We had a wonderful stay at the place once we got there. We had to arrive late in the evening due to working. The house was not lit at all. The house numbers were not visible. I had to take my chances and walk up to the house at night and look under the door mat. That was very scary and an uncomfortable situation . I would suggest exterior motion sense lighting I didn’t know if I was at the correct house and had to walk up and look under the door mat. For a family that is scary. Overall a wonderful stay. Adding some beach towels and chairs would be an added plus.
We celebrated our 62nd wedding anniversary by staying at May’s Place. The house was clean and well equipped for a couple or young family of three or four total people. The neighborhood was quiet. It was a 3 to 4 block walk to the beach. Lisa, at the property management office, is a nice person, helpful and very professional
I got to share Christmas with my beautiful daughters. One came from Bend, one from Denver, and one from Pittsburgh. We had a fabulous time while in Seaside. Even though we hit some crazy weather we were able to enjoy beach. I hadn’t been there since my girls were under the age of 9 and they are all in their 20’s.
Place was cute and cozy, neighborhood was quiet and we felt safe the entire time. House was clean. Location was a few min walk to the beach and a good central location to explore the area.
My wife and I visited our grandkids in Seaside. My daughter, son-in-law and their infant son stayed with us. It was clean, great location, and was perfect for our visit. Only thing we wish was there was a hair dryer.
The house met our needs and expectations for a week away with our small family. The location was great for walking to the beach, playground and to the town.
Cute little place in a nice quiet neighborhood; just a couple blocks from the beach and 5 minutes from the Promenade, arcades, shopping and great restaurants! We will definitely be coming back
We enjoyed our stay with the open concept. Had a long porch around front. Very close to the beach and in a quiet neighborhood. We would stay here again.
The house was clean, the managers were extremely responsive even after hours, it's a great location for walking and riding a bike, and being within walking distance of the beach was a real plus.
The House was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Lots of windows for natural light and ventilation.
We will definitely stay there again
Very pleased with this property. Lots of windows, vaulted ceilings, and plenty of floor space. Close walk to the prom and the beach. Will definitely stay here again,
We loved our time at May's! What a great little spot. There were only 3 of us and it was perfect. Quick walk to the beach which was away from the busier areas. Fully stocked with everything we needed, along with wifi/cable! Can't wait to book again soon!

Spacious and close to beach!
We enjoyed the property. Plenty of room for the three of us and our two small dogs. My only suggestion would be to put non-sheer curtains in the bedrooms. But otherwise loved it and would like to stay there again!
This was the perfect place for our little family! We loved the coziness and beach cabin feel. Only a few minutes to walk to the beach and it’s away from the crowded area by downtown. We only needed to use one of the bedrooms and were surprised how comfy the bed was! The only thing that could’ve been better was having more toilet paper stocked in the bathroom. Will be coming back on our next Seaside trip!

Always happy at the beach
Because we spent most of our 3 days outdoors in paradise, we tolerated the flaws of the rental, which started with the House Rules posted on the refrigerator, beginning with a reference to the care of the hot tub and dishwasher, neither of which were anywhere on the property. The space worked ok for 4 family members sharing the one bathroom. There were ample towels and bedding and dishware, and the new washing machine and dryer worked well. We were disappointed by poor lighting in the kitchen and living room, with burned out lightbulbs in each room. The large main stove burner did not work. In the queen bedroom was a drawer handle on the chest of drawers was missing, the folding closet door was missing a handle for opening, and the entrance door was crashed and broken and needs to be replaced. And there was no corkscrew in the kitchen supplies! But proximity to the Promenade and beach is the primary plus.
The house was clean and tidy in all rooms and spaces. The wood floor and wood paneling on the high ceiling was a nice added touch so when we were at home we were in a comforting atmosphere.
The short walk to the ocean, amenities and fun in town was just a pleasant stroll up and down the beach or promenade, foregoing automobile usage which is so nice.

September fun at the beach
What a wonderful spot for a beach house, two short blocks from the Prom. We loved walking the wide flat path then down to the beach and back to May's Place. The weather was great and Seaside had a classic car show downtown. The house had everything we needed to feel at home. We played ping pong and rode the bikes to the market. I highly recommend this place for a couple or two or small family. We brought our blue healer and he had a blast on the beach. I hope to come back next year. The management office was easy to find and Katy gave me saltwater taffy with the keys.

Run Down, Dirty and Not Worth the Money
The cabin has so much potential, but it certainly is not living up to it. It is the sort of place I would like to buy and remodel. Its bones are great and the location is as well. Yet, renting it in its current condition was not enjoyable. It badly needed a deep cleaning. The floor was filthy. It looked like there were blood spots on the bedroom floor, so I wiped it up to find I had also wiped up a lot of black dirt. There were cobwebs everywhere and spiders all over the bathroom. The shower curtain had pink scum. I was afraid to sleep in the bed. The sheets were rough and worn and looked like they came from the Goodwill. Then the toilet overflowed into the living area. The shower drain ran slow. It was a disaster! I spent half a day cleaning up the mess and trying to get ahold of management. The manager did not answer the phone and her voicemail was full so I couldn't leave a message. I had to drive to the office to get help. Then all they did was take my phone number. Someone did respond shortly after and she sent someone to clean and also check the plumbing. I had already cleaned up most of the mess myself by then. That was not a fun way to use my vacation days! The question I have is why did I pay a cleaning fee? It was not clean! Last September, I rented another house for basically the same price. It was beautiful, clean and had lovely linens and towels. In my opinion, they are asking way too much for this place in regards to what you can find for the same price. They should either clean this dump up and do some serious remodeling or lower the price to reflect what they are providing. Every appliance in the cabin needs replacing. They all had some quirk and showed wear. The washing machine smelled like mold. I cleaned that too. I pulled dirty pots from the cupboard and washed them as well. I am giving one star here since management was responsive. I would highly recommend choosing another place unless some serious remodeling is done. Also, make sure that you are aware of the fees as I paid half and then found out there were more fees to be paid that were not listed. To management's credit, they didn't make me pay the fee that was not quoted before I made a payment. Funny thing, I was told the damage deposit was in case "I left a mess or stole something." Seriously, everything in that place looks like it came from the Goodwill! I left the place cleaner than I entered it! It was a total rip off.
