We had a lovely stay here this week. The barn is really well equipped, comfy and clean. The hosts were there to greet us on arrival and explained everything we needed to know including surrounding walks and play areas. I would definitely recommend and would stay here again!
A beautiful location atop the Cotswold hills near Nailsworth…. The accommodation was clean, tidy and perfect for or needs. Our host was really helpful and present to answer anything we needed to know about the area.We will definitely return.
It's a lovely barn conversion, if anything the photos do not do it justice as it was bigger than we expected. Warm and comfy in January and very clean.Very remote and safe with the owners living in the house if ever needed, but they leave you to do as you like after checked in. Your neighbours will be the chickens you see out the window. It's at the top of a steep hill either side, so be aware you need to drive unless super fit and keen to hike up and down to the villages. Lovely location for that, a great local pub (The Hog) and then Nailsworth Village has a range of food and drink options, more than you would expect for a small village.
The property is amazing - spacious, clean, warm, and had everything you could want and more.
The local area is lovely, with ameneties just a short distance away.
I would definitely recommend the property and would have no problems in revisiting.
I would defi itelt recommend a
We found Swallows Rest to be exactly as described and was a bright clean and warm sanctuary, lovely to come back to each day after exploring and walking in the Cotswolds countryside. Could not fault it. Everything supplied and wonderful hosts. Nothing fancy but all goof.
Everything about this property was exactly as listed. Even receiving some lovely treata as a welcome.
The place was so clean and tidy. Everything easy to use and find.
Thank you for a wonderful stay. We loved it
A lovely hospitable farm, with variety of animals to see, albeit in a quiet location in the cotswolds. Easy to get to lots of places of interest, from there: towns, villages and walks.A location which is full of interest. Property had everything in it to make for a comfortable stay.
A nostro figlio è piaciuto tutto tantissimo.
We had a great time in the cottage. Plenty of space, things to do (walking, touring etc)… Accommodations were very clean and tidy. Made good use of the washer and dryer. Peaceful and quiet as well. Hosts were very welcoming. Would come back again.
Swallow's Rest is just as in the pictures and Jeannie was helpful and kind before, during and even after our stay when we came back as we'd lost a bag! Thanks so much.
Lovely welcoming host, great location. There us a narrow lane but its no problem. Lots of wildlife on the doorstep. Lovely walks nearby. Also close to Woodchester mansion and Westonburt areboretum.
The property was spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. There was a welcome chocolate cake, tea, coffee and milk. Also some lovely fresh eggs!
Well stocked with everything esp essential items including toilet rolls, dishwasher tablets and washing machine tablets. Handy to have a tumbledryer too.
Single beds were comfortable and there was plenty of bedding/ pillows.
The double mattress has a ridge down the centre which was a little uncomfortable. That was the only small gripe in an otherwise perfect stay.
Many thanks Jeannie. You were a great host and very accommodating.
Very bright and spacey. Any advertising "errors" worked in the host's favour, e.g. wifi speed of 25 is actually more than 200. Excellent value for money. I'm not sure we'll be in the area again but if so will not look for anything else. Jeannie super responsive on the rare occasions we had questions.
Weather threw everything (rain, snow - yes, and sunshine) at us but we were snug.
The lanes to Swallows Rest are pretty mucky (and potholed - but then where aren't they?) at this time of year but take things slowly and you'll be OK!
All in all a quiet (apart from the cows mooing - but we are on a farm!) spot with a nice big field for our little dog to run in.
Highly recommended.
We stayed for 3 nights and 4 days. Special thanks to the hosts, very friendly. Big house with big living room and good sized bed rooms. And lot of area outside the house for kids to play. Very peaceful location. We loved our stay.
Thanks jeannie and Brian👍
Hosts very welcoming, lovely treat of chocolate cake, tea milk and coffee, could not do enough for us, our little dog loved it also, very tranquil, beautiful scenery. Cannot wait to book again for this year
