Mayfair might be fashionably frenetic, but South Molton Street exudes calm. The shops of Oxford Street and Bond Street are just moments away, but you’d never know it from up here. Stepping into the home, the skylit sitting room is opposite the front door, with a view down into the street below. There are several Eastern artworks here – there’s a painted screen mounted on the wall, and an ornate sculpture perched on a ceiling beam. Dark wooden furniture and pale textiles keep things feeling calm. There’s dining space for two, and the kitchen, next door, holds everything you’ll need beneath its jet-black worktop.

Just to the right of the front door, the master bedroom has a king-size bed and another arrangement of artworks. Open the door to find a spacious ensuite, with a walk-in shower and burnished black tiles.:
