THE LOCAL AREA:
This area is called Boscombe which is located between central Bournemouth and Christchurch, whilst being an important and busy part of Bournemouth and has a variety of amenities to suit most purposes. Boscombe is a busy seaside resort with an abundance of shopping and night time activity of its own. Boscombe is close enough to central Bournemouth for you take full advantage of both places, whether you walk, take a bus or taxi. Bournemouth is famous for its Chines and Boscombe has its very own, known as Boscombe Chine, which is a verdant delight of woodland walks where you may watch out for squirrels, and with a round of crazy golf thrown in for good measure. Boscombe Pier is an enroute stop for the summertime open top buses running between Hengistbury Head, Bournemouth and Alum Chine. The seasonal land train also runs along the Promenade underneath the cliffs to Bournemouth and beyond - you may stroll all the way if you wish. There are mainline railway stations at Pokesdown and Bournemouth. The sea off Boscombe beach is perfect for early morning swimming, surf lessons and body boarding. There are plenty of watersports to choose from in Bournemouth and neighbouring Poole - even if you're a beginner.

THE DESTINATION:

At Bournecoast we give you freedom of choice by offering an impressive selection of Self Catering accommodation in one of the most beautiful destinations in the United Kingdom. Dorset is a very popular holiday destination all year round. It offers beautiful rolling countryside, dramatic scenery, charming market towns, character villages and miles of some of the finest sandy beaches in the UK. Bournemouth lies to the east of the county and offers seven miles of blue flag beaches. It is near the market town of Christchurch with its 11th century Priory Church, ruined castle and Saxon mill, and the stunning medieval New Forest. The area caters for diverse interests, the popular buzzing beach resort in Bournemouth with its vibrant nightlife; the gentler pursuits of walking, wildlife and bird-watching in the nature reserves and national parks, and along the 20 miles of Bournemouth Coast footpath; and active pursuits such as cycling, sailing, rowing, canoeing, windsurfing, kite-surfing and sea kayaking. Popular also for touring, Southampton, the Isle of Wight, Salisbury and Stonehenge are all within reasonable travelling distance. Dorset features some excellent museums, with world leading centres at Bovington (The Tank Museum, telling the history of military vehicles), and the Russell Cotes Museum and Art Gallery in Bournemouth. Other museums include the Dorset County Museum in Dorchester, The Red House in Christchurch, the Royal Signals Museum at Blandford, and the award winning Brewers Quay in Weymouth. Many smaller towns have their own local museums.

Good accomodation No WiFi
We enjoy our holiday. The access to the House with a Code works without problems. In the kitchen you find everything they have one fridge extra for drinks and one huge with a freezer. One thing is important when you car is huge like a estate car in our case parking could be a challange the road to the house is very crowded. The neighbours were nice and moved their cars that we could park. The only missing thing was WiFi. I hope they work on it.

Thus is the second time staying. It is conveniently close to our family so we can visit but still have space away. Great location for visiting Dorset attractions and shopping in Bournemouth and Poole. Only downside is no wifi

Convenient location
We were at the property for 10 days. It was conveniently situated to family close by, the beach and a little bit of Sightseeing. A mix up with the door code was quickly sorted with the property management. Off road parking was great as the area was very busy with on road parking. Wifi would have been good but wasn't absolutely necessary for our stay

Looks a little worn in the area but don't let that put you off. Bus station is ten mins walk and with cheap family tickets with regular buses, we went all over. Very highly recommended.

Boscombe August 2020
Check in poor. Cleaner there upon arrival. Pleasant woman and very helpful. When she left we checked access code working as hadn’t previously. Didn’t work. Panic stations as near 5pm. Couldn’t access online help. Spoke to neighbor who had owner number. Called owner who gave new code which worked but no hint of apology which would have been very appropriate. Superficially all good with house. Inspection revealed living room sofas beyond best before date. Musty damp smells in several parts of house. Pans dangerous as handles scorching when boiled. Frying pans very unsightly. Table cloths unsightly. House probably fine a few years ago but now needs a makeover. Boscombe very deprived. Only a new government could manage the makeover needed there. Some of the environments that human beings are subjected to in this country are a disgrace.

Wirklich „the coast with the most“
Dort ist immer was los.

Clean, comfortable and well situated property but no internet
This property was well suited to our needs. It had enough space, and was clean and tidy throughout. Opposite a lovely park, a short walk into town, and with plenty of convenience stores close by. The outdoor space was great too. The lack of internet was a real disappointment though. I actually think this wasn’t clearly stated in the property description when I first booked some months ago because I wouldn’t have booked this property if I’d noticed it. The lack of internet was more prominent when I checked the details again some weeks later. If I want to be offline, I’d stay somewhere more remote. I don’t need moral judgement from a holiday house on whether I should be connected or not. If this property offers internet in the future, I’ll book again.

Nice house, area not so great
House was great with some very lovely and welcome touches - kitchen basics for us to use, really comfy beds with lovely linen, books and dvds available, easy to use heating and appliances and some useful info about the area too - though we really could have done with recommendations about local restaurants as we weren’t sure where to go in a hurry with hungry kids. WiFi and a hairdryer would also be useful. The main thing was the area the house is in is a little rundown for our tastes, but as you get into Boscombe and onto the beach it’s lovely. All in all a lovely stay though! Thank you!
