Hawaiian Paradise

We enjoyed this beautiful home in the North Shore of Hawaii. The views from the covered porch were dramatic and extraordinary. We could whale watch from the porch!!!!! The ocean and waves and the mountain were incredible to watch. We went on many day trips and excursions and always enjoyed coming back to watch the sunset and night sky

A Slice of Heaven.

I can't say enough about our stay here. The amazing sunsets - varied every night. The North Shore things to do - always in no rush. The background sound of the crashing waves - so relaxing. The first leg of the World Surfing Championships a 20 minute walk to the Banzai Pipline. And yes, the chickens everywhere and the calls of the roosters. The most relaxing vacation I've ever had. Older home, needs updates, but great views

We stayed on the property for 30 days in July and August, 2024. We had teenagers through senior citizens, one of which had knee replacement surgery earlier this year. The photos of the property did not accurately portray the number of stairs. There were 20 stairs up the front of the house, 10 up the back, and 10 down to the beach. It would have been nice to see all these stairs so that we could have made an informed decision on whether or not to book this house. Other than the stairs, there was a lot to like, and a lot to dislike. Positives: -Great location. It’s right by Shark’s Cove, and if you are able, it’s a short walk. There is a grocery store near by as well, though they are very expensive and it’s worth a trip to Target or Walmart to save a lot of money. -The views. You really can’t beat the beach views. We saw plenty of dolphins, beautiful sunsets, and lots of people watching! -The team was very responsive. We ran out of propane and we got a replacement within a couple of days. When the power went out, we called, and were able to talk to someone right away. (The power came back on within the hour.) -There is an outside shower that we used a lot! It comes in handy when you’re covered in sand. Negatives: -There is so much traffic. Not so much an issue with the house, but be aware that depending on the time of day and direction you are heading, a “quick” trip can take over an hour. -The alley is a narrow one lane road. It is not a one way road which means you wil

Absolutely wonderful.

This home has everything you need to have a successful stay and is well cared for. The location is impressive, each day we saw dolphins from the deck and the snorkeling was fun as well. Other days there were crashing waves so it was bell balanced for everyone. We stayed for a month with our two teenage sons. Plenty or space for privacy and hanging together. Strongly recommend this home.

Nice location. Comfortable home. Easy grab and go beach gear. Some things that could use an upgrade include the bikes and kitchen items such as skillets and additional glassware was needed.

Paradise on the beach!

This house was wonderful! The property is one that faces the beach/ocean directly. You have private, stair access right to the beach-shared only with the other houses in the street. You can enjoy your morning coffee and evening sunset staring at the water. Incredibly helpful is the fact that under the house there are beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, and more! All you need to stay at the beach-shared even provides a cooler to take to the beach. The house is very pretty and the location is simply amazing!

Amazing views, excellent location!

We had a wonderful time in Oahu staying in this great home. The location is perfect, the beach is beautiful and not crowded. We loved everything about our trip and this home. Cindy was great from the time of booking until checkout. We had no hiccups or issues with the home during our stay. We would definitely stay here again!

Feels like home!

My family stayed here for spring break and enjoyed it so much. It was nice to be far away from crowded, tourist-filled Waikiki, The house location is perfect. It is set back from the main road, so it is very quiet and private. We could walk to the grocery store, food trucks, and beaches. The house had a beautiful view of the ocean. We could sit on the back deck and watch the waves crash on the shore and see the sunset each evening. We could also see whales off in the distance. I recommend bringing binoculars. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed. I can't think of anything I would change, except I wish we could have stayed more than a week. We would definitely stay here again. Cindy was very easy to work with, and everything went smoothly.

Well thought out vacation rental - easy to keep clean - very responsive owner/manager

This rental exceeded our expectations and most importantly the management responded quickly to minor issues that developed. They even trimmed/removed a tree that under certain wind conditions would bang against the house roof and make a racket. Early in our stay the living room furniture was replaced with very comfortable chairs and a new sofa. The condition of the house was very good to excellent. I would not hesitate to strongly recommend this house to anyone who wants to visit the North Shore of Ohau

Wonderful place to stay on North Shore!

Our family LOVED staying at Cindy's home on North Shore. The location was incredible. Walking just steps to the beach, seeing whales off the deck and enjoying rainbows and sunsets from the deck was truly amazing. The home was just steps to Shark's Cove, which was a family favorite. A daily walk to the market for Poke was a highlight for lunch. The accommodations were wonderful and the beach equipment available for guests was very well thought out and appreciated. The kitchen is well stocked also. Beds were very comfortable. The family room furniture was a bit uncomfortable, but everything else was great! Cindy was very nice and easy to work with. We are all hoping to stay there again in the future and would highly recommend this property to everyone. Thank you for a wonderful lifelong memory for our family.

PERFECT for a family vacation to the North Shore!

Cindy's home was nothing short of amazing! We had the most spectacular family vacation because of how intimate, accommodating, and beautiful the space is! We were a group of 3 couples and a 1 year old and never felt cramped. The kitchen had everything you need to make a big family dinner. We enjoyed the easy beach access and the bikes! Just a 5 min bike ride to local food trucks, foodland, and snorkeling at sharks cove! Sunsets are gorgeous from the patio and we stargazed at night in the lawn! Cindy was super responsive when I reached out with questions! We will for sure be back! Thanks Cindy!

This is an awesome home with a great view and great layout for multiple people.

This home is comfortable with a great location. We spent most of our time on the lani which has an awesome view of the ocean and accessibility to the beach. Very quiet and peaceful. The layout of the house was perfect as the large windows give you a view whether you were inside or out. It is within walking distance to stores, food trucks and beaches and, most importantly, Sharks cove. We would recommend this place to anyone staying on the North Shore.

