Loved the location and amenities of this place and Rebecca was lovely to deal with. Thanks for making our visit in Rome comfortable! We really appreciated the air conditioning!!
Clean and centrally located flat with coffee shop and mini market right next door. Within walking distance to Spanish steps and other key spots. Thank you, Rebecca! We enjoyed our stay!!♥️
The property itself is a wonderful location and very spacious and comfortable, however we were most impressed by the graciousness of our hostess, Rebecca. Our flight was canceled and then our luggage rerouted and delayed further. Rebecca connected us with the cafe owner downstairs to help us in retrieving the luggage when it was delivered so that we could attend a scheduled city tour . After all the stress from a disrupted trip, it was very refreshing to have such a caring hostess on site to greet us for check in and then follow up.
The unit is as described, walking distance to most everything. While it is technically in Trastevere, it definitely feels on the outskirts of the neighborhood (not right in the thick of the sidewalk restaurants, enoteca, etc) which was fine.
if I could I would give it 4.5 stars bc of the checkin process. There was a lot of communication between The host and us leading up to our check-in, but there was zero mention of the euro that we would require for some sort of occupancy tax until a few hours, prior to our arrival. If I would’ve known, I would have changed some dollars to euro at the airport. Unfortunately, it required about an extra 45 minutes of me trying to find an ATM upon check-in, walking around in 90° June in Rome. Also there are 2 flights of stairs to the unit- good to know if you have mobility issues. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay.
We could not have asked for a better place to stay to start our trip to Rome!! The location was absolutely perfect and centrally located if you wanted to get to the Vatican, Spanish steps or Trevi fountain, everything was within a 15 minute or so walk. Rebecca was an incredible host, allowing us to check-in several hours early so we didn't have to store our luggage anywhere. She was very responsive if we had a question and helped us get the lay of the land when we arrived. We would 100% stay here again, if it is available!
What a great stay! Our biggest mistake is that we didn’t really understand just how close we were to everything for at least a day. If you get there in the evening, just turn R out your door and follow the street for about a 10-15 walk and then there are endless great restaurants to settle you in! Thank you, Rebecca!
Very Large! Get location to St Peters! 7 min walk!
Be aware of the loud sirens all day long! You cannot hear them that much in the bedrooms at night! Two bathrooms were great! Overall a great stay. Suggestion could be to have some shampoo/conditioner
This was our first time to Rome and first time in a VRBO property, and we had a great experience! Rebecca was a great host. She was very responsive and accommodating. There were 5 of us including 3 kids in their early 20’s and this apt had plenty of room. It was great to have 2 bathrooms and the shower was awesome. We didn’t have any issues at all. The location was great with just a short walk to the Vatican and piazza Navona.
The Trastevere Cottage was the perfect location for our family of 4 ( 2 parents of 2 university age young people).
It is close to many of the major attractions in the city. Access to public transit, bikes for rent, or Uber are all options.
A luggage storage is available very near to the apartment - in case you need to drop your bags early or store them for the day you depart.
Rebecca was so pleasant when she welcomed us in person. She went over all the details of the beautiful and well stocked apartment. Complete with resourceful books about art and history of Rome( perfect for a read after your guided tours).
It is a bit noisy with sirens in the morning rush hour- but we were up and out early in the day anyway.
We loved our stay here. Would come back again. Thank you!
I’m giving this place five stars because it’s even bigger than the pictures and we had a great stay. My only quibble/warning for others is for street noise, if you care about that: the front door of this place opens onto the busiest, fastest moving street in Rome, so if you are here in summer and need the windows open, it would be truly, constantly loud. Besides the incessant 40mph traffic below the window there is an ambulance every 5 minutes or so due to the giant hospital nearby, you hear them coming for miles it seems. Thankfully we were there in spring so we could keep the windows closed, otherwise there is only air conditioning in the low ceiling bedroom with the large bed, so I think it would be crazily loud all night.
THE UNIT: large and gorgeous. This is a two-floor apartment that occupies the top two floors of a four-floor building. So it’s got some stairs: a narrow staircase to the front door, then one inside. The front windows are small, but they look out over the river and a castle, which is freaking amazing. A busy street runs right below, it’s basically a highway, but you are high above it. 6 stars for view.
The kitchen and living room are on lower floor, with both bathrooms and both bedrooms upstairs. (1.5 baths). The space is great and even bigger than pictures show. Without the noise and with bigger windows it would be amazing.
LOCATION: really great. 10 minute walk to St. Peter’s, which was my favorite.
Wonderful property that was perfect for our family trip to Rome. King sized bed was a nice surprise and the bunk beds in the 2nd bedroom were very comfortable according to my 19 year old daughter. Rebecca was a perfect host, accommodating and very communicative. She showed us how to use the clothes washer (no dryer, but lots of drying racks), and how to turn on the heat. The house did take a while to warm up, but once it did, stayed warm the whole week. The WiFi was strong and we had no issues with it. My husband was able to get some work done while we were there. Also there were quite a few tour books and guides on the bookshelves for us “old school travelers.” We were able to walk mostly everywhere. Vatican City was a 15 minute walk, as were the amazing restaurants in Trastevere. If we needed an Uber or bus, all transportation was very convenient. Small market downstairs for food staples, cafe also downstairs for our daily cappuccino and cornetto, and the daily green market in Trastevere was only a 15 minute walk away. I highly recommend booking a walking food tour of Trastevere through a tour company if you aren’t familiar with the area. We learned so much and got lots of great tips on where to eat. The kitchen in the home had everything we needed to make quick meals when we didn’t want to go out. The two bathrooms were clean and the water was hot and plentiful.
Would definitely stay here again when we come back to Rome.
We stayed here for 6 nights.Rebecca was most kind and patient as we were late getting there. We had every thing we needed. The space was amazing and location was perfect! You can walk everywhere and many options near buy for basics.I didn't want to leave! I shall return.
We really enjoyed our stay here. The location is great: near the Vatican and the city center. Our kids liked the appartment as well, as it is quite large with nice bedrooms. Probably the dishwasher has to be replaced, as it isn’t functioning well anymore. Thanks Rebecca for the nice contact.
Great apartment in a great location. This place has a cool vibe, and is minutes walk to the Vatican. Another few minutes in the opposite direction and you have a multitude of restaurants to choose from.

