Fantastic house in the countryside

We loved our stay in Canterano. The house was amazing and the hosts went out of their way to make us feel welcome. On arrival they had drinks and delicious food waiting for us and were great providing information on what to do. The view from the house was spectacular and the pool was fantastic. A peaceful place to escape the crowds of Rome. Totally recommend.

himmlische Ferien

Nach einer langen (und verkehrsbedingt abenteuerlichen) Anreise wurden wir sehr herzlich empfangen, obwohl es bereits nach Mitternacht war! Wir waren noch nie in einem Ferienhaus, das so sauber und gepflegt war und mit soviel Geschmack und Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet war, Die Vermieter waren sehr diskret jedoch zugleich auch sehr hilfsbereit und sehr aufgeschlossen. Eigentlich mögen wir Hunde nicht so gern, Lillo jedoch ist ein äußerst braver und lieber Hund, den wir alle sofort ins Herz geschlossen haben. Der Pool und das gesamte Anwesen waren stets in einem sehr gepflegten Zustand. Zusammenfassend: wir vergeben 10 von 10 Punkten - 5 sind hier definitiv zu wenig!

Fantastic

An absolutely wonderful holiday and couldn't recommend more highly. The two hosts are absolutely lovely and make a serious effort to ensure that you are happy and comfortable. We were greeted with a wonderful tray of aperitif's and cold drinks and a lovely tour of the place. In our stay, Luigia cooked an authentic Italian meal for us which was to die for. Canterano is located approximately 50 mins from Rome in a beautiful mountainous valley and a wonderful church. Hire car is absolutely necessary to access the many supermarkets and restaurants in Subiaco, which is about 5km's away. The villa is located with a fantastic view and is adjoined with Luigia and Orlando's lovely house. There is a private veranda up the top or 'solarium' with sun loungers and table underneath a fold-able umbrella. The rooms are lovely and comfortable with everything needed and the house has a laundry for any washing needed. Finally, the owners have a lovely golden labrador called Lelo who is extremely friendly and is always happy to see you.

What a fantastic place for a holiday

The house was well eguipped, clean and beautifully set up. The salt water pool was a good size and clean with stunning views across the valley. The terrace upstairs was great, reasonably secluded and a great place to spend some relaxing time, particularly in the evening with a glass of wine. As for the hospitality, it has to be the best. The Panzini family made you feel so welcome and were helpful in all respects without being intrusive. We were lucky enough to spend an evening in Canterano with them, when the whole village was having a street party. The locals were friendly and it was truly a memorable experience that capped off our stay. If you want a beautiful, secluded place to stay that is only about an hours drive from Rome then this is the place for you.( Note. You definitely need car) Can't recommend it highly enough. Tutto perfetto!

Abbiamo trascorso due notti in questa infrastruttura e ne siamo rimasti entusiasti. La casa è spaziosa, molto bella dal punto di vista architettonico e l'allestimento di elettrodomestici e utensili vari è tale da non far mancare assolutamente nulla (sin nei minimi dettagli!). Quanto ai proprietari, siamo rimasti basiti da tanta cortesia e ospitalità! Estremamente disponibili, ci hanno accolti con grande calorosità e sino alla fine della permanenza non hanno mai fatto mancare un pensiero di cortesia ed accortezza nei nostri confronti. Consiglio vivamente di soggiornare in questo piccolo angolo di Paradiso...noi cercheremo sicuramente di farlo ancora.

Geweldige vakantie

Wij zijn een week (met zijn 3e) verbleven en dit mooi maar ook zeer schone huis. En hebben ontzettend genoten. Dat we aankwamen hadden de verhuurders allemaal lekkere Italiaanse hapjes voor ons klaar staan en wat drinken in de koelkast. De verhuurders zijn zeer vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het zwembad wordt elke avond en in de ochtend schoongemaakt, en ook fijn dat het een zoutwater zwembad is. De omgeving is ook een zeer leuke bijkomstigheid. En op 10 min afstand ligt er een ander leuk dorpje waar je zo de boodschappen kan halen. Ook naar Rome ben je zo met de auto, ook leuk de dorpen om Rome heen als bijv. Tivoli. Wij hebben een erg fijne vakantie gehad en zullen zeker nog eens terug keren

Geweldige vakantie

Echt een aanrader! Het huis is zeer schoon en alles is aanwezig. De eigenaren zijn ontzettend vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De perfecte plek om heerlijk tot rust te komen en om Rome en de plaatjes om Rome heen te ontdekken. Bedankt voor de fijne vakantie

Ronduit genoten!

Wat een warm welkom kregen we bij aankomst. Op de tafel stonden allerlei heerlijke italiaanse hapjes. Een schoon, ruim en mooi huis met een heerlijk dakterras. Er is aan alles gedacht van vaatwasser, tot wasmachine, lekkere zachte badlakens en zelfs heerlijke Nespresso koffie. Tussendoor werden we nog verwend met heerlijke italiaanse koeken en de laatste avond heeft de eigenaresse een heerlijke pasta maaltijd voor ons bereid. De eigenaren zijn heel gastvrij en willen je graag helpen om de mooiste plekjes uit de omgeving te kunnen bezoeken. Het was even zoeken naar het huis, maar de ligging is prachtig. Vanuit het zwembad heb je een prachtig uitzicht. Klein minpuntje is dat je met auto (10 minuten) naar de grote supermarkt in Subiaco moet. Voor de rest hebben we alleen maar genoten. Het was een heerlijke week. Thx!

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing

This was one of our best holidays ever. The hospitality of our hosts made us feel really special. The house was clean, well equiped and beautifully situated. We loved the area, enough sightseeing; lots of culture and scenery. The hosts gave great tips to explore the area and where to eat. We recommand this place to have a really relaxing holiday!
