Tuscany in June

The setting is a high spot in rural Tuscany with a beautiful view in all directions. The property was clean, well-furnished and a quiet, comfortable place to stay. The nearest town is San Giovanni d'Asso, which is a 5-7 minute drive. The restaurant in the fortress there is definitely worth a trip. We found our stay there thoroughly enjoyable and would consider staying there again should our travels take us to Tuscany.

Bellisima!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Podere Ampella. The setting was in the most beautiful and scenic of spots we saw in all of Tuscany ( believe me, we got lost so many times that we can safely say we saw most of Tuscany;). The house is charming and comfortable and suited our family of 6. We had ample room and my kids really enjoyed the pool. What a nice treat after touring ( and getting lost) during a hot July day. The house is very clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Highly recommended and would love to return again one day! Thank you, Paola! We are going to miss those sunsets:(

Schitterende week in Toscane

Wonderfull stay in the countryside

This is a great place to get away from it all, yet close enough to Sienna, Montalcino, etc. Our property was very spacious and clean with a nice kitchen and family room area. We appreciated having a washing machine halfway thru our trip. Though there was only 2 of us, I could see going back here with more people. We had a great inexpensive dinner in one of the close little towns near by. The views from our place were incredible, but note that there are no vineyards, more like rolling farmland. This place is very isolated out in the countryside. If you want see Tuscany, this a good selection.

Lovely view, comfortable cottage, nice pool

We stayed for one week at this lovely stone cottage (casa beppe) and had a wonderful time. The cottage was clean and comfortable, and was well-equipped with everything that was needed for four people. A dip in the pool in the afternoon was very refreshing after visiting the many charming villages of the region. Our only complain was that the Internet wasn't working most of the time, which was rather inconvenient. Paula and Laura were both lovely and very accommodating. I would recommend this villa to anyone who would like a relaxing place to stay while visiting the beautiful Tuscan countryside.

A Week in Tuscany

Two retired couples, seeking to explore Tuscany, rented this villa for a week. The villa is centrally located, making our daily excursions easy. The property is situated on top of a hill, surrounded by beautiful vistas. It's peaceful, rural setting suited us perfectly, yet we were only minutes from San Giovanni d'Asso, a small medieval village in which to buy groceries, have lunch or enjoy a coffee or glass of wine at the cafe. The villa itself, with two bedrooms and two baths, was perfect for two couples. The downstairs living room, dining room and kitchen were ideal for our stay-in evenings after our days of exploring. It was a comfortable and welcoming place to come home to each evening. Paola and Laura were exceptional hosts, especially when one of our group lost her passport and they facilitated it's recovery! They went way beyond what was expected. We loved our week in Tuscany, an experience enhanced by this lovely villa. We would stay there again without hesitation. Lorraine

The McDonalds from Canada purchased this villa on December 2017 . They are Trusting me ( Paola ) to find guests and to make sure they have a great Holiday in Tuscany.

Why they chose this property

Paul and I feel in love with Podere Ampella as soon as we drove up the driveway. We had been looking at homes in Italy for a couple of years but when we saw our Villa Ampella we feel in love with the house. It was exactly what we envisioned all these years while looking for our home in Tuscany. The views from every window is a painting of Cyprus trees and rolling hills. The house is spacious with a wonderful family room and big dining room. As an Italian myself the dining room was very important. The bedrooms are a perfect size. Having 2 full bathrooms on the upper floor and a half bathroom on main floor is an added bonus not found in most homes. The patio in the back with views to die for was were we saw ourselves having an espresso in the morning or dinner with a glass of Brunello at night.
Tuscany is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life and our Villa Ampella will help make your dreams come true. It made our dream of Tuscany come true.
