pack-and-play available. We would definitely return for another stay!

Property was very clean and well appointed with stuff that you might need but wouldn’t necessarily pack. The living area overlooked their beautiful yard and we enjoyed watching the hummingbirds in the morning at the feeder.

Excellent Stay!

We stayed at the suite with another couple. The place was beautifully finished and decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed for meal prep. The beds were comfortable. Even though this is a suite in a house, it is very private with your own driveway, patio and entrance. As well, you get a beautiful view of the flower garden from the living room window. The location of the suite is just a few minutes drive from Ganges and very central on Salt Spring Island. We would recommend this place to anyone travelling to Salt Spring Island!

We are a couple living on Salt Spring Island for about 12 years and loving it. A few years ago, we have decided to become self-sufficient and planted an orchard with fig, pear and apple trees as well as grapes and blueberries. Although we both grew up in the big cities, we enjoy the country life style and comfort of our home with lovely two cats, Mister and Lizka.

Why they chose this property

Our property is a 3 minute drive to Ganges yet it is away from the main road in a peaceful setting. The herb garden outside of the suite offers our guests fresh ingredients for their culinary needs. If you have an eye for detail, you will notice a tasteful touch in the interior design of the suite done by Bruce . We value the privacy of our guests by having their own entrance, an outside picnic area with the barbecue and their own driveway.

What makes this property unique

One of the many aspects that drew us to this property, is the 90 million year old conglomerate that was once an under ocean landslide. The entire acre is seated firmly on the rock featuring fascinating encapsulated clasts of quartz and granite. This background is constantly inspiring the creativity in us manifesting in continuous evolution of additional adornments via mosaics, woodwork and landscape ideas.
