Welcome


We bought Cormorant cottage in November 2016 because we love the area and adore the house. It is our intention to stay there as often as we can, and rent it out at other times. So it truly is our home from home.
NOW WITH STUNNING GLASS FRONTED BALCONY
Cormorant Cottage is part of a delightful steading conversion on the outskirts of Coldingham with its beautiful beach, historic priory and country walks. Nearby St Abbs has stunning cliff top walks, a small harbour from which diving is available and a marine reserve. To the south is Eyemouth with its active fishing harbour, fishing museum, beach and shopping.
The cottage provides luxury self catering accommodation with views to the countryside and sea which is about 1/2 a mile away by public footpath. The cottage has recently been renovated to a high standard in a fresh contemporary style but still including a wood-burning stove to ensure a cosy core to the stylish interiors. The aim is to create a relaxing peaceful ambiance and a base in the perfect location for your Scottish Borders and North Northumbria holiday adventures. A bottle of complementry Prosecco awaits you on your arrival.
The main road artery the A1 is only a few miles away for travels further afield and with Railway Stations at Berwick upon Tweed and Dunbar journeys to Edinburgh or Newcastle or beyond without the strain of driving are an easy option.


Cormorant Cottage has its three bedrooms and two bathrooms downstairs, allowing a full open plan upstairs living area. The upstairs living area has a full length glass front , leading onto a fabulous glass fronted balcony, with views to the sea and open countryside.

Friends Catch up

Really impressed from start to finish. Lovely property and location. Big table that sits 10 that we used all weekend to eat, drink and catch up. All little things that were supplied , lovely bottle of fizz and some shortbread. Fantastic bedrooms and just felt like home.

Fabulous short stay

We had a really wonderful few days. Even the dog thought it was great! The house was very well equipped, they had thought of everything. Communication with the owner was good and quick with the response with the answers for our questions. We would not hesitate in recommending a stay here.

Fab house near Coldingham and walking distance to the beach. Great facilities and balcony view of the sea, very nice decor, enjoyed our days out to nearby coastal towns and cosy nights in. Kitted out with everything you need for your lovely beach break. Would recommend to family & friends.

Lovely property. Plenty room for 2 families. Very lovely interior detail. Dogs loved sitting looking at the view from the glass balcony. Ideal location for beach walks. Everything was great. The only issue we had was as it's pet friendly a friend who is allergic to dogs had a really bad time. Not sure if there's much that can be done about that though.

Very relaxing stay

This house has all you could ever need, it is clearly a very loved holiday home. I have never been anywhere that has provided so many of the basics, tea, coffee etc but oils, spices, cleaning stuff etc. The house is beautifully decorated. We were very lucky with the weather and able to sit out on the balcony. Spar in the village has most things. The dog loved Coldingham Beach.

Had a lovely stay wish weather had been better. House was lovely and had everything we needed if we had chosen to cook a meal. Would have been great to see the sea from the balcony but it was foggy. Had 2 dogs with us and would have been great if there was an enclosed garden for them to run around.

Pet friendly getaway

Comfortably fits a family of 5 adults also including 3 medium sized dogs. The views, even in winter, where stunning. The property has all everyday comforts and with directions provided was easy enough to find. A slight hiccup with the heating being on a timer and therefore a bit colder during the day but otherwise loved our stay and would recommend others to do the same!

Beautiful

Set just off the coast with a view of the sea, this place was just perfect. The beach was walking distance away which was great for us. The balcony was an added bonus. Beautifully decorated with a stove to keep us warm. Powerful shower with plenty room in the bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you could ask for. Definitely worth a visit

Sea view cottage

Cormorant Cottage was fantastic 👍 The best holiday home we have stayed in. Everything you could wish for and more! The view from the balcony was amazing! The beds were very comfy, slept so well! It is only a short walk into Coldingham village. There is a path that goes behind the cottage down to the beach, where we had lots of fun! Beautiful Cottage 5*****

This was a wonderful cottage, sadly due to a gas issue we had no heating or hot water, the owners went out of there way to help and support our needs, we were warm with extra heaters that they brought in and had 4 bags of logs for the log burner left with there compliments and used the local leisure facilities for showers. We couldn't want for anything, the communication was excellent, it is a beautiful place and location and would strongly recommend it to anyone , we cant wait to visit again, the owners are amazing and there is nothing you need to take as they have thought of everything!! 5 stars all the way. Thanks so much for your kindness..

Outstanding property

We went as 2 families to stay at the outstanding cormorant cottage for 3 nights! The property was outstanding… very well kitted out with everything you would need for a few days away.. A great place to gather with friends and family. Lovely beach walks for kids and dogs. We didn’t eat out so cannot comment on the nearby restaurants/pubs. We are at home using the lovely kitchen facilities and did some home cooking! The only downside of the stay is double bedroom number 2 is on the small side. The weather was very kind to us. Hats off to the owners they have provided everything that you could possibly need. A definite 9/10 from us …Would highly recommend this property.

Fabulous home, Great location ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

If you want a great family holiday then look no further!! The home is beautiful, equipped with everything you could imagine and sitting on the balcony watching the sea and wildlife (we saw deer, hares, rabbits) is close to heaven☀️ Coldingham is beautifully unspoilt, the beach walkable from the cottage and was a great location for bodyboarding and lots of other activities and lifeguard patrolled 10-6 Bereick, Eyemouth are both work a visit and Edinburgh is within an hour from Berwick or Park and Ride, we went 3 times. Amazing memories Cormorant Cottage 🙏🏼🙏🏼

Lovely cottage

A really nice place to stay and relax .The cottage is within easy walking distance of Coldingham , and its lovely beach. The cottage itself had a lovely outlook out over the fields to the sea and St Abbs . It is very comfortable and well kitted out . We loved all the little touches and the kitchen / lounge area was a great place to relax in the evening. Great comfy bed in the master bedroom and a super shower in the en-suite .All in all a fantastic cottage to stay in.

Wonderful

Lovely place to stay, great location such a quiet area. Unfortunately we couldn't use the bath, as there was no plug. But this was the only issue we had. Also to use the oven the clock needs to be set first. Which is simple to do, just press the small round button to the left if the click display. We will definitely look to return we all had a wonderful restful break.
