You can enjoy a relaxing holiday in the heart of Tuscany surrounded by nature and peace.
Close to San Gimignano, the casale is the starting point for visiting the important Tuscan cities of Art, villages, castles, and the famous hills of Tuscany.
Our two apartments, Alba or Tramonto, warmly furnished with antique furniture and restored with traditional Tuscan materials, can comfortably accommodate 2 people each.
The property consists of other two apartments for guests and, on the back, the house of the owners.
The house is located at the center of a large and flourishing garden with SWIMMING POOL.
The garden has a collection of over 600 rose plants and other flowers whose flowering alternates during the months throughout the year.
The owners can ensure you privacy or assistance depending on what you prefer.
Children stay free up to 4 years.
The pool is open from May 1 to September 30.

A hilltop paradise
Well appointed, comfortable, lovely hosts on site. If you want to enjoy the Tuscan countryside, the view of the olive groves and the vineyards, this is a great place. Refreshing pool for those warm days as well. The ultimate relaxation vacation.

Spacious, Comfortable Apartment for exploring Tuscany
The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. The gardens and pool were well tended with lots of beautiful rose bushes. The location is nice for exploring Certaldo and San Gimignano. The host, Mario was very hospitable and charming to speak with. He told us a lot about the history of the area, which we enjoyed.

a great Tuscany experience
We loved staying here - the apartment is wonderfully equipped and relatively cool after the heat of the day. The pool is wonderful and the views are spectacular. The property is well situated for easy access to many of the attractions of Tuscany and we could have stayed there for very much longer. The garden is restful, mature and peaceful. Best in Tuscany
Mario, Annalinda and Valentina are the very best of host. From Podere San Luigi we took day trips to Seina, Volterra, Montipulciano and Florence. At the end of each day we took the most important trip back to what easily became, "Home". Waking at dawn and watching the sunrise over the valley was like gazing into Heaven. The sounds of nature are abundant and peaceful, only disturbed by the occasional bark of the family dog as he announced a passer by. Having a vehicle is a must, it gives you the freedom to come and go as you please. My advice to anyone planning a trip to Tuscany is to avoid the tour packages that limit your time and steer you to the tourist traps. Get out on your own and explore the riches of Tuscany. And by all means book your stay at Podere San Luigi.

Haben dort Mitte Mai für knapp zwei Wochen gewohnt. Die Nähe bzw. die Mitte der Toskana hat diese Unterkunft für uns in den Fokus gerückt. Bis nach San Gimignano braucht man nur 8 Minuten. Nach Certaldo (nächster großer Supermarkt) 10 Minuten. Der Weg zur Unterkunft geht über einen alten Pilgerweg, so dass einem dort Wanderer, Fahrradfahrer und loser Untergrund entgegenkommen. Mit einem tiefergelegten Fahrzeug oder einem Sportwagen ist man hier definitiv falsch. Die Unterkunft bietet ein gut funktionierendes WLAN (bis an den Pool), internationales Fernsehen (de, fr, en, it z.b.), sowie gut ausgestattete kleine Küche sowie eine ordentliche Klimatisierung. Der Garten um den Hof bietet einen Vielzahl an Pflanzen in Hülle und Fülle; zum Beispiel legt die Familie viel Wert auf ihre Rosen (ca. 200 Stück). Wer also Blumen - und insbesondere Rosen - liebt, ist hier goldrichtig. Es steht ein eingezäunter Parkplatz auf dem Grundstück zur Verfügung - hier können auch Motorräder sicher abgestellt werden. Um den Hof herum hat man einen herrlichen Blick über Weinberge, Olivenhaine und Weizenfelder. Der Pool ist unbeheizt und hatte zu unserem Besuch ca. 21 Grad Celsius - gerade perfekt an einem heißen Tag - ansonsten im Mai evtl. noch etwas kühl. Wenn man der Straße folgt (ca. 200 m) findet man sogar noch ein kleines Restaurant/Hotel - dort wird in der Hauptsaison auch Frühstück angeboten. Es gibt 4 Apartments, eines davon mit Balkon und ein weiteres mit Terrasse. Das Apartment mit Terrasse liegt jedoch in Richtung Straße und am Eingang zu den anderen Appartements und somit kann einem jeder Mitbewohner auf den Teller schauen. Grundsätzlich bietet das Grundstück zwischen Haus und Pool aber mehrere Möglichkeiten zu viert zu sitzen und zu essen. Die Besitzer haben einen Hund und zwei Katzen - man sieht die Tiere jedoch sehr selten. Wir würden wieder kommen.
