The house was an old farmhouse with an addition. There were 5 adults and our grandkids ages 12 to 18. Everything was supplied with the house including toilet paper and paper towels, linens and plenty of cooking items. One slight drawback was the window unit ACs. I must say we had temps in the high 80's and some 90's. The ad said the house was fully AC'd but there was no AC in the kitchen where we spent most of our time. It relied on the bedroom and family room AC to keep it cool. In the high temps with humidity it was a little uncomfortable but sleeping in all rooms was always nice (that darn sun during the day!). The pool was large and heated to 80 degrees. We all enjoyed our vacation at this home and would recommend it. The owners should be proud of the accommodations. There is a large Stop and Shop and shopping center very close to the house and it's not far from Yarmouth.
My wife and I wanted a place to spend a week on Cape Cod for us and our two children’s families (6 adults, 4 children 7-13). All the children are great swimmers so when we found this perfectly sized house WITH A POOL we quickly decided to rent it.
It was perfect in many ways. Bed configuration was great: three separate rooms for the adults and a room with four single beds for the kids. The kitchen/dining area had a table and chairs to comfortably seat all 10 of us. Living Room has a large sectional sofa, ideal for watching the living room TV.
We enjoyed Craigville and Dowses beaches but realized later that Loop Beach would have been closer and likely less crowded.
Quick access to grocery and donut shops nearby facilitated daily runs which the expert cooks of the family took advantage of.
There are 3 TVs in the house. None are connected to the house WiFi but have a good selection of Xfinity channels. I happened to have the cable components (HDMI cable + HDMI/Lightning adaptor) necessary to connect our Apple devices to an open HDMI port on the living room TV. This proved very good for projecting streaming services from an iPhone/iPad to the living room TV. The kids would have been disappointed not to be able to watch movies in the evenings.
Many places on The Cape are jammed with traffic. We loved this place because it is off of the main road (Route 28) making it a quiet retreat in the woods for walks on roads with little traffic.
We had an issue with the gas grill and we lost hot water for part of one day but communication with the owner was great and he had a plumber there to repair the issue before the day ended. We would stay at this home again!!!
This house was perfect for our family vacation! The kids loves having the pool and walking down to the boat docks daily. The house is also convenient to everything you need. John was great to work with and we are looking forward to hopefully going back next year!
We had such a wonderful family vacation. The house was beautifully maintained and cozy. We took advantage of the BBQ and the pool was wonderful. Located perfectly … so close to do many activities. Loved taking morning walks in the neighborhood. Just beautiful. Perfect for a family with a little baby. And the amenities were great. Thanks to the owners for a wonderful vacation.
My family had the best week here! The location was great and just a quick drive to everywhere we wanted to go. The house was so comfortable and had lots of space for our family and was stocked with all of the basics which was so helpful. The pool was absolutely perfect! John was a perfect host and so incredibly responsive to any questions and concerns. Thank you so much for a great week!
This house is a small part of history that's been modernized, while not losing its original charm. It has everything you need and is secluded without being too far. Grocery stores and other local shops only a short drive away in either direction. Having a local beach pass and a heated pool was a huge bonus. John was a great host and communication was easy.
We had a great stay! There were 5 of us and we had plenty of room to spread out. The house was exactly as described and the location was convenient. The kids had a fabulous time in the pool!
We spent two wonderful weeks at John’s house which was exactly as described and very clean when we arrived. The pool is amazing: 9ft deep at one end, a great temperature all the time and it get some shade from some trees in the morning, and the house in the late afternoon. There’s a bbq at the house too which we made good use of. There were 9 of us (four adults and five children) and the house accommodated us well. There’s a big grocery store 3 mins drive from the house, as well as a liquor store and pharmacy. John was a great host. He’s very quick in responding to any questions and keen to help wherever he could.
We really enjoyed the time we spent at this home with our family. The pool was a huge added bonus to the charming home. The location was quiet and convenient distance to grocery store.
Great for family vacation with multiple generations. Great location with plenty of privacy. Close to area attractions and beaches. Very friendly owner and neighbors.

Lovely house:)
We loved our stay here - it was wonderful to have the pool, and the house is a wonderfully restored older home with lots of character. The marina so close by with a public boat launch was the icing on the cake!

Hidden gem
Very nice property we had 2 families here plenty of room. The pool was the best part nice and relaxing. Owner always available and good with responding quickly. Beach pass was awesome! Only 2 little problems the down stairs basement laundry room was full of unwanted little critters . The upstairs 2 bedrooms have no tv and no shower just 1/2 bath. Not too good for 2 families spitting the house. Other than that perfect location just far enough away from civilization

Barnstable Beauty
Stayed in this great property in Marstons Mills for a week and loved it. House has everything you need and the pool was a huge hit for kids and adults. Deep pool so be careful with little ones. The stream in the back has quick access to the ocean bays via kayaks - you will need to walk the first 50-100 yards so bring water shoes or sandals but the stream bed is firm, not muddy. Once in the bays your options are endless.
Quiet street but easy access to grocery store, baseball, the Kettle Ho, malls, beaches, Rte 6....
