Adorable little apartment

FYI- the property is on the 3rd floor- no elevator and a twirling staircase. Once you make it up the stairwell, the loft and balcony are adorable and clean. The beds are comfortable. Only a tiny couch in the living room but we spent most of our time on the lovely balcony nestled in the trees and above the hustle and bustle. There are 2 bathrooms which was really nice- both w showers. Make sure you pick up toilet paper on your way in as none is provided. From Aravaca to the center of Madrid is about 20-30min via taxi (€20-€25) or a 45-1hour adventure via the bus/metro (€3-€5). We opted for taxi as I was traveling w my senior aunties. The apartment is located in the adorable little barrio of Aravaca which is so quaint and everyone is so kind. There are some great restaurants as well- everything in walking distance in Aravaca. The barrio is quiet and asleep by 10pm. Not a lot of nightlife if that is what you’re looking for but it was great to go explore Madrid Centro and then come back and get a good nights sleep and an enjoy peaceful morning. There is a bakery w fresh bread and a butcher shop for fresh meats just around the corner. Marie communicated promptly w any issues and provided local eateries, etc. All in all it was a great stay and we thoroughly enjoyed Marie’s apartment.

Host wasn’t aware I was arriving the day of. Even though I had messaged her with a ton of time prior. She gave my cousin attitude on the phone demanding to speak with me about the booking when she was the one who was wrong, we missed the opportunity to go out to dinner that night since she was unprepared. There were not enough towels for everyone who was staying there so she had to show up that night. Also didn’t love the fact that there was a camera in the kitchen, felt very invasive on our privacy during the stay. Everything else was fine.

Enttäuschendes Penthouse-Erlebnis

Ich war leider sehr enttäuscht von unserem Aufenthalt in diesem als "fantastisch" beworbenen Penthouse. In den Schlafzimmern fanden wir Schimmel an den Wänden, was inakzeptabel ist und definitiv nicht dem Standard einer Ferienwohnung entspricht. Auch die allgemeine Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig. Die Vermieterin war zwar sehr kommunikativ, aber geholfen hat es leider nicht.

Home away from home

My family of four spent a month in Spain. We stayed in this property for almost 3 weeks and it was perfect. Everything was clean and in working order when we arrived. The location is outside of the major tourist areas but public transportation system made it incredibly easy to go anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. The neighborhood is very charming. Everyone seems to know each other and were kind to us. There are lots of shops and a few restaurants within walking distance, and several options on Uber Eats for times when you just want to relax and maybe have dinner out on the terrace. The owner was very responsive and helpful. She allowed us to extend our stay with no issues. Our kids didn't want to leave. We would definitely recommend.

Quiet flat with a great terrace

The flat is a little outside the city centre but the transport links were pretty good. Situated on a road with a mini market, cafe, couple of restaurants, and bars within a minute's walk, nice terrace with afternoon sun.

L'appartamento è medio grande, in otto, tutti più o meno di famiglia, abbiamo dormito comodamente. Fondamentale la presenza di due bagni, la vicinanza alla fermata del bus e ad una panetteria strepitosa!!

Great location with a large outdoor terrace

Lots of space with all the appliance we needed and having a large outdoor space came very handy. Two full bathrooms was also an added value. Very quiet and close to everything in Aravaca.

Incredible

Flat is nice and clean in a really good neighborhood. Wifi was not great but it was fixed with a network cable to the laptop. Everything you need is close by and Marie is an excellent host. Really enjoyed our stay.

Splendid flat!

Spacious place at a quiet location! The terrace is a big plus, and is perfect to enjoy summer evenings. Flat is fully equipped for a trouble-free stay. Plenty of stores around the corner to buy groceries, daily necessities, and some more. Caroli Fish Market has an amazing assortment of fresh seafood a few steps away. Heladeria Livorno is a local classic spot five minutes away. Short bus ride to Principe Pio Metro Station. Excellent communication with Marie Pierre (host). We are looking forward to enjoying the place again soon.