Facilities great but management response lacking

The house & property were exactly as described. Thoughtful extras - boogie boards, water shoes, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, etc were so nice to have. However, we had several small issues which were not addressed except for delayed (2 days in one case) responses that were basically “I’m sorry” but nothing else. We even had to purchase several items for the house - which both Cindy & the owner should have been there with no offer for reimbursement. Bottom line - if all goes well, it’ll be a memorable stay but don’t expect exceptional service from property manager.

Excellent North Shore location

We stayed 5 days in North Shore and couldn't be happier in the location and house. The ACs worked great and the grill had extra propane so we didn't run out. The views and sunsets are amazing. Sharks Cove, food trucks and groceries are just a short walk away. We did end up buying our on snorkeling equipment, which was fine since we used them so much on Oahu and Maui. The ones available were either broken or didn't fit. There were also bikes and paddle boards available, which is awesome. We all felt it was an overall great value and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family. And not to forget, the Tao Luau is a mile away and the most personal and interesting one I've been to. And the setting is in the beautiful Waimea Bay Park.

Best place to stay on the North Shore

Ok no place is perfect but this was close, especially for the price! I read a previous review that was negative, there are things you can’t control, it’s Hawaii so the traffic can be bad at times. And the knifes weren’t the sharpest (but they had a sharpener that fixed that) the Fridge worked perfectly if you shut the door (my kids are use to our fridge that shuts Easily) and no “toilet” problems, some people like to find the negative and focus on it. Let me do the opposite. We had an air conditioned (which is needed don’t let anyone say otherwise) Home on the beach that is NOT crowded. a 4 minute walk from amazing snorkeling (go in the morning you will Have shark cove to yourself) we saw rays, turtles, and all kinds of amazing fish, less then thirty minutes from the PCC and zip lines one direction and then 10 from scuba and surf lessons, the other way. A hike to a waterfall you can swim in, 7 min away. A chocolate pie that is amazing with a Hawaiian bbq chicken sandwich you have to try at teds 5 min away. Sunsets that should Be on a postcard. Quite, peaceful, Great beds tons of space even with 6 people. Fast WiFi tons of beach stuff to use (snorkels mask water shoes boogie boards surf boards and bikes). When we come back we will stay here again!

Clean, private, quiet, and high ceilings

The house was clean, private, & safe. It needs a little updating (outside of house needs painting and sofa cushion could use updating). A few issues: the front gate code was changed & we were not told the new code, then second gate was broken & we couldn't get in. Had to walk-in, then ride the bike down so the gate would open, so that we could drive into the parking lot. Guest bthrm got clogged & had to be snaked, after it was, it still had low pressure so didn't have anyone do #2 into it. (sorry, TMI) The fridge is older & stopped working but we rebooted it 2x and it worked. Cindy was very pleasant but response time was not immediate. The bikes, beach chairs, snorkel, and stuff are a bit warn and not complete, but usable. One working paddle board with no life vest so bring your own. Ted's Bakery was good, but don't bother with the fish taco/shrimp truck by Sharks Cove. Ridiculously expensive and terrible! $5.75 for a ONE TINY terrible tasting fish taco! Knives in the kitchen need sharpening. It's very dangerous to use dull knives. Thankfully, my friend is a chef and brings his own knives. The AC and grill works great! The view was fantastic! The beach is a bit of a walk over hot sand but worth it. (Watch the changing surf! Some days swimmable, other days, dangerous to go in) The beach out front is also not crowded and mainly locals or folks living/renting one of the houses. Walk to Sharks Cove is easier along the bike path and has great snorkeling if waves are calm. Traffic is horrendous around the area. It's been quite awhile since I visited Oahu and I am shocked by the traffic! Every time we drove into Haleiwa, Kailua, or Honolulu we had traffic (wasn't necessarily peak traffic hours too) Foodland is a 10 minute walk which is convenient but only good for basics. It doesn't have a great produce or meat selection. We picked up some essentials at Costco on the way up. There's a Wholefoods in Kailua but its a drive to the other side of the island. Beds were comfortable, sheets & towels were nice & plenty of soap/shampoo, I recommend putting out the garbage when the trucks come by, otherwise you will have a lot of garbage by the end of the week. Beaches we enjoyed were Sunset Beach (15 min bike ride north) and Pu ana Beach (shady beach with good snorkeling and surfing) Good close-by eats: Haleiwa Beach house, Haleiwa Joe's, Bansai Sushi, Matsumotos Shaveice. Kaana Farms Zipline 10 minutes north (if no traffic) was fun! (and I'm scared of heights!)

Great vacation for our family!

Everything was great! There were some minor (normally expected for a rental property) issues that I had to call Cindy about and each time she replied promptly and solved the issues within a timely manner. The house was clean and inviting. AC is important to me, even in Hawaii where the weather is perfect, and they worked great in all areas of the house. I loved the location and would say it’s one of the best things about the rental. The location couldn’t be better in my opinion. We had a great, fun, relaxing and exciting vacation.

The Hibiscus house was absolutely wonderful. Great views, well-stocked and great amenities.

The Hibiscus house was such a joy to stay at. Very private along with beautiful views. The house was fully stocked with pots and pans, beach towels, coolers and all the beach toys you want. With everything so beautiful we did have two minor issues, one was that the blow dryer in the guest bathroom did not work and the coffee pot had a crack in it so it had a slow leak. We left a note so that these issues could be resolved for the next tenants. I would definitely recommend this place for any of my family members and friends. I hope that I will be able to come back and stay sometime in the future. Highly recommended.
