This house is perfectly situated near everything, the water, downtown, shops, restaurants etc. perfect amount of space to relax, cook in and a great desk set up for remote working. Though the fire station is basically next door, they typically go out ‘quiet’ as they call it so rarely heard a siren. Overall a fabulous home that we can’t wait to rent again!
We booked this home for my parents to stay during our wedding weekend. It was a quick walk to Jimmy's On Congress for our reception as well as walkable to just about everything in town. Its an older building with a great feel. We'll definitely be staying here for future trips into town!
Thank you EJ. We fully enjoyed our trip. It was awesome to be in town. The house was clean, communication was awesome, check-in and check-out were both easy. Thank you!
My family (5 adults and two kids) stayed here for the week of my wedding. It was a great central hub for family and friends to stop by as well as a great place for last minute wedding planning! My family had no complaints and really enjoyed their stay. The driveway is a little tight but if you know how to strategically park it’s no issue. It fit a giant SUV, and truck and a smaller SUV, and enough space for a visitor. The house had everything we needed, and so clean! Thank you for hosting my family!

Great Host - Great House - Great Location
This place is a must stay if you are visiting Portsmouth. The Owner is very helpful and has everything you need detailed out to make your stay as effortless and comfortable as possible. New Renovations so everything is in pristine condition and the convenience of having the living room and kitchen made it a great upgrade over any bed and breakfasts or hotels we stayed at previous visits. Its nice to be able to come back hang out and play cards. Will definitely be booking it again next year. Thanks EJ.
My family and I (all 8 of us) thoroughly enjoyed this home. It is spacious, comfortable, and in a great location. We absolutely loved it and plan to stay here again in the future.
Looking like it could be house from Strawberry Banke on the outside, it was creatively renovated and was a modern, comfortable house on the inside. Wonderful location for walking through downtown Portsmouth and quick access over the river to Kittery Maine. Due to an ice storm on Christmas Day, all of our plans were cancelled, but did not feel deprived. We had a lovely day staying in the house and really appreciated that the owners had put up a Christmas tree and holiday decorations!
The house had plenty of room for two couples. It was a quick walk to many restaurants and stores. We also walked to the boat cruise. The house had a spacious leaving room and large master bedroom with a walk-in shower. The kitchen was nice too. There is construction going on right next door. It started at 6 am during the wee. But otherwise we had a nice stay.
This house was very spacious and in a very good location to downtown shops and restaurants. We just had a couple of issues. First, there is construction happening on two sides of the house, so early morning cranes and building noises. Second, the living room couch needs to be redone. A little uncomfortable to sit or lie down, as it is a sleeper sofa and the ribs dig in. You need to use various remotes to work the TV's, which got a bit confusing, but not too bad. And if you are staying with young children or elderly parents, be aware that the bedrooms are on the second floor and loft and the stairs are narrow and steep. But the bedrooms are very comfortable. All in all, a very nice house to stay and go about your daily vacation schedule!!
We loved this property because it offered a great location in town, plus very nice interior spaces for our family. The living room sectional was big enough for our five adults to all be comfortable, while watching a family movie. The owners made us feel welcomed, with pretty holiday decorations, including a tree and lights.
The kitchen was perfect for eating and preparing meals and snacks. I would recommend this property, and would love to return.
We give the location 4 stars only because of the construction going on right next to the house. We heard heavy equipment very early in the morning. Other than that, kitchen is well equipped and updated. Bathrooms updated as well. The house is comfortable and bedrooms are roomy. Our 2 grandchildren loved being in the loft. I would say that the stairs are a bit steep for older persons. The most important, however, is the excellent communication we had with the owner who addressed a couple of issues immediately! Thank you, EJ!
My boyfriend and I stayed here over Thanksgiving week and we loved our stay! Plenty of space to relax and play games. We were even able to prepare a Thanksgiving feast in the spacious and well-stocked kitchen. We loved being able to explore the downtown area and walked everywhere! EJ was extremely responsive and a fantastic host. We can't wait to come back!