El alojamiento está muy bien comunicado, muy cerca del transporte público. También hay muchos comercios cercanos donde comprar. La casa está muy bien y la terraza un lujo para comer y cenar al aire libre. Todo estaba muy limpio cuando llegamos y el espacio muy bien aprovechado. Lo recomendamos tanto para corta como larga estancia.

Muy buena experiencia

Nos encanto el alojamiento. Marie fue muy atenta y agradable. La zona es inmejorable; tranquila pero cerca del centro con parada de autobus justo al lado de la vivienda. Mucho comercio alrededor para necesidades diarias y la terraza es una gozada para disfrutar en familia o amigos. Nos hemos alojado 3 semanas y la experiencia ha sido de 10!!!

Very pleasant stay in a great spot of Madrid

Great location in a calm and upscale neighborhood, which combines some characteristics of the more traditional Madrid with great shops and stylish bars. The communication with Marie Pierre was excellent, she was always available when needed before our trip and during our stay. The penthouse has everything that you might need, including A/C which is very important. Also, the terrace is perfect to enjoy the summer nights. It's very easy to move around the area and to park if you drive. You will be within minutes to the city center and iconic places like Templo de Debod, Casa de Campo, Plaza de España. Also, well situated for excursions to the Sierra de Madrid.

Buen piso para pasar unos días en Madrid.

El alojamiento esta limpio y cuidado. Es un tercero sin ascensor pero cómodo de subir, en dos de las habitaciones la cama es sofá-cama que quizá sea la única pega. Los baños son amplios y cómodos. Amplia terraza que da mucha vida al piso. Fuimos con tres coches y encontramos siempre sitio al lado del piso sin problema.

Conveniente y económico

No era lo que nos esperábamos, las camas eran todas sofás y el espacio común muy pequeño, así que no creo que sea una casa para más de 3/4 personas. Las duchas de los baños no tragaban bien. Convendría poner en el anuncio que no dispone de horno. Por lo demás tiene una terraza estupenda y cerca de Madrid, muy cómodo y económico si buscas algo sencillo. Gracias!

Logement inadapté

Ce logement est fait pour 4 personnes malgré les 8 couchages et les deux salles d'eau : quand il pleut, il est impossible de vivre à 6 (nous étions 6) dans la petite pièce de vie. Une fois la petite table dépliée pour manger, on se retrouve assis sur les canapés avec l'assiette sur les genoux puisqu'il n'y a plus de place pour s'asseoir (de toute façon, il n'y a pas de chaise hormis les trois tabourets de bar). La télévision n'est qu'un écran puisqu'on ne peut pas recevoir les émissions espagnoles ou étrangères. C'est un logement qui n'est pas fait pour accueillir des vacanciers. Aucun document renseignant sur la ville et les transports n'était à notre disposition. Des canapés convertibles font office de lit dans deux des 3 chambres : leur propreté est douteuse. La terrasse est agréable malgré son manque de propreté. A notre arrivée, la table était couchée sur le champ. Nous avons dû nettoyer l'ensemble avant de pouvoir en profiter. Nous sommes très déçus de cette location car nous avons très souvent loué en Espagne par l'intermédiaire du site Homelidays et c'est la première fois que l'annonce ne correspond pas aux prestations.

Estupenda estancia en Penthouse de Aravaca

Apartamento muy bien situado en el centro de Aravaca, con conexión directa en tren con el aeropuerto de Madrid - Barajas. La estación está a 15 minutos a pie, y 5 minutos en bus, con parada al lado del alojamiento. El apartamento es grande, luminoso y con una magnífica y gran terraza. Está equipado con todos los útiles necesarios para una estancia perfecta. El tener dos baños aporta independencia y comodidad. Está rodeado de supermercados, cafeterías, restaurantes, farmacias, bancos y parada de taxis. En todo momento contamos con la ayuda e información de Marie para que la estancia fuese agradable. Totalmente recomendable.
