About this property
A luxurious romantic retreat for two.
Broomers Barn is a beautifully appointed single-storey, wooden-clad barn located in a very pretty and peaceful setting. Full length bi-folding doors open up from the spacious and bright living space onto a private decked area and gardens, with uninterrupted views over the surrounding countryside.
With light flooding in through the generous glazing, the ambience at Broomers Barn is warm and welcoming. The contemporary furnishings are both elegant and cosy, and the sleek kitchen is fully equipped with all the essentials, including the all importance coffee machine, bean to cup no less! When it's time for bed, a romantic space awaits, with velvet curtains, French styling and a Hypnos mattress you won't want to leave!
Outside, the modern deck invites you take a moment of calm to contemplate the breath-taking surrounding countryside by day; and by night, take full advantage of the dark skies, and stargaze next to the firepit.
The accommodation is all on one level with wide doorways and no internal steps; a ramp can be provided on request for easier access across the lip at the entrance to the property.
The village of Richard's Castle straddles two counties, Herefordshire and Shropshire. Broomers Barn is situated at the south end of the village, approximately 3 miles from the gastronomic centre of Ludlow with its famous castle. The property offers easy access to some lovely walks, the village church, a pub, and the ruins of its namesake, the original Norman fortress, built around 1050 by Richard Scrope as a part of the English border defence against the Welsh. The castle now exists only as a ruin.
Guests can sharpen their appetites by walking to the nearby village of Orleton (one mile away) and enjoy a meal at one of two village pubs, both offering food and local ales.
Additional Information:
Baby in own Moses basket welcome.
Please add a comment to your on-line booking or telephone our bookings team should you require use of the wheelchair ramp.
