About this property

Le Murier is a holiday home for six persons in the Dordogne four kilometres from picturesque medieval St. Cyprien. It has a wonderful view on all sides. Ideal for lovers of quietness, nature, panoramic views and all Dordogne has to offer such as medieval towns and castle, prehistoric sites and canoeing on the river. At circa 5 km distance there are two golf courts of 18 holes and a 5 minutes drive takes you to the river. The house is on a small dead end lane on a hill. it has two terraces one near the house and the other near the small pool. The holiday home is situated on a large terrain. There is plenty of privacy.

In the stylishly decorated home you will find a completely equipped kitchen annex dining and livingroom with a wood burner, on the mezanine (entre sol) a modern audio set, TV and DVD-player. In the completely equipped kitchen there are amongst others a dishwasher, a refrigerator and a gas stove and an oven. Of course there is access to the internet via Wi-Fi. Down stairs there is one double bedroom and bath room with shower, wash basin, washing machine. On the topfloor there are two bedrooms one with two singel beds and the other with a double bed. There is an cleaning fee for the cleaning lady of 75 euro. The caretaker speaks English, French and Dutch

Very enjoyable

Great holiday. Shame the weather wasnt a little warmer but glad we also avoided the heatwave the week before! Nice property but didnt use the pool (looked as though it should have been filled higher, just saying). Shame about the construction vehicles next door. A little bit too noisy at times. But plenty of space inside, clean and well equipped.

excursion familiale en Dordogne

Nous avons passé une excellente semaine dans cette belle maison, où rien ne manque. La literie est parfaite, et l'aménagement des pièces est très agréable, cocooning. La localisation est idéale pour des balades au départ de la maison (à pied ou en vélo) et les sites touristiques sont très proches. Jacob est un ôte disponible et à l'écoute, notre arrivée légèrement anticipée ne fut pas un problème. La cerise sur le gâteau était d'écouter les disques vinyles en fin de journée, de bons moments

Tout est parfait ! Le gîte est bien amenagé, bien équipé, très confortable et au calme. Un grand jardin avec son potager et ses arbres fruitiers La piscine mériterait d'être un peu plus grande mais là encore, c'est si bien amenagé que cet endroit est très agréable. A recommander !

Belle maison en Perigord noir

Nous avons passé un très bon séjour d’une semaine dans cette maison très au calme. Le jardin est magnifique ainsi que l’espace piscine. Nous avons pu manger en extérieur tous les jours malgré une météo parfois capricieuse grâce aux différents abris (arbres, préau de la piscine). Très bon accueil de Jacob. Nous gardons l’adresse pour un futur séjour et la conseillerons à nos amis sans hésitation.

Relaxing holiday

The house a in a lovely quiet location with everything that we needed for a relaxing holiday. The pool was great for cooling off after the heat of day and the trees offered plenty of natural shade. Edith and Jacob were very helpful with our booking and during our stay. We would certainly consider another visit.

Un petit coin de paradis

Le murier est une maison de campagne parfaite pour des vacances en famille. Elle est très spacieuse, bien équipée, confortable et chacun y trouve son espace de tranquillité. C'est comme à la maison, le soleil, les vacances et la petite piscine en plus. Edith et Jacob sont adorables et très accueillants, ils font tout leur possible pour que les vacances soient parfaites. L'espace piscine est très agréable, un peu en hauteur, ombragé et éclairé la nuit. L'environnement est calme, sans être isolé, et central pour les points d'intérêts touristiques. Même s'il n'est pas possible de chercher son pain à pied, la première boulangerie n'est qu'à 5 minutes en voiture. Un grand merci à Edith et Jacob pour avoir contribué à nos si belles vacances.

This house is lovely, spacious, and traditional while modern: It felt like winning the lottery.

We stayed in this house during a very hot week. Yet, this house and its surroundings made the heat acceptable and even enjoyable. The house was able to keep out the warmth. In the mornings and evenings we could enjoy a small wind flowing over the valley hills (on which this house is located). And, of course, the private swimming pool was highly enjoyable during the warmest parts of the day. This house has many lovely places to sit and eat outdoors: next to the entrance, under the large shady tree, under the cover next to the swimming pool, and in various other places. There is just so much space surrounding this home. Indoors was great as well. Because of the spacious setup and all the natural light (wide windows), we never felt confined. The kitchen and bathrooms are top-notch. The living room is cozy (while spacious), with several seating arrangements on the first and second floor (which has a balcony) and many original elements. At nights, the various lamps allowed us to create a nice sphere as well. Marnac is nicely located, just outside St Cyprienne, a 10 to 20 minutes drive to Beynac, Castlenaud, La Roque Gageac, and Sarlat (to the east) and to Les Eyzies and Bugue (to the north). Last but not least, the home owners (Edith and Jacob) were very nice, welcoming, and helpful. We only saw them at the start and end of our stay, but we could easily contact them if need be (but: no need). Halfway through our stay, they contacted us to ensure everything was OK. Clearly, it was (again: great house!). All in all, we give you the strongest recommendation!

Un séjour inoubliable

Séjour très agréable et reposant dans cette magnifique maison tout confort. Les propriétaires sont très chaleureux et ont à coeur que leurs locataires se sentent bien. Si nous revenons dans la région (ce qui est propable car la région ne nous a pas encore révélée tous ces trésors), nous reviondrons certainement ici.