PERFECT!
This was my third trip to Rome, and by far my favorite place we've stayed. LOCATION was wonderful: right next to the Vatican, but also easy to hop across the bridge to the main tourist sights. CLEAN, clean, clean! We were traveling with our toddler, who always manages to find some way of hair or dirt on our trips, but this home was one of the cleanest we have ever used. The hostess was just so lovely, accommodating, and helpful. And finally, the HOME... wow! Even better than the pictures. We were traveling with my parents, and my mom is an interior designer. She was enamored with this home and all of its character. We would stay again and again. *If you are driving and require parking, just know the closest parking garage is a bit pricey (We paid 90 Euros for 2 days), but that's to be expected in a city center.

Fabulous apartment. Lots of character, living space and great views and location. Loved it!
The apartment is even better than the photos suggest. A real find! Rebecca was a wonderful host who replied to messages really quickly and was very helpful. It was lovely to be met in person rather than reading through a folder of info. The place was spotlessly clean. Would definitely go back if we’re lucky enough to return to Rome!

Perfect location - Great Service
We stayed 3 days and it was perfect. Very spacious and clean and had all the charm you expect to find in the ancient city!
Rebecca was fantastic to deal with and always right on top of communications despite time zone differences. We noticed that their hand-dryer had mysteriously disappeared from the that guest and she replaced it within 3 hours of us letting her know.
Would definitely recommend this to my closest friends!!
